The Inn is located in a nice area of San Francisco that seems safe. We liked the rooms, which have been renovated recently. They are spacious, the bathroom was nice and the beds were comfortable. You can also find a small fridge, a microwave and a small coffee maker. The staff was friendly, checkin and checkout were quick and easy.

The only thing we didn’t like 100% were the bed sheets. It was a sheet, a duvet and a sheet again instead of a duvet inside of a sheet. We also found some minor stains which wasn’t a big issue but it’s nicer if they’re entirely clean ;)

Free parking was available throughout our stay, including the last day after we checked out. Rooms are very nicely decorated. Location is superb!

Our room's (201) windows faced Lombard Street and our door was right by the stairs, this meant the room was quite noisy as the windows aren't very soundproof and people were constantly walking by the front door. Also, we had to wait for 20 minutes for our room to be cleaned when we arrived at 16.40, almost 2 hours after check in. HOWEVER, these were minor inconveniences as the rest was so good!

The location was perfect, short 20-30 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Just a 2 minute walk to a couple of places for dinner - Chico's Pizza, Kui Shin Bo Japanese, Torraku Ramen, couldn't fault any of the meals we had. One of the Hop On Hop Off bus stops is across the road from La Casa Inn. Really liked that the rooms had been recently refurbished/updated, photos on website are a true reflection of rooms. Housekeeping made up beds and changed bathroom linen daily. Reception staff were really helpful, we were able to get an early check in and late check out for no extra cost.

If trying to catch up on sleep during the day, take ear plugs: Housekeeping staff talking loudly/yelling to each other from the different levels of inn. Housekeeping trolleys are quite loud being rolled on the concrete of each level.

I loved the decoration of the room. We visited as 3 couples, so we had the slightly bigger room, which was lovely. Great location and easy access to all places, just a few blocks away. Lovely place to visit, but for underestimating the weather. We are from the UK and the temperature was 15 to 18 degrees, it's a very windy city. Just make sure you bring items of few warm clothing. We visited a lot of places, my favourite was the bike ride from Blazing Saddles hire to the Golden Gate Bridge, it's a must i used an electric bike which was amazing. We cycled there and back, you could have had the option to get the ferry crossing. Also, the Japanese Gardens.

The stairs were a little noisy at times, could have done with better storage and drawers, more hangers for your clothes. Once we checked out and left our bags until we were leaving for the airport, there were no facilities to use if you wanted the toilet.

La Casa Inn is a clean facility, with all you need for a short or longer stay. The two queen beds in our room were very comfortable and daily room service was to standard. La Casa Inn is in a fabulous location with proximity to a selection of eating and drinking places on Lombard Street or a little further up to Union St. There is an excellent coffee shop just a few doors up the street. There are two bike hire places to choose from if you want to ride over the Golden Gate Bridge. Also nearby is the Fort Mason area and the Marina. The eastern edge of the Presidio is only a 20 minute walk away. We walked into Fisherman's Wharf a few times but if that's beyond you, there are regular buses to get you to anywhere in the city. The crookedest street is on Lombard St directly up the hill from La Casa. After a long international flight we were so pleased to receive an early check-in, when we expected to just drop our luggage off and return later for check-in.

Nothing. It was everything we needed.

Recently refurbished, looks like the pictures, clean, GREAT location, lovely area, lovely staff. Good basic amenities. Easy to check in and out. Good transport links.

It’s very clean but not exceptionally clean, dirt and food on the walls missed and not the best linen cleaning service used. Very thin bedding used. No kettle or somewhere to make a hot drink. Shower not hot early mornings and ours leaked as hadn’t been fitted properly.

Room was nice. Recently refurbished so everything was pretty new. Had all the facilities youd want including a microwave and safety deposit box. Bed was really comfy. Bathroom was nice. WiFi was good. Location was spot on. The no.28 bus stop was very close to easily get to Fisherman’s Wharf or the Golden Gate.

Rooms aren’t very sound proof. You can hear the road, noise from guests outside (you walk out onto the guest walkway outside so nothing in between). Lift wasn’t great so used the steps each time. Anyone could walk around the property, no security door or gate for guests only. Shower wasn’t a power shower. You can’t really open the windows to let natural light in as they’d be no privacy with you being on the walkway.

Took a brief trip with my family to San Francisco for a few days to get away during the President's Day Weekend. La Casa Inn was great! Benny at the reception desk helped to get us booked in a little early as luck would have it. We stayed towards the back of the hotel. The room was nice and looked updated with nice amenities like a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, and foam hand soap/lotion which were in bottles locked to the counter. They also have free parking, which was amazing given it's in the city. It must be the time of the year because we never had problems finding a spot on property, although he warned it might not always be the case. Also, it was not too noisy except for the people above and mostly it was during the morning. We were able to walk to Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Japan town, China town, North Beach, and could have walked to the Palace of Fine Arts, but decided to drive since we had already put in almost 20k steps that day! It's basically a half hour walk to all of these locations, although be mindful of elevations as there are some hills to traverse on some paths. There are also numerous Waymo Robo taxis driving around the city and SF has good public transportation. You'll need the Waymo One app to book a robot taxi. Overall, we had a great stay, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean and convenient. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

It was a little noisy in the morning. Lombard street is pretty busy.

Very nice location and room. Reception staff were a bit odd. Especially on check out, when by pressing the door bell to access reception, it seemed like I had drawn the receptionist bleary eyed from his bed, even though it was 8:30am

Room servicing seemed a bit random. Was told by reception on arrival that we'd need to put the 'make up the room' sign on the outside of the door when we needed the room serviced. We initially checked in near to midnight and even though we hadn't put the make up the 'make up the room' sign on the door, the following day it was serviced anyway. But later in our stay, we put the make up the room sign on the door, but the room wasn't serviced. Our dirty towels had been taken but nothing else had been done and we had to go in search of fresh towels.
