I had asked for a room on the second or 1st floor because I have arthritis in my knees and was accommodated to a nice room and everything worked as it should. HVAC was nice and warm. Microwaves in every room. For those of you who don't know, most of the hotels are doing away with them for safety risks and the rising cost of electricity in SD. HoJo's has become my favorite stay in Mission Valley and is always a pleasure to stay in. Easy access for food and the mission valley library is a short drive. Plenty of shopping choices and free parking.

No ice machine but I think they're working on getting a new one along with the renovation..

Nothing I loved the overall experience was lovely. I would recommend this to anyone. Very nice comfortable and centrally located to do and see many exciting places.

The location and the updated rooms

The floor was dirty , there is no carpet thank goodness but looked like the floor wasn't mopped , I wore slippers so it was not that bad.

Prebooked for days in advanced. By the Owner Latisha N Dismond 087 1978 the Supermomof5 DOD. But the prices went up way to much for this location rooms are reg $75-80 per night nothing ever over $100 even on the weekend's. The rate went up to $279 per night so we left for the remainder of days needed for this early Vacation.

Prices went up to high for this hotel. The Norm is $75-88 per night.

Great location and close to food and retail shopping of all kinds. The rooms are spacious, colorful, and bright. Good lighting and the beds and pillows are the best I've slept on. Slept like a rock every night. Tv's perfect size for any viewing and plenty of parking all around the building.

No ice machine and they could use a few more trash cans on each balcony.

The bed was comfortable, the room had nice temperature control, and the place was quiet overall. Convenient to the city and friendly staff. All of my amenities were freshly stocked throughout the stay.

The room could have used a little more light cleaning before I checked in, but was overall pretty clean.

The rooms are large, bright, and colorful. TV was 40"screen and ac/heat worked great. The location is central Mission Valley and has access to every option for entertainment. Sea World, Shopping, SDState, Airport and downtown all a quick drive from the hotel from the "8"

The staff were friendly upon check-in. The room that I checked into was very nice and clean. I love the fact that you can smell the cleaning products, so you can smell that they sanitizing clean. it is very close to shopping and food.

It’s nothing that I didn’t really like about the property. I was just disappointed that I missed breakfast hours due to me having to go to work so early..

Fair price for a last-minute booking. Clean room, with modern decor. Overall not bad for the price.

Our room door was directly opposite the flight of stairs, making it noisy every time someone walked up or down them. Our room also connected to another room, making it quite noisy whenever our neighbour did anything or came in/out. Desk staff could have been friendlier.

Facility was a nice, humble atmosphere and plenty of parking. The Front Desk Person was kind and friendly! Room was clean, and the place was in a great location to the beach...easy travels. :)

We weren't too fond of the pillows...they were hard and oddly shaped (sqaure).
