The atmosphere entering the hotel was spot on. Welcoming from the staff was warm, friendly and perfect The room itself was gorgeous, 4 poster bed that was beautifully built and we loved the black/gold theme! We had expected some noise given location but nothing disturbed us at all! The AC was great, meant you can set the temp to your liking, perfect for us as we prefer being cool overnight! The bed was a great size, very comfy and the duvet was to die for!

The pillows were down, which were too soft for us. Would have preferred Panda make to match the amazing duvet! We expected the bathroom to be small, but it was slightly smaller that expected.

Really great location and staff, and the room was brilliant, cosy and exactly as described. We were brought coffee and pastries in the morning and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We will definitely be back!

A lot of the water jets in the shower head were blocked meaning the shower was very low pressure. The sink was very small and we found it hard to use. A lot of the apps on the tv didn’t work including YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime. These weren’t dealbreakers, just a few little touches that need upgrading.

Very well located and staff were super friendly. They gave us a free soap when we got there and made us feel comfortable. The room itself was modern and the hot tub was amazing. The entire hotel is beautiful and we can’t wait to go back. The breakfast was really nice as well and brought us immediately.

The John Terry room was a bit small inside and the bathroom was quite a tight fit. It’s also quite loud in the hotel and you can often hear other guests and then things being moved round the hotel. We would probably opt for a bigger room next time. It’s also extremely expensive for a small room.

We loved the unique decor and the amazing location of The Impossible Motel in York. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It’s a beautiful old building with tons of charm, but as a Grade II listed property, it comes with quirks – like thin walls and some street noise. One downside was receiving a noise complaint during a private moment, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable afterwards. Not ideal when you've paid for a quality stay. Still, the place is fantastic if you don’t mind a lively atmosphere. Just maybe not the best choice for light sleepers or those seeking total privacy.

Fantastic location. We had the hot tub option which was incredible. Great sound proofing as live music playing in another bar but once door closed couldn't hear it. White company shower gel and shampoo a great touch. Comfy bed. Very secure and discount at Impossible restaurant. Plenty of tea and coffee.

Found hole in the bathrobe Stain on the cushion outside the room Despite messaging ahead our arrival I had to ring the bell twice and then still wait to be checked in. Not a huge deal but in full ladies day outfits and having walked from the races we just wanted to get checked in. Hot tub very hot on arrival but despite us covering overnight did not seem as hot the next day. Bed had no headboard and gap between bed and walls so pillows could slide down.

Easy booking, good communication around requests, check in was super quick , staff were very helpful and friendly, reasonably priced . Rooms were quirky and fun , location was excellent we were travelling by train so an easy walk from station. Rooms were quirky but spacious and very clean. There was a 10% discount for residents on the adjoining bar which we used for dinner.

It’s in a busy location and we stayed there on the weekend so you can hear people socialising in the street below, it didn’t bother us we slept fine but if you need quiet or are a light sleeper it might be an issue but wasn’t for us and there was earplugs in the room if required.

We needed accommodation close to the ferry terminal. Our ferry back from the Isle of Man was not due back into Heysham till after midnight. With prior communication, proprietor allowed us to park in hotel car park ahead of our trip out. No fuss key safe to let ourselves in. Accommodation was very clean and presentable., notably a soopa comfy bed and pillows. Room equipped with lots of tea, coffee, and milk, shower contained lovely smelling bathing products. Pub right next door, didn't visit but serves food. All in all, a pleasant whistlestop stay, ideal for foot passengers on the ferry in and out of Heysham, like ourselves.

Excellent Location. Friendly Staff. I parked at Marygate Car Park, which was roughly a 10min stroll. The main entrance to the hotel is rather discreet, and there is a buzzer to be allowed in. Very private from the moment I arrived. The room was as expected; small but very comfortable. The private patio and hot tub made for a much needed relaxing evening. The rain shower and good water pressure were also a welcome surprise. The bed was incredibly comfortable with the quality of linens I’d expect from a 4/5star hotel. Yes, the room is dark even with a window, but all the different lighting options made putting on makeup or getting dressed not a problem. I didn’t see another person except at reception. I wanted a night away from staying in busy hotels on a road trip and Impossible hit the mark. York was also incredibly beautiful. Perhaps I’ll return someday with a friend.

The bathroom sink was too small to be functional washing up, but shower made up for it imo. There was also a musty/earthy smell to the room that could have just been the way old buildings smell.

This was amazing not just saying it well thought out timy room but it’s all you need massive out door bit hot tub was hot staff all amazing rang me about the music I was just about to kick off and got a bit out of it doen York and playing it 4am and asked nicely to tutn it down not off I looked like an idiot haha.
