The location is fantastic, located on a bus route from the station and within easy walking distance (5 minutes) of York’s centre and all the amenities it offers. What an interesting building with great communal tiled areas. (Short flight of stone steps on entry). To say the apartment is spacious is an understatement. Beautifully furnished and with excellent sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, 2 ensuites and an additional toilet, plus sofa bed was perfect. Though there was 5 of us, it can accommodate 6 easily. it was like home from home, perfect for one night stay or longer. A great alternative to an hotel, would definitely recommend.

Excellent location, right by the city walls. 5/10 minute walk to most of the city shops, restaurants and attractions and only about 20/25 minute walk to the train station. Not noisy even though it’s right in the city. Felt safe and secure Plenty of space. Great little kitchen with everything we needed. Used deliveroo for dinner one night which was very quick and easy

Towels were very small, not really big enough for using after a shower. Didn’t seem to have all the crockery in the kitchen (plenty of plates but only one bowl) although I’m sure if asked reception may provide more

The apartment is great, there are 9 apartments in the same building. We stayed in Turpins loft on the top floor as a family of 5. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was spacious (but we didnt use it), bathroom was ok. The location is perfect, drift cafe across the road is a great, local breakfast spot and its a 10 minute walk to the shambles/minister. The balcony would have been great if it wasnt raining

Recieved check in details 10 minutes late, not the biggest deal but when your paying to check in at 3 and out at 10 which is already quite a short amount of time at the apartmen for the price paid its not the best. Also turpins loft was extremely hot! We travelled on a day it rained a lot and the temp was around 15 degrees and it was uncomfortably hot at night so we had to leave the balcony doors open. The only mirror in the second bedroom was really high on the wall so not very practical

The apartment is in an excellent location for tourism. Just far enough outside the city centre that it is quiet, but close enough that none of the major attractions are more than a 20 minute walk away, and most are much closer. The living space was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the bedroom was a good size with plenty of room for a large travel cot at the foot of the bed. Little touches that you don't get everywhere in apartments like this, such as provided coathangers, shampoo, soap and being offered regular towel changes were also appreciated. The whole apartment was finished to a high standard, and all the basics were provided. The WiFi was fast and reliable and the staff were friendly. Overall we would definitely stay again if we return to York in the future.

The design of the shower means that the bathroom floor has a tendency to get very wet. Not the end of the world, but a minor irritation. The shower unit itself is very nice with plenty of pressure I don't know if this is deliberate or if a previous occupant just misplaced it, but there was no plug provided for the sink. There is a dishwasher, which works for most washing up, but does not help much when you want to wash up baby bottles and other non dishwasher safe items.

3 night family stay. Perfect location with City walls right outside and 5min walk to the centre. Beautiful apartment and lovely balcony, very comfy. Very close to parking. We chose it as it gave us more space and freedom than a hotel as we have a 12mo who wants to constantly be toddling around. Would recommend and would stay again

Nearest parking is £16 per day and has to be paid at 8am each morning, we didnt quite make it one day and got a £25 fine at 9am (our fault, but worth noting if you want a lie in) Probably due to the age of the building the bedroom & bed was on a noticeable slant but we just moved the pillows to the foot of the bed so we were sleeping slanted head upwards and it was fine. It was single glazed (bedroom window has a cover over it to prevent draft) so it got a bit chilly on the first night but we had heating on for an hr before bed which fixed the issue the other 2 nights.

Location was fantastic - so close to the centre. Everything you need for a short family stay. The staff on reception were outstanding - so kind and nice. I have a SEN child, and they were so helpful giving us tips and routes to the centre that would be best for limited noise and not being over stimulating. It was a brilliant bonus to have this kind care and attention - really made us feel happy.

There were a few things left from previous guest that hadn’t been cleaned but it wasn’t a big deal. And a few repairs needed to the flat, but again - no big deal.

The apartment where we stayed was actually a house in the middle of York’s city centre. The property was very nice, comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals at home. The staff were very friendly and helpful, taking care of our bags before the check in and after the checkout so that we could go out and enjoy our time in York. Would definitely have them in mind next time we spend a couple of days in York.

The only downside was the mattress that was part of the sofa bed, it was thin and the person who spent the night could feel the metal bits underneath.

Very spacious apartment. Obviously set up for large groups, particularly for party groups. The kitchen was fitted with good quality facilities such as dishwasher, washing machine and an inductiion hob. You have the option of shower or bath. Two bathrooms. It is *very* central location. Very clean.

Check-in was not as straightforward as suggested. In future I think a lockbox would be more appropriate. You can't open windows and therefore no way to ventilate or cool down the rooms. It got very warm. Although very clean we did find bits and bobs from previous stays, for example, confetti and balloons.

Loved its central location as it was within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. The apartment was clean and well presented and the young lady we dealt with at Reception was very polite and efficient. We rented The Knavesmire apartment.

The sofa bed could do with a new mattress and bed linen that actually fits it. The extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working so the bathroom got quite damp. There are no windows you can open and no a/c so I imagine the apartment could get quite stuffy with a slightly bigger group than our three and on especially warm nights. I think it deserves a solid 8 out of 10 though because of its location.

Lovely clean apartment in a great location for Central York, literally a couple of minutes walk from York Minster and about fifteen minutes from the station. Big comfortable bed, with a sofa bed in the living room if required. Well kitted out kitchen with a full size oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, chopping boards, knives etc, so perfect if you want to eat in for some of your stay. Great shower with loads of spare towels, and shower gel, body lotion, shampoo provided. Tea bags, coffee and long life milk was out for you so you can have a brew on arrival, which is a nice touch. A great city break location, would definitely stay again.

There was no bath, not an issue for me but I know some people prefer them. There was a bit of noise on one evening from a local pub, but it was only audible in the living room, the bedroom was very peaceful. Cities are probably not the best location for anyone who is very sensitive to noise!
