This Inn is very quaint while having all the modern amenities. Centrally located to downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea so walking to restaurants and shops is easy and close by. Breakfast is included and after filling out your order form the day before, is delivered to your room at the time you designate! Every bit of our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The bed, pillows and linens were exceptional. I even asked if the bed pillows were for sale I liked them so much! (They are not)Haha. Staff is very personable as well as helpful giving us recommendations for dinner and dining. Our room decor was very relaxing in muted tones which made it attractive.

Can’t think of a thing

The Carriage house was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served in your room every morning which was delightful. Snacks and water are replenished every day and are included in the price. There is a complimentary wine tasting every evening 5-6pm served alongside some snacks. Ample secure parking is included in the cost. All the staff we encountered on our 5 night stay were lovely and very helpful. The location is perfect just a stones throw away from the restaurants and shops. We ate at the mission ranch and the mission bistro both nice places our favourite was the pacific edge restaurant fab food and service with a sunset view to die for. We also ate at the Greek place Dametra, the food resembled that of a Saturday night kebab in the UK if that is your thing then expect to pay $100 for two chicken kebabs!!! Disappointing from our perspective. We enjoyed the 17 mile drive, whale watching in Monterey, 6 mile hike around lobos point and a little retail therapy and fairytale cottage spotting in Carmel by the Sea.

Coffee in room was bitter but you can go down to the lobby and get an expresso

Location, big room, snacks and breakfast, friendly staff, loved big tub

Bed was not comfortable due to Mabe topper being too soft and made one person’s side dip down a lot lower than other person. Husband woke up with a tweaked neck and back. It was hot at night with no way to cool room and we had window open still was hot, I would recommend a floor fan with remote as an option. The bathroom tub a Dimmer would have been nice the lights were pretty bright. Tv was pretty out of date and not easiest to control a smart tv would be a nice switch.

Staff is absolutely wonderful!!! Room feels more like your own bedroom than a hotel. Jim, Michelle and Victor are awesome; they made a point to make sure all our needs were met and that we were happy with everything. Victor went above and beyond when I called about a microwave to reheat a coffee I had picked up in town. Victor actually came to our room, ran my coffee to their sister hotel next door, heated up my coffee and ran it back to me. This was not necessary but Victor insisted he wanted me happy and to enjoy my coffee. Breakfast in the morning was delivered to our room, it was wonderful and beautifully presented - such a treat. Location was great. Close enough for any easy walk, but not in the midst of tourist traffic We will be back!

A softer bed since I am a side sleeper. The foam topper did not do much for the pressure point on my hip.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. It was very cozy as well. They provide additional amenities at no extra cost. The sparkling water, the chocolates, and complimentary breakfast. And there is parking on site. We could walk to the stores, shops and restaurants.

We only stayed for one night. There's nothing that we did not like about it. We come to Carmel once or twice a year but have never stayed near the downtown square. This was nice as it was only a few blocks away.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet part of the village, yet close to everything. The room was very quiet, clean, comfortable, spacious, attractive and even though it was on the first floor, we had a nice view to the west. The breakfast was delicious and served with care right to our room and always on time. Perhaps most of all, the staff went out of their way to make us feel most welcome. We would definitely recommend this beautiful little hotel.

It was a nice surprise that the breakfast was included and a lovely touch being hand delivered to the room!! Location was perfect and the happy hour ‘meet & greet’ a fabulous idea to meet fellow travellers. Only negative is there needs to be something other than wine …for those that don’t drink it …perhaps a few bottled beers and some basic spirits?

As above …but have still given 9 out of 10!!

The breakfast was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the brewed coffee with real cream and the quiche. So lovely to have it brought to your room on a well-appointed tray to enjoy in a leisurely fashion. The room was cozy, spotless and had so many thoughtful amenities. It was within walking distance of all of our town center venues for a family and friends weekend.

We did not find the overstuffed mattress topper comfortable. Next time we will know to have it removed. Also, not fond of the overhead shower nozzle.

Breakfast brought to the room everyday was a treasure! The hors d'oeuvres hour was such a treat. Wonderful and helpful staff. Jacuzzi tub was like a personal hot tub in the room.

Parking lot is small but that’s only because of limited space. Still wonderful to have given the limited space in town.

Breakfast was great, very good quiche. Everything was good. The drinks and snacks came with the room and I appreciated the bubbly water. Would like to have seen different menu for breakfast on the second day, but, all-in-all, the food was delicious. The Inn is also very close to the Sunset Cultural Center where we could walk to our concert and just a block away from all the shops.

The access to the shower is a hop over as the tub is tall. There was a hand rail to hold on to, but I didn't think the access was senior friendly or for anyone that might have a difficult time stepping over. Plus when you opened the door to get out, the hand rail was on the inside and the door covered, so a hand rail on the outside would have created more safety.
