The location is absolutely superb, perfect central location. The apartment was spacious and inviting. The fans in the rooms were much needed in the summer heat. The views across the roof tops of York were beautiful. The bedroom was a great space lovely and bright in the morning, with a comfortable bed, although on the smaller side. It was definitely cosy with two people in it. The kitchen was a good size with lots of amenities, allowing us to make breakfast each day of our stay and just enjoy the morning sun coming through the skylight windows. A great place to stay in the middle of a stunning city.

The bathrooms...they were both pretty small and impractical. They could have been much better thought out. The hot water tank was in a cupboard in our apartment, it made quite a bit of noise whenever someone used hot water. There was no extraction in the kitchen which caused some issues when cooking.

I loved the location, we stayed tues and weds night. Reviews indicated it was noisy, like a drug den etc! I found it great! No noise considering where it was, comfortable well equipped bedroom. We had a fan, bottled water, snacks, ear plugs - which werent needed - and a spotless wet room. I thought it was great! Great kitchenette in communal area with good quality tea and coffee, choice of milk if you are lactose intolerant (N/A) to us but a nice touch, and 2 cordials also. Great checking in instructions, easy and simple.

Stairs! There were warnings about this though, there isnt a lift. As we're middle aged, it felt a slog in the heat ( trust us to go on hottest day of the year!)

Great location… central to everything… 5-10 min walk to York Minster, The Shambles, high street shops and tourist attractions. Seconds away from bars and restaurants. This meant it was loud throughout the night due to party goers (we stayed Friday and Saturday night)… although this didn’t bother us, it wouldn’t be suitable for some.

Shower was boiling hot… couldn’t turn the temperature down. Water in the taps was cold only… even the hot water tap. The shower cubicle was also really small… and no, I’m not large! No latch on the toilet door and the handle was falling off, although there was a lock. Could do with a lick of paint, bit tired looking and dark… no main lighting, only had wall lights which were dim and side lights.

Amazing apartment, Great facilities in the center of York. Walking distance to all attractions, conveinent for shopping, food, restaurants and pubs. Very spacious, I could just live there!

The sofa in the lounge was a futon and not very comfortable, which didn't bother me as I was only there overnight but it would have been a problem if I was there for a week. There was no one available on site. I was told to go into the pub/restaurant underneath, if I needed anything but it was all locked up as it was midweek. Luckily I found the apartment and had my phone for details etc. This would be a problem if you were a tourist that doesn't have WiFi or can't speak English.

The location of the propertie is excellent. We really felt we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. All manner of restaurants and bars right on the doorstep. The apartment was very modern and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities needed for our short stay. The apparent exceeded our expectations with regards to size, decor and amenities. Coffee, tea and even some milk was provided.

Although the location of the property is excellent, it is next to a lot of bars, so there was some noise in the evening. Ear plugs were provided, which was very thoughtful. We visited during a heatwave which meant we had the windows open during the evenings which meant we had to compromise and put up with the noise levels. The bed was super soft, which isn't necessarily a negative, just not our preference.

The location was exceptional, rooms were very clean and well kept, and the staff was more than friendly, showing us to the room and helping us find the place

parking, stairs and bathrooms, parking felt like a million miles away with cases to carry, top floor is a major work out but the showers are a different story, they where clean and well stocked as was the rest of the rooms but when it come to getting in the shower, the shower only had one setting and that was extremely hot, there is no ventilation such as a fan or a window so while your getting your skin melted off with the shower you can't breath because it becomes a sauna they where also very small, not sure why there was two pokey bathrooms that had a shower and toilet some how squeezed into both??? Sitting on the toilet was a challenge too, very wobbly, and felt like it was about to pull out of the wall!! Don't think it's worth the £214 for the one night,

Great location, the room itself was quite quaint and spacious. I liked that they allowed you to keep your bags next door after you’ve checked out, so that was very convenient as we didn’t have to lug our bags around while we explored the town. They also provided ear plugs and bottled water which was very thoughtful!

It was noisy BUT I knew that when I made the booking so I am not complaining! Like I said, they provided ear plugs and I knew from other reviews what to expect. I was able to sleep fine with the ear plugs. I was there on a Thursday night and the live music from below was still ongoing at 2am. Just a heads up!

Thank God this place was available! I made a very long journey from Saint-Petersburg to York via London and Manchester to see Gary Oldman on stage and I thought that alongside with that event I should choose better accommodation. Firstly I stayed in hostel but it was quite far away from the Royal York Theatre so I immediately changed my plans and it was two highly comfortable days and nights for a very nice price. Everything was clean, smelled good and looked cute. THE Bed is Heaven!! Location was also absolutely perfect, I saw my house from York Minster! I came back like 5-6 times during the day to leave gifts I bought and went for a walk at late evenings around the town without any problem. Enjoyed a lot, I would absolutely stay there again. (the kettle was extremely fast, like 10 seconds and your boiled water is ready to be part of Yorkshire tea, omg, what a speed!)

I really needed salt for my spagetti :D there was only sugar but it`s not a big problem :)

This lovely flat is right in the centre of York, in the heart of the picturesque shops , pubs and restaurants of the Stonegate area. The flat was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Milk, tea, coffee were provided along with a voucher for a bottle of wine to have with a meal at the tapas bar next door, which was absolutely delicious! The only slight hitch is that there is no driving within the centre of York between 10.30 and 5pm. We did not see this on the property information, and didn’t realise we wouldn’t be able to drop off our suitcases before parking. We had to park outside the area, then take all our cases and bags for a 10 minute walk.. luckily, a glass of something refreshing wasn’t far away!!

My daughter and I spent one night here and it was absolutely perfect. We had a twin room with a large wet room. Plenty of hangers and space for cases and clothes. Nice touches of extra pillows/towels/bottles of water/biscuits and crisps. There was a kitchen area available to make tea/coffee/hot chocolate with a fridge with fresh milk (not a UHT Sachet!) , and there were also fresh diary alternatives available. I did read previous review, and someone said there was graffiti up the stairs- nope, this was artwork - very cool and colourful. Location was excellent literally 2 mins from shambles and about 15 from train station. I would definitely recommend for a return trip.

There is no lift so if you have mobility issues you would struggle.
