Very nice place - big room with all the amenities, everything nice and clean. Breakfast is a bit limited in terms of options - eggs, potatoes, bacon, bread for toast, cereal, juice and coffee, but if you are not after gourmet variety, it is enough and the breakfast area has a very nice ambiance. They also have a bar adjacent to the property, which is open in the mornings and you can get something there. Bar actually looked interesting, but unfortunately we got delayed on top of San Jacinto in tram line and missed our chance to visit. The pool is decent size, and it is open 24 hours.

Nothing really, but pool and hot tub being open 24 hours can be a problem for some people with very light sleep. All the rooms doors and windows face the inside area with the pool, the sound travels far in the night. If someone's having fun after-party in the pool, it might be an issue. During our stay, there were some people in the hit tub around midnight, we just used earplugs. It is not really a downside, it is just something to be aware of.

Hotel size. Helpfull staff. Pool area. Well presented. Clean. Great location for access to the nearby hills and exploring the uptown area.

Air conditioning was noisy and not very effective (room 11). Hotel manager knew about this and is trying to get resolved with equipment supplier.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the courtyard/pool deck were beautifully landscaped. Cool midcentury modern vibes, with a good little restaurant attached. Was a close walk into the downtown core of Palm Springs, with amazing historical neighborhoods right near by that were cool to explore. Overall, great for families, friends or couples visiting Palm Springs.

The signage at the hotel entrance could be expanded on, especially for when arriving after dark. Could also use some more hooks for towels in the rooms. Everything was great though!

We have previously stayed at the Skylark a few other times and enjoy how accessible this hotel is to the parking lot. The pool and hot tub were great as usual and the rooms are large and comfortable.

We miss the free breakfast! There is a restaurant on the property now but we didn't eat there due to high prices. We went to Rick's instead. We were using the pool and the gardeners kept coming through and using their loud leaf blower around the lounge chairs and throughout the whole pool area. They interrupted our pool time and it was not very relaxing! It would be great if they picked a different time when people aren't using the pool. We found the staff was not as friendly and warm as they have been in the past. I think the prices are a bit high now especially for no longer providing breakfast.

First impression of the property is that it’s very well maintained, with a cute Mid-Century vibe. Upon arrival, the staff were super friendly, check in was simple and the room was nice. Our standard king room was pretty basic, but had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. An extra blanket would have been nice, but we were fine without it. The outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped and well manicured, the pool and lounge furniture were clean and comfortable. There were plenty of towels, ice, and filtered water easily accessible. The fire pit area was an added bonus. The onsite restaurant has a small menu, but everything was delicious and the bartender Kaila was so friendly and helpful! They have 4 bikes available to borrow to ride around town. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here for New Year’s Eve!

The only downside of our stay was the hotel is a family friendly hotel, and we usually like to stay at 21+ resorts when traveling without our own children. This was no fault of the hotel, just an oversight on my part when booking.

Pool looked nice but didn’t use it. A bit too chilly for me. Room nice but needs some upgrades. Robe was a nice touch. Bathroom vanity very old and needed at least a coat of paint. Room was on ground floor which I requested not to have to bring several bags up the stairs. Unfortunately, I could hear the voices of the people upstairs until late at night and early in the morning, as well as their loud footsteps. Very annoying to say the least.

Need to modernize and provide USB ports to charge our devices. I found having to use a real key to open a heavy gate/entrance door to the hotel very cumbersome, when carrying bags. AND I didn’t like the loud noises from upsstairs.

We were grateful for the warm welcome and direction upon arrival. We had booked two rooms and in discussion with the lobby staff were assigned adjacent ones in a very quiet section of the complex that also had amazing views. The rooms are spacious, charming, and laid out well, with plenty of flat surfaces and seating. There’s dedicated seating/table outside the room, as well. The parking lot is easily accessible. We didn’t have the chance to try the pool—next time, definitely. The rate we paid was incredibly affordable/reasonable.

The room could use more electrical outlets. If you have mobility issues, the upstairs rooms are accessible only by stairs, which was made very clear to us by the lobby staff. It worked fine for us but may be challenging for some guests.

This hotel is awesome! We stayed here in November 2023 before the restaurant/bar was fully open and knew we wanted to stay here again this year for Palm Springs Pride. The hotel is modern, the rooms were spacious, the pool and hot tub are well maintained (and I think the pool is heated), and the drinks and food were delicious. Special shoutout to Rhino (and the rest of the staff at the cafe/bar) who took care of our group all weekend! It's in a great location and not too far from downtown Palm Springs (about a 20-25min walk). It's on the main pride parade route so it was cool being able to see it up close! Definitely check it out next time you're in Palm Springs!

Nothing, everything was great!

Once inside, the aesthetic was so cute! Since a smaller hotel, everything was close together, pool and breakfast area, and you didn’t hear people outside which is nice. STAFF 10/10, so nice! We also felt extremely safe with security at night. Pool was also heated and cabanas were cute! Oh and the view of the mountain was nice!

Lack of variety with breakfast. Also kind of weird to have to go around the back to check in, but I understood because of the renovations. Just a little weird at first because all you see is “coming soon” by the actual entrance door (even though it’s for the restaurant) but you might think the whole hotel is “coming soon”.

It is Cute, Quaint, Retro style hotel with nice amenities. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The price was very reasonable.

Our only complaint was that the small sized shower had the spray positioned so it shot the water directly at the wall above our heads. Unless you are really tall you are unable to rinse. We had to take a cup into the shower and use it to fill and pour water on ourselves. The shower sprayer was not movable so a cup was the only way to rinse.
