We stayed at the Botham Suite for 3 nights and enjoyed the spacious apartment a lot. Comfortable bed, convenient bathroom and kitchen, well furbished front room and large private terrace with an ashtray. Location is top, with next door access to the city walls and short walking distances to pubs, eateries and major sites, peaceful at night. Very friendly and efficient receptionist. Would definitely stay there again.

If any, it's only minor points: the rain shower head could be cleaned, the bed sheet cover is a bit too small for the comfortable bed, and the water tab in the kitchen was leaking at the base.

Nice apartment, very clean and modern. Good equipment in the kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher etc. tea coffee and milk we’re available. Beds comfortable in both bedrooms, good pillows for some firm some soft. Comfortable sofa and chairs. Only stayed one night so didn’t use the kitchen facilities really but looked modern and clean. There were only 2 of us so bathroom was fine. One bedroom has en-suite with toilet sink and bath, only a shower in main bathroom, shower was compact but fine. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Small balcony which we enjoyed. Some traffic noise at night in bedrooms but was ok, it is on a main road which was really convenient to reach any place you want to visit in York, supermarkets, shops and restaurants very close so was ideal for us. It was on the top floor which meant climbing stairs, it was a lovely clean hallway with wide winding stairs, we were fine didn’t find them a struggle at all (I am no longer young or fit ha!) Communication with the hosts was good. I would recommend.

Was fine for us but if there are more of you staying longer the only wardrobe facility was an open hanger rail by the front door and only bedside cabinets small drawers so limited space for clothes etc. Just a recommendation maybe for my personal taste, some plants and greenery on the balcony as it is a bit bare and more clothes storage space in the eaves.

A beautifully presented 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment. Everything was nice, neat and clean. The quirkiness of the little building was preserved nicely and gave it a really nice and cosy atmosphere. All appliances, heating, shower and toilets worked to our complete satisfaction. The location was great, just next to one of the gates into the city centre. The public, paid carpark was absolutely fine and not expensive at all. It's only a 2 minute walk from the apartment.

The reason for traveling and staying at York was 2 appointments to attend. One was changed at short notice and I called to ask for letting us into the flat about 1 hour earlier on a short notice [the day before]. Unfortunately, the receptionist declined and behaved rather unprofessional, even hanging up the phone on me. However, within minutes a manager/owner called me back, apologised and all was arranged.

I’m a local and this is my second time staying at Goodramgate apartments. Both times have been due to emergencies rendering my home uninhabitable and myself needing emergency accommodation. With this being the second emergency within 3 years, I knew exactly where I wanted to go for the night after my last experience and was pleased an apartment was available. The staff are always brilliant, the apartments are beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you need. My stress levels were at maximum, but as soon as I stepped foot inside my worries melted away and I got a brilliant night’s sleep ready to tackle disaster head on the next day. The apartment I stayed in had the bonus of an outdoor terrace which was just as well designed as the apartment.

Location was absolutely perfect. Great views out of the window! Picking up and dropping off keys was very easy and the receptionists we dealt with were very helpful. Great pre-arrival instructions and the apartment was equipped with tea / coffee / sugar. Apartment was spotless.

Sofa beds were very hard and the noise from the street kept me awake until 3.40am providing earplugs would have solved that issue right away. Looking at past comments it is something they are aware of and to be fair should be expected at a City Centre location but something to be aware of. Take earplugs with you if staying here and all will be fine.

Location was a good central spot, beds were very comfy! Great price and very comfortable. Was clean!

It’s directly opposite an extremely loud night club which was open until 2am/3am. So I found it hard to fall asleep as the music from the club could be heard from the bedroom and also the drunk people shouting and fighting in the street kept me up too. The cups and glasses were kept upside and had that ‘wet dishwasher smell’ so had to wash everything again before using. Could hear people walking around heavily from above on our ceiling and dragging the chairs on the floor we heard quite loudly around 7am… guests from a different room were kicking and banging on our door in the early hours as they’d forgotten what flat was theirs. They did this to the other apartment next to us too.

Perfect location just a few minutes walk from everything. Room was lovely and clean and warm and had everything you'd need. Shower was amazing. Staff were very helpful and polite.

The room was very noisy. We didn't get much sleep. The boiler is in the bedroom and it constantly makes a noise. Also the walls are very thin and our neighbours were extremely loud. Luckily we had brought earplugs with us or we wouldn't have slept at all. It was a shame, because everything else was great but very poor sleep let it down.

Really surprised as to how nice this place was. It was a really well thought out spacious modern apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms had lovely ensuites and there was also a seperate bathroom. Didn't look like the pictures when we booked but was lovely regardless. It is literally opposite the York Dungeons and Opera House and around 30 seconds walk from the centre of town.

Recommended car park was quite far away and closed anyway due to flooding in the area. However, the Castle carpark is literally at the end of the street and 24 hours, so would have been a much better suggestion from them. Couldn't watch the TVs in the bedrooms as the remotes seemed to work on the opposite TV (even when we switched them over), really confusing, but no big deal really.

Central location, perfect for sight seeing and access to the main shopping area, also very close to the minster. City centre 5 minute walk which boasts a plethora of bars, shops & eateries. Apartment was clean and tidy and suitable for a couple with a kitchen area that has a full oven/hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and enough cutlery/utensils to enable visitors to cook if they wished. Shower room was spacious with a good working shower (you didn't need to run around to get wet). Definitely recommend just for the position alone.

The visitors that were in the apartment upstairs were very noisy, but thats just pot luck and luckily we aren't early to bed people, so didn't bother us too much.

The sofa bed could have done with pulling out and cleaning properly when cleaners cleaned previously and possibly replace the sofa bed mattress as was quite bumpy. On saying this, we did add blankets underneath to lie on, which made it more comfortable and only stayed for 2 nights, so not a huge deal. Staff did offer to take a look the following morning but we found it pointless as only 1 more night left ☺️
