Location. Very convenient for a layover. The stay was great. It is a bit of a luxury for a layover stay, but traveling with family, it does take a lot of the stress and tiredness away from the long traveling. Had the A La Carte breakfast, although a bit on the pricey side, but considering the hotel star rating it is reasonably priced. The food though, tasted very good. The fried rice was one of the best fried rice this side of the ocean that we have tasted. Authentic! The room was clean, large bathroom, quite room, and all in all, a great stay. The check in process was quick, and the staff was friendly. The 24-hour market was handy, as they have a good selection for those late night snacking.

Nothing. For a layover stay, couldn't have asked for better. Being at the airport allowed for a later wakeup time, which was crucial for de-stressing.

between my Wife and my son, we stayed at the GH SFO 4 times during June and July as we were traveling from Australia to set up our son in College (San Jose) plus some vacation time. the hotel worked us perfectly for us with connecting to different flights and a central location to deal with jet lag etc. Location - perfect, room was excellent, facilities were great, food option were good too. I even double booked for one of the nights by mistake and they refunded at late notice which was very much appreciated

no complaints

The Grand Hyatt is adjacent to the SFO airport and in using the AirTrain back and forth one could find this quite convenient. The staff made sure that I knew what terminals were under construction and how it might affect our morning checkout experience, where walking was required temporarily...without being asked. We found this super helpful.

The restaurant was small and noisy (lively?). The menu was very asian specific, and there is no walkable option. If you plan to dine, check out the menu before using hotel dining.

I appreciated that the hotel gave clear instructions on how to find it in the terminal. Most hotels totally ignore this common-sense courtesy, or don't even tell you they have a free shuttle. The room was well--appointed and didn't waste bathroom space on a useless bathtub. The bed was comfortable and the linen soft. Decent choices for upscale or casual dining, and a good wine selection.

If you are going to provide an alarm clock, make sure the room attendant turns it off after every guest.

I liked the fitness center and the location.

One of the cans of water that was complimentary in my room was sticky/dirty. Like someone else had their hands all over it. The pop top was broken....(another testament to someone messing with the can with dirty hands. It wouldn't have mattered so much, but, if you're paying over $400 to sleep in a room, I expect the room to be SPOTLESS. Which, obviously, it wasn't.

When you're traveling internationally, and you're tired, and then you have a problem. Someone comes to your rescue and helps you get your two service dogs and your baggage from the airport to the hotel; you want to just hug them and thank them and tip generously. All the staff is excellent, but I must shout out to the security team. I wish I had remembered all their names, but I had written down Gwen and Alice. The security team didn't have to help me, but they did, and that's what hospitality is about. I mean, they could've said no, that's not their job, but instead, they worked from the heart and helped me get from the international terminal to the trains and from the train to the hotel. The funny thing was Alaska then canceled my trip and my connection, so I had to reschedule and try again. So we made the trip three times, and they never complained. They never got upset. They never didn't show up, and it was delightful. But the front desk staff was also super friendly and helpful, and the two women at the bar where I had dinner were charming, and I enjoyed our conversations. I wish the restaurant were open more because I would've liked to have tried the menu, but the timing wasn't right. It was too limited. My one caveat is that it is costly. I live in a five-star hotel. I travel all around the world, and it is pricey; I understand that they want to take advantage of the location, but I think they would be fully booked if they didn't charge such high rates.

I loved the place and hope to stay again soon.

This hotel was perfect for staying after arriving on a late flight. Appreciated we could go straight from the terminal to the hotel without the extra step of a taxi or Uber. The beds were very comfortable. I forgot a favorite jacket when we checked out, and calling to retrieve it I encountered one employee who was not helpful at all and another who was very helpful.

The unhelpful employeee when I had forgotten my jacket.

Everything about the hotel was great. 10 stars is not enough. Very clean large rooms with Everything you would need. Even though it is located next to a freeway and the airport it was super quiet. The restaurants on site were good with excellent service. Check in and check out were fast and easy.

Really for my needs everything was great, nothing needs improvement.

Food was great tasting… but. Room was swanky. Bathroom was really well done. Clean room.

I get that it’s San Francisco and you’re paying for the convenience of the stay but the prices were ridiculous. $10 for 12oz beer at the bar. Breakfast was astronomical. Oh.. and the mattress was way too soft. I have a terrible back and that was like sleeping on down pillows.

Nice hotel. Staff were super friendly and kind bringing our bags to the room for us, which with 3 large bags and a ski bag was no joke! They even offered to store the bag downstairs for an easier exit (we had to move items around, so unfortunately didn’t but good to note). They had all dressed up a little for Halloween which was really nice and fun to see! Even the gentleman at the check in who was in a suit and tie, had a little Harry Potter scar drawn on. Made us smile and was very fun. The room was nice and spacious. Large TV, couldn’t work the “pairing to device” on it which was unfortunate. Bed was large and very comfortable.

One thing that holds it back. The food! We never normally get hotel food as like to try ‘local’ restaurants but we were very tired and it being halloween during our stay we didn’t feel that eating out would be that relaxing. So ordered room service. We ordered a Peperoni pizza and buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. For a total of $41.33. The pizza was a smaller size than we expected and a bit doughy but nothing was off about it. The Mac and cheese was pretty gross, topped with carrots? And no taste at all, even with the buffalo. Very let down for such an establishment, that was going so well.
