Room was good sized and well laid out, bed was very comfortable. Bathroom did what bathrooms are supposed to do, shower lacked maneuverability, no lack of hot water or water pressure.

Overpriced, but what isn't these days. Hotel seems to have some physical plant issues, the elevator broke the first day we were there, fixed the next day. We received a message on the second day about the water being shut off, we were out at the time and water was back on when we returned. We were well aware of the movements of the family above us on our first night, but they left the next day. We never did figure out the channel system on the tv.

Special touch in the bathroom were single-use packets of make-up remover, something you don't think to bring with you. Another innovative addition was the rolling meal trays so that you could sit on the couch or bed and eat food comfortably in the room. Jetted tub was great, water was good and hot. Best surprise was that the climate control thermostat was OFF when we got there, not set to freezing cold A/C as is so common going into your hotel room for the first time! And the windows opened for real daylight and outside air--awesome!! The weather was perfect during our stay so really enjoyed that. The breakfast was superb, so many delicious options! And everything about the hotel was clean!!! Staff also took care of noisy neighbor without us even needing to ask them. Haven't used an iron and ironing board in years and years but was glad there was one in our room for a very stubborn shirt before going out. And the beautiful ocean painting above the bed was very appropriate.

A light dimmer in the bathroom would have been nice. Turning on the light there kinda scares you, it's so bright; you need to squint your eyes for a moment. And a little bubble bath might have been nice; didn't think to bring any even though we saw that the room included a jetted tub.

I love this place fresh cookies at check in the barista machine is always available and working. Customer service is excellent and hotel is very clean. So much more amenities to choose from. The breakfast is excellent so much more to choose from and large room and a lot of seating I will keep coming back to this best Western for sure . Keep up the great work !!! And there was a microwave in our suite which was a great use to warm up.our left overs .

I don't think I had any problems that I need to share This place is way better then the Monterey inn Best Western. I won't stay at the BW Monterey inn They need to upgrade

Huge clean/modern room with all the amenities. Our King room even had a fireplace we weren't expecting. The breakfast was great with tons of options. Price was great too. Definitely the best hotel we've stayed at in Santa Cruz area in a long time. Will definitely stay here again.

Location was a little more of a drive for boardwalk and stuff on Santa Cruz side but not too bad. Very minor inconvenience for all the other perks.

I loved the friendly staff and locals. The cleanliness, the spa tub, jacuzzi, pool, and workout room. Room 106 is the best, it's close to everything: parking, ice, elevator, lobby etc. The breakfast was awesome with so many choices if goodies to eat. It wasn't loud and only 14 minutes to the nearest beach. I'm definitely returning. Please don't change

I didn't like no lights in the back of the hotel rooms. It's pitch black at night. If your window is open ppl can see in but you can't see out. Best to keep them closed at night, very creepy.

It was a great location and very nice property! The pool and hot tub were very nice as was the breakfast. The room was nice, comfortable bed and pillows. The fresh baked cookies at check in were amazing!

It was noisy...we could hear the ice machine down the hall, the people upstairs just walking across the floor and someone outside our window on the phone very early in the morning. A lot of times rooms are a bit more sound proofed. The bacon at breakfast was soggy, it was actually sitting in a pool of water in the warmer.

We stayed in a 2 bedroomed suite at the rear of the hotel and whilst we suffered some neighbor noise from the room upstairs in the early evenings it was generally quiet. The breakfast was good, choice of fruit, porridge, waffles ,bacon etc. Tea and coffee were on tap in the lobby area & freshly made cookies were available in the afternoon. The pool was warm but generally busy with children as we visited during spring break. Capitola beach does get very busy with parking & traffic so the Inn, whilst not beach front ,is convenient as it is a 15 minute walk to the beach area.

The room on the 2nd floor was nice. It was very quiet. Checkout was smooth. Bathroom was adequate, although not very attractive and a slow bathtub drain. The outside appearance of the hotel was nice. We were not ashamed to have somebody pick us up.

The elephants on the third floor on New Year's Eve. We had to wait 20mn at check-in for someone to show up. No croissants for breakfast. Slow bathtub drain. No window in bathroom.

Only thing I didn’t like was the inability to back out the room. Although the blinds were looked great they did allow light from the pool area to shine in all night. Also needs cleaning behind couch

I booked this hotel for convenience since I booked a fishing boat for fishing. Breakfast is great, lots of choices. The room is comfy and clean. and the location for me is so great, just about a 15-minute drive from the hotel. There is a shopping mall just a couple of minutes away too. If you go to the beach, probably 5 -8 minutes drive. We will book it again if we go fishing here again.

Something is wrong with the faucets, they are hard to open up. Not sure if it is intended to save water or something.
