The young lady who checked me in on the night of the 30th was awesome. She was very attentive to me and noticed I had quite a bit of luggage and I had a cane. She asked me if I would like a room on the first floor. When I said yes, she put me on the first floor and close to the exit. She was very nice and welcoming. I wish I had gotten her name. Having the ability to put my food in cold storage is definitely a plus. The shuttle bus to and from airport is great. I have stayed at Lakefront multiple times and it has always been an excellent experience.

At this point, there are no complaints. It is always clean and quiet place to layover. I will be staying there again this month for a week.

I was glad the hotel has a washer and dryer (on the third floor). The hotel is close to airport and has a 24 hr shuttle! The room was clean and the shower was great! I like that there are vending machines near elevator. Laundry soap available at check in. I love the cheery and knowledgeable reception desk lady (on my right) on the morning of 12/1/23.

I wish there was a washer and dryer on the 2nd floor, too, where my room was. The 12/01/23, 2:00 am shuttle driver was on the phone working out his relationship issues and didn't greet us as we got on shuttle. He didn't even finish his phone conversation before we exited the shuttle. He did open and close the shuttle door, though. I liked the (12/01/23, 2 am) helpful linen/towel guy near the elevator but his contacts covering his entire eyes was a bit disturbing.

Great location and size of rooms. For those who do not live in Alaska, the restaurant views are lovely and unique by being able to watch the float planes while you eat. When you book your stay with breakfast included, you get meal vouchers to use at the restaurant for anything on the menu. Quite handy when wanting a leisurely breakfast with options.

Be careful completing your check in online. The system charged my credit card twice because the system saves the card number twice (in the pre check-in system and in the actual hotel system). I had to wait until the next day to have a manager deal with it but it all worked out. I would play it safe and just check in when you actually arrive.

Much better than last stay a week ago. Patio was open, clean, and staffed. Check in problems were resolved. Our Serbian waitress spoke beautiful English and was excellent at her job. She told us she's studying Hospitality Services as a career. It showed. Food was still excellent. Don't lose your chef and kitchen staff. The place looked a lot more taken care of this week. Maintenance people were visible and busy. Thanks. Three Stars.

Restaurant still not open. Food still coming in and dirty dishes still going out the front door of the bar, which is doubling as the restaurant. I feel for the wait staff. Food was priced well. Wine and beer the same. Mixed spirits seemed high. With a $2 tip, a single Bloody Mary was $15.00. That's too high.

The location is beautiful on Lake Hood and close to airport.. Room was nice and clean, very comfortable king size bed. Nice linens and room was large. All the hotel staff were great, helpful and friendly. The bartender made a great Old Fashion, and the halibut and chips were great.

The carpet is looking worn. The breakfast hot bar was okay, not exceptional. I stayed at this hotel in May and menu breakfast was great!

What breakfast? Didn’t know there was one.

There was no microwave I could find. Fridge is behind a dresser cabinet door that is hinged on the left, fridge is hinged on right so it’s hard to get into fridge. In addition, when you open the door on the cabinet the safe door opens up getting in the way of the fridge door. All this caused my cup of coffee to end up on the floor. But, there was no way to warm it up anyway.

Dinner - the quality of the food was good. The view of the lake was pleasant. One of the waitresses was very friendly and solicitous, which we appreciated. Booking - we also made a mistake on the dates we expected to stay and one staff member went out of her way to accommodate us, which we greatly appreciated.

The waitstaff was grossly overworked. At times we waited quite a while before being informed that we had to seat ourselves. We also both had to sleep in one queen bed on the first night although we thought we had requested two beds - however, they were able to move us to a room with two beds for subsequent nights.

Breakfasts good but dining room closed

Our room was assigned to another guest and my credit card was charged with the stay. I was scheduled with Priceline for $255.05. That was May 25. Mu credit card was charged $300 June 8. I sent copies to Priceline and the Lakefront, and I called the Lakefront twice. No answer after numerous tries, answering recording only. I left a message twice with option 2, supposedly the manager, but to date there has been no response. This is unacceptable. Im a long time guest, back to the 90s. staff are helpful - 2nd time staying at this facility and would use again - being able to eat at in-house restaurants is a big advantage compared to many other Anchorage facilities

Norma menu breakfast was cancelled and replaced by buffet due to staff issues. While that is "okay" what was not okay was the selection of buffet hot items were actually just luke warm - no heaters under food containers were evident or working

I like the shuttle service, great bonus and made me feel safer with the transportation and appreciated the convenience. Room is very nice, clean, and bed was super comfy, probably the most comfortable I have stayed at.

I booked a king suite and got a double bed. I got a room key for a room on second floor and had come back down to check in desk because someone was already in the room. Then got a room on the third floor with double beds, not the king suite I booked.
