The location and the room were all fine. We stayed for only one night. At one point there was a police car outside in the parking lot for about 15-20 minutes. Two officers seemed to be handling some situation with some hotel guests. There didn’t seem to have anyone on staff at night, at least the office didn’t seem to have anyone attending. The following morning when we left our room keys inside the empty office, it still didn’t look like anyone was on duty. Perhaps it’s just how safe the small town is that hotels don’t need night staff/security? Not sure how we’d get in touch with the staff members had we needed assistance that night. Luckily everything went ok.

The room door opens to the open parking lot which is open to the street, and there didn’t seem to be any overnight staff/security on site. Luckily Cambria seems to be a safe town.

The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed, a clean and well-made bathroom with all the necessary amenities. I just needed a place to crash for the night on my motorcycle ride from San Francisco to LA and had to stop by for the night, this was the perfect place for such a brief stay and looking at the neighborhood and how nice the motel was, I'd definitely book it for a longer stay should I visit the Big Sur area for a longer time. The front desk lady was very friendly even though I arrived late and out of check-in hours due to a detour I had to take on the road and weather conditions slowing me down, she let me check in without any extra fees, for which I am very grateful.

The only thing I could complain about was the temperature, it was a bit cold for me and the AC's heating function didn't seem to work, but I did not bother about it as I was only in for a good night's sleep and for that, it wasn't that big of an issue.

Creekside Inn is our hotel of choice for short stays in Cambria. While the ocean views and some other luxury amenities are certainly superior on Moonstone Beach, this small hotel is quiet, supremely clean, and within walking distance of the shops and restaurants on the east side of town. There's a great balcony view of the local creek, and frogs will sing you to sleep on a spring or summer night. Linens, bathroom accessories, lighting, A/C are all top notch, and the property is extraordinarily clean, with friendly staff. This is a great hotel for a short stay in Cambria.

I could wish for a cleared landscaped area in the back of the property to walk around and down to the creek. Also, a small spa could be installed back there easily. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

Creekside Inn offers a convenient location that’s easy to access and walkable distance to all the great restaurants and shops, making it a solid choice for travelers. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep—a major highlight of the stay. The hot water was reliable, but the water pressure could definitely use an upgrade, and addressing some limescale buildup would enhance the experience. Parking was straightforward and hassle-free, a nice perk. WiFi was reliable and fast, which is always appreciated when staying away from home. One standout feature was that the room was ready upon arrival, making check-in smooth and efficient. Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient spot with minor areas for improvement.

While Creekside Inn had its highlights, there were a few drawbacks during our visit. We couldn’t figure out how the heater worked, which was frustrating given the cold weather. Some clear directions or a user guide for the heater would have been helpful. On the bright side, there were plenty of comfy blankets available, which made it easier to stay warm and cozy despite the chilly conditions. With a little more attention to detail, the experience could have been much smoother!

Totally renovated older motel. Very clean, comfortable beds, quiet and safe area

Quiet part of town. No traffic noise. Everything in the room is new or renewed. Very roomy, clean room. Bright, plenty of lighting. TV doesn't have an on/off light that is visible at night.

Window blinds- which I usually prefer over heavy curtains- are very inefficient in blocking the outdoor lights. The outdoor lights in the parking are super bright, which causes the room to be too illuminated for sleep. Additionally, when a car arrives very late into the night, the headlights are right in your room as well as the running motor. The high volume of the wall-mounted TV next door. I do not like to have to call anyone, therefore I suffer.

The room was clean and bright, updated furnishings. The balcony was great and we saw multiple deer right outside our window on both evenings of our stay! Good location that’s a bit quieter than right in the hub of Main St., but still extremely close to everything. No issues with parking.

It was very easy to hear sounds and guests from neighboring rooms. No hair conditioner included in room amenities. The towels could use an upgrade.

everything. Samantha was amazing - friendly and always on hand for anything you needed. She tended the outside gardens meticulously and took great care of the appearance of Creekside Inn. The room was large, bright and just beautifully renovated. Enjoyed our short stay immensely. Exceptionally clean and comfortable and loved the creek running at the back of the property. It felt like you were in a very serene location instead of in a small town. Walking into town to the shops and restaurants was just a short distance and a nice way to start the day.

very friendly staff, waited for us since we were running late. super clean rooms and bathrooms, coffee machine in the room. fantastic view from the balcony on the backside of the room, overlooking the creek (spotted some deer in the morning from the balcony. comfortable, big beds. very positive experience, would surely go there again. took 4 minutes to walk to the town to have dinner and get coffee. 5 minutes by car to the beach. nothing that i can think of, all in all a great place to stay.

The bed was super comfy and it was very quiet at night. Loved hearing the cows mooing in the morning. Excellent location. In walking distance to the main area. Free parking.

The walls are thin and you could definitely hear some talking/TV etc. in the room next to us. Would be nice to have an extra blanket in the room since it got a bit cold during the night.
