the property is very well maintained, nice grill right next to the pool, spa, mini golf, the rooms are big.

the property says they’re dog friendly but only the rooms are dog friendly. the manager even told us “when taking your dog out make sure they don’t step on the grass”. another couple we met on the pool complained about the same thing. the ACs are a little old.

I've stayed here once before, in September of last year and since then the place has made some really nice improvements. The rooms are spacious and clean and the upgrades to some of the older parts of the buildings make a huge impact.

The checking in under the pool gazebo is a little weird, especially with people lounging around the pool right there. Last time I stayed here it was a total self-check-in scenario, which I like better. I understand the employees all have uniforms now and being walked to my room to hear about the history of the place is cute... but unnecessary.

Adults only was a major plus. The accommodations of the fully equipped bungalows were great. It was close enough to downtown that it was easy to get to by just a few minutes drive. The pool area is fantastic for lounging. The beds are very comfortable. We love the layout and vibe of the hotel. We will definitely be back.

The pans that were supplied in the kitchen still had burnt food on them when we checked in. The plates that are also supplied in the kitchen still had food and grease on them. There was a dirty, used sponge that was left behind in the kitchen to wash dishes. While the beds are brand new and very comfortable memory foam, the pillows were very flat and made it difficult to have a solid night of sleep - I kept waking up with neck pain. I would recommend bringing your own pillows.

Alex, the guy who took me to the room and helped me with a few issues was absolutely amazing! I enjoyed the beauty and comfort .. and the historical information Alex shared with me! It was an amazing stay! Would highly recommend it!

The only thing that I was a bit uncomfortable with was finding the place. I had the address in my GPS, it took me to the back of the facility... No front desk to see if I wanted to stay .. started to leave, saw the street name, went down and thought I would be able to go in a see the space but it was not open to the public! I found a couple of guest coming out the door, was able to look in and asked them about the place and they recommended it .. I then went back and booked it .. since I was unable to walk in, had they not walked out, I might have left because I didn't wanna stay in a space that I couldn't see if it were nice before booking! BUT IT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!!

Literally almost everything. The staff are great, each unit has its own Wi-Fi so you don’t have 700 people vying for the same network, and the grounds and pool are very well kept

In my room unlike others there wasn’t a small stove or full stove (I get it there wasn’t really room) but the little kitchen area was really really small and they only had one tiny pan and one tiny pot. Not the end of the world, i made it work but having stayed in some of their larger rooms id recommend paying the extra for it if you like to cook when traveling. That said, they do have a community grill top by the pool

Everything was done right. Good security system. Best bed I ever slept in, including on cruises and hotels. I have to find out the mattress brand. Fully appointed kitchen. Wifi and cable. Sparkling clean pool with plenty of chaise lounges. Shampoo and body wash supplied. Even the toilet paper is top quality.

No fault of the motel but I need dead quiet to sleep. The rooms have ductless air conditioning units. Even when I turned mine off, I could still hear the outside fans from the other bungalows. Got about 3 hours of sleep.

The bungalows have a nice backyard. They also allow dogs for an extra fee. It was hard to find any hotel/vacation rental that would allow large size dogs. My dog had a wonderful time in the backyard and the living area. The location is awesome- just 4 min from the downtown.

Noise of the appliances, specially water heater. The property is very old and you can tell that by looking at the appliances and noises they make.

A charming and quiet experience! I had a wonderful room with a pool view and private patio - the space itself was over 1000 ft.² complete with kitchenette. Alex the manager is friendly and keeps the grounds meticulously. Elizabeth Taylor once owned this property and stars like Marilyn Monroe and Walt Disney once stayed here. Its a tranquil piece of Palm Springs history. If you sre looking for ultra-luxury or an economy motel - don’t come here. Rather, come to A Place in the Sun for a quintessential Palm Springs experience.

Wasn’t allowed to bring colleagues during the day for business meeting.

We loved the laid back - relaxed vibe of this property. It's very quiet and we very much enjoy that rather than large resorts so this was perfect for us. Having a kitchen is always a plus for us and having a little backyard to ourselves to eat our meals was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and were always present. The pool and jacuzzi were very clean and inviting. Everything in the bungalow was functioning well. The whole experience was comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely come back :)

I've stayed here several times now and have always enjoyed myself. The bungalows are charming and comfortable and the pool is always relaxing.

The description for the rooms with multiple beds is a little deceiving. The other beds are the futon couches in the living room. They were comfortable enough, but the room didn't have any bedding for them and we had to ask someone to bring it over. Also, I could do without the ambient music being played above the pool.
