The staff was incredibly helpful, the spaces were beautifully maintained. The location of the hotel is great, with easy access to freeway, and it's fairly close to public transit. It's also near many attraction: short distance to downtown, Balboa Park (zoo and museums), shopping centers.

My only complaints are about the bathroom in my hotel room. The shower temperature didn't even get remotely warm. And the water pressure was basically non-existent. It was a trickle of water. Elderly men with enlarged prostates have stronger streams than the shower in my bathroom.

Staff was so kind and helpful - no water bottles were in our room on the second night and only one on the first. I am a silver Hilton Honors member and the staff let me grab water bottles. The restaurant staff also kindly filled up our water bottles each morning with ice.

The room was a bit run down (carpet looked dirty and had snags, entry door hard to open) but comfortable and served our purpose. The TV didn't work but we didn't report it and used our computer instead. The parking was plentiful but those are tight curves for an SUV!

I loved everything about our room. It was clean. The sheets felt clean. The lobby was clean. Staff was friendly

The parking fee is $33. If you think you are not getting charged a fee, they will charge you at checkout. They wait until you are done and about to walk away to tell you. It should be included in the stay. The parking structure is tight, as you can tell by the damaged railings when you enter and exit. And it's sketchy at night. For $33, there could at least be an elevator. You have sketchy stairs. There are no cameras, so if something happens, you are on your own.

Outside facilities: pool, hot tub, fire pit, lighted out door picnic table area. Loved the decor of the room, stayed vintage which matched the outdoor of the hotel. I liked that most of the hotels around Hotel Circle seemed to have made a point to maintain their original look rather than remodel to the sterile contemporary decor of newer hotels

We had to wait a fair amount of time to buy water from the snack store and I was charged $3 for a cup of coffee. Maybe its a new world but I think a lot of hotels provide coffee in the morning for free.

Jesus, the supervisor, was amazing! We are a party of 6 adults and the room that I booked for the night, was hard to accommodate based on the pullout couch not being comfortable for two people to lay on. We also had the shower leak and the toilet clogged. When I talked to Jesus, he was awesome and was able to upgrade us to a better room, which was a suite on the house. His professionalism and customer service was off the charts and I will definitely be staying there again.

The toilet clogged, shower was leaking and the pull out couch was uncomfortable.

The hotel had everything we needed for our short stay. It was clean, conveniently located, beds we’re comfortable, pool area was nice, and it had all the amenities we needed. Customer service was excellent. Sophia was so friendly and helpful when she checked us in, and the warm cookies were a nice touch. The service at the Seaglass restaurant was excellent and so was the food. Wish I could remember the name of our server/bartender because he was great! Every interaction with staff during our visit was pleasant.

The room could use a little updating but was overall clean and comfortable. The mattress on the pull out sofa bed, which our daughter slept on, was worn to where you could see and feel the springs and probably should be replaced. At minimum should have some sort of a mattress topper on it. Carpeting was a little old, and although the room was cleaned well, there was one area that had a bad smell like something biological, maybe from a pet or baby accident or something. It was only in one spot so we just avoided it. Probably needs to be professionally cleaned with an enzymatic cleaner.

The location cannot be beat! Close to the 5 and 8 Freeways, which will take you anywhere in San Diego. Very close to Old Town.

The entrance driveway is VERY NARROW and difficult to navigate. The parking garage is EVEN WORSE ! The ramps between levels are EXTREMELY NARROW, and you can see where patrons have hit the railings on either side. I own a Ford F150 truck and I decided to park it behind the multilevel garage. *** Separate topic: the maid service was substandard. I had no coffee cups, no coffee, no water glasses. I had to go to Winchell's donuts for coffee in the morning.

Front staff was always very helpful and courteous. The room was nice. Enjoyed the bar/restaurant a couple of times; waitress was very courteous and the food and wine were good.

Charging $33.00 per night for parking. Somewhat minor, the elevator in the parking garage was slow and ancient; at first, it didn't appear to be working, but we got used to it.

The hotel is ideally located, close (5 minutes) to San Diego downtown. The hotel's design is fresh, rooms are clean and very confortable. The server at the breakfast room was lovely.

The booking confirmation stated that we benefited from a "Breakfast for US$0,10 per person and per night". When we arrived at the breakfast, the reception confirmed that we did not benefit from this breakfast offer. I insisted by showing my email confirmation. The receptionist was kind enough and offered a commercial gesture by granting us with buffet breakfast vouchers. The dilapidated parking is expensive (27 USD) and would need to be refreshed. Most of all, the elevator did not function properly and we preferred to take the stairs in and out of the parking.

2 days before we arrived, I decided to read the reviews and immediately felt as if I made a mistake in booking and wish I could cancel my reservation, but it was too late. However; our experience was amazing! It was a very clean room that smelled so good. The staff was nice and helped me with checking in early. The beds were comfortable. And having the sofa couch was very convenient for our family of 5. My 5 year old son felt like a king sleeping in on it all to himself 😊

I would say the one thing that was kinda ok was the parking garage. We have a Honda Pilot, and I think I'm a pretty good driver, but those straight turns are no joke. You may have to reverse a few times to make the turn, but other than that, you're good.
