We live in SF and we stayed at Motel Capri because we were doing a renovation project in our apartment. We had 4 separate reservation in two rooms and the staff never hesitated to combine them, made sure we can stay in the same rooms and even upgraded a room for no charge. It’s a mom and pop business and the cleaning staff was fast and great. The location of the motel is excellent since it’s a few blocks away from both Cow Hollow and the Marina district. If you are a tourist, these neighborhoods are clean, safe, filled with restaurants and vibrant. The location has great access to public transportation and major tourist attractions. The included parking made our stay hassle free too.

I think they shouldn’t offer breakfast at all. They have pre-packed pastry, toast, butter, jam and juice. The coffee machine was broken. While the rooms are very clean, the hotel is old and the elevator was broken.

Nice safe quiet location just off Lombard Street in Pacific Heights - just walkable to Wharf area. 2 double bedroom on 1st Floor was large and price of property, for San Francisco, reasonable. Parking ok, though depends on occupancy rate of hotel, whether easily available.

The room was for 4 people. One chair. This room could easily have had a small table and a couple of extra chairs, which would have made this room at least 1 star higher. The breakfast room was small, standing only and not much on offer. Toast, cereal, juice and coffee. Just better than nothing. We struggled to find reasonably priced food close by, the best option a Safeway about .6m away. Apparently, San Francisco city has banned all fast-food chains from the area, so no McDonalds or like anywhere.

Good location, decent breakfast, good amenities like the tv and microwave, fridge. Housekeeping was nice.

The front desk area had a weird smell, not sure if it was food related or something else but it was off putting. The elevator did not work, so it was annoying to carry luggage up the stairs. The bedroom itself is good but I really recommend getting the carpets cleaned or adding some type of air freshener! That will really help make the rooms feel and smell clean. Also, not sure what the housekeepers use to clean but I recommend that if they’re using bleach, to follow up with a cleaning spray that smells good. We were told our room had just been cleaned but it smelled musty so for a Clean freak like me, it didn’t seem clean at all.. I want to smell the cleanliness.

Location and free parking. Safe neighbourhood, able to walk as well as bikes and public transport close by. SF was great. Street not too noisy

Free breakfast was ummm, not what we would class as breakfast, skipped that. Also really noisy young adult neighbours on Saturday night. Some cam back at 1 40am and some later. Woke us up both times. This needs to be managed as is not fair on other guests. Really exhausted in the morning due to being woken up and feeling missed off at them as they did not try to be quiet at all. Also guests above seemed to continually move the furniture around? What was that?

The motel was very comfortable, my wife and I stayed 9 nights, and were very satisfied. The price was good, location was excellent, easy to visit all parts of San Francisco & the Bay Area by (rental) car, and plenty of parking spaces at the Capri. Having an included takeaway breakfast was very welcome, in the form of cereal, toast and jams, pastries and coffee and tea, and is unusual in U.S. motels. Also coffee making facilities in the room was useful. The hostess, Shital, was very helpful & accommodating, and overall we enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again.

Nothing to not like.

Location, Perfect area Breakfast, It was good, but it could be better. For example, they need to have some stools so that people can sit and eat appropriately. Room, It was perfect and clean, 101 was close to the office, and the administration was friendly to choose this room, considering I have handicap issues.

Honestly, they need a better internet connection in the room. I had to do some work and couldn't do it for one more day. That was my plan. Also, the soda machine didn't work, which was ridiculous and upset me. I went to buy a Coke at 2 a.m., and it didn't work.

The staff were very helpful and efficient, we stayed 5 nights and found the cleaning staff also helpful and obliging. The location was great - a very quiet part of San Fran, it felt very safe and relaxed. We used Clipper cards to get around on public transport which was a very convenient way to get to all areas of town. In the evenings we returned to the motel - Plenty of good eating places and restaurants within 10-15 mins walk for evening meals. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, but no sitting outside area. Fine if you are out and about all day. Breakfast was provided in the ground floor room - basic but ok for a good start to the day.

Nice to have a small breakfast available in the morning, it’s limited to packaged pastries, toast, cereal, and coffee but that was enough for us. Excellent location, very easy to walk to a bunch of restaurants, and also not far from the waterfront, parks, and a few buses going downtown. Despite the property being quite large and a large group of travelers arriving on the same night as us, there were never any noise issues.

The room was spacious and clean, however, the curtains were old and literally ripped. One lampshade was also slightly broken. Overall the room & property could use some upgrading.

Ideally located to walk to the likes of Fisherman’s Wharf (we even walked there and back to North Beach - 23,000+ steps that day!) - and only a 20 minute drive to the Golden Gate Bridge. Complementary parking most welcome! “Continental” breakfast ditto.

It would be great to be able to check in prior to 3.00 pm - but this is pretty much the “norm” nowadays, since the advent of Covid, so this is no singular criticism of the Capri!

Good location that felt safe and quiet. Well kept rooms with free, convenient parking. Ice machine and soda vending. Helpful staff. Basic breakfast included, however I didn’t avail myself of it. Had a really nice retro feel but without feeling old or tatty. Would happily stay again.

The room walls were quite thin, though nothing worse than you would usually find at a motel of this kind. No working elevator, though I had picked this up from other reviews and it didn’t bother me.
