Very well maintained hotel with clean rooms and updated flooring. Extremely helpful and friendly staff who seem to take pride in their motel. Plenty of parking and easy access to the rooms. The rooms are spacious. There are a few scratches on the furniture but other than that it is well decorated and each room has a small refrigerator and microwave.

It would have been nice to have hard boiled eggs at breakfast, but other than that everything was great! They also don't have a traditional ice machine, but the friendly and attentive staff will gladly get you ice when you request it.

The staff was excellent! So incredibly helpful.... Location is also perfect, for both Burbank and for getting around the northern side of Los Angeles. It was also surprising to find the breakfast was included, just basic Continental breakfast but a really nice unexpected touch.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable, this is one of the more affordable options in the area, so of course I understand that impacts what you should expect. But if they just upgraded all the beds and bedding, this place would be somewhere I could stay again and again.

I love the location, the price, ample parking, the staff is amazing, free breakfast, free wifi. This has been my go-to place to stay the last few times I was in town and I will continue to stay here. If they ever did a frequent traveler program, I would sign up.

It would have been nice to have an extra lock on the door. Staying there alone, it would have been nice to just have that extra bit of security. Also, a vending machine by the ice machine would be nice. They do have the lobby open early and until about 10pm but it would be nice to be able to get an extra bottle of water or a pop without leaving the premises. It is currently under construction so maybe those things will be added at a later date.

It’s always great for the location and value makes it so we can get the heck out of La in the morning and on the road back home only thing I wish they could do is reopen their coffee shop even if it’s the breakfast room as it’s been in so many movies TV shows and commercials that I’ve seen

I never really have complaints about the property. They do a really good job on everything.

Good facilities, comfortable room and great continental breakfast with your stay. Staff are very helpful. The lovely lady who I checked in with was kind enough to put me in a ground floor unit across from reception - as a solo traveller this was comforting. Towels changed daily. Really close to places like Universal and Warner Bros Studios and then only a short drive to Hollywood. Good area away from the hustle and bustle and it has places like Walmart and many fast food chains close by. A great little gem!

A little outdated and need some firmer pillows but otherwise nothing!

Because we were leaving early in the morning the staff let us grab yogurt, some packaged breakfast goodies the night before to keep in the mini fridge in the room. Overall the room like many rooms in older motels was a bit dark ( just lamps) and of course every outlet we used to charge some device. Would be nice to have a clock that has plug in’s by the bed or an extension with more plugs. Some of the woodwork in the room was very worn but overall we were satisfied and some of the room looked updated as far as flooring and bathroom area. We got in later in the evening and the lot was well lit but I’m not familiar with this area so maybe I felt some personal discomfort from not knowing what sort of area we were in.

Something to allow for more plug ins to charge devices. A bit more lighting options?

Loved the staff and the history of the hotel. Breafast was good. Staff went above and beyond for us. We actually rented an apartment for the last part of our CA vacation but we're so impressed with Portafino that we cut our stayshort bys day and return to the laid-back atmosphere of Burbank after visiting the city of LA

Absolutely everything was great

The setup of the room, the amenities were great, and the lady who ran the desk that night was an absolute dream!!! I will be staying here again! It was clean, comfortable, everything worked, and the lobby offerings are great! The plants and cleanliness of the courtyard and outer area was fantastic! Ample parking, easy access, and rather large room. I mean, there is enough space for a long size bed and a chaise lounge, desk, chair and mini fridge.

My only gripe, and it's a very small one is that the toilet plunger needs replacing as it doesn't always seem to go back to its set position every time. And the shower head was not great. But again, these are extremely minor things in what is a truly amazing place to stay!

The room was very spacious and the king size bed was huge and very comfortable. The location was excellent with shops and food nearby. Continental breakfast included was a nice touch. The room had everything we needed for our short stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had!

The air con was very noisy

At first glance, it seemed like an old rundown motel. When we got into the room, it had been updated and was a very nice room. It had a nice Chase lounge to sit on in the room, crown molding, and everything seemed pretty new. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice for a continental breakfast
