The third time staying and excellent value and place to stay. Close to shopping mall, close to my kids activities that they enjoy to do it while in San Diego.

The staff at counter should learn more about how to be friendly. Stayed for new years with family. The girl at counter was unfriendly, but I’m not surprised she has been like that for the last 3 times we stayed there. However, maids are more friendly than people at office. Maybe they should be the one at counters.

Room was clean and with some renovations. Had all the basic amenities needed, microwave, mini refrigerator, iron and board. Only thing missing was a hair dryer. TV was outdated but worked. AC worked. Bed could be a bit more comfortable but was fine. Shower had amazing water pressure and never was out of hot water. Area was safe and near a lot of places. For the price it was a great stay.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Upon checkout, my car would not start because of a bad battery. The maintenance guy helped out. He called a buddy and got me a Jumpstart. This was well above and beyond any expectation I could have had.

It was an older building with fresh paint and decor. It still had the smell and feel of a motel. BUT....the price is great and compared to the surrounding hotels, Hotel Iris was a great value.

I like the location and the room was okay with the exception of those things I mentioned but just the location was great for where I was traveling to on business

the way you have the TV was set up and the furniture in the room I felt like I was in the 70s but other than that everything was okay just the furniture felt like I was in the 70s and then the light in the bedroom was too low the light wasn't bright enough

It was the only place I could find with a jacuzzi tub.

It sounded like the guys in the room next door were auditioning for the circus. I checked out early (5:30-6:00am) because I couldn’t sleep. The front desk was very apologetic and asked why I didn’t call and say something so they could correct it.

It was really close to the freeway and close the everything we needed and or wanted to do. Will come again to this hotel when we have a chance. Hotel staff is really nice upgraded room for free and let us check in early. 10 out of 10

The management and the staff were really nice and helpful! Being from the other side of the US and having no idea about the area they were very courteous in giving us information that was needed. Our dog can tell you the bed was very comfy, YES, They're pet friendly!

3 queen sized beds in the room. Room got real cold with A/C, I loved that. There was a fridge and microwave which was nice

Shower needed work. Pressure and shower head not great. Had to use the ice bucket and tub faucet to clean myself.

Very nice staff. Some rooms need a chair or 2. It's really quiet right in-between the larger mot we ls , safe parking, and not so many homeless hanging around security a plus

They need a vending machine or 2, drinks and snacks. Just come prepared.

We have 3 children far apart in age. Finding family sized rooms in San Diego is extremely difficult. We stayed in a room with 3 queen beds. They were surprisingly comfy. The shower was decent. The value was amazing.

There was a small.. bug issue. We visited during July so sure the summer had something to do with it. We came across a few spiders in the room. Nothing horrible, easily managed.
