Location is perfect: walking distance from supermarket, stores, diners, cafes, marina and fisherman's wharf. Parking was great, there was always plenty of room for my car (March 2025). Bus stops right outside the door which take you to the Golden Gate/Presidio park and anywhere in the city centre. The room itself was big and had everything I needed (fridge, tv, coffee maker, hair dryer). It was clean. The neighborhood is absolutely fine and quiet so I felt safe and didn't have to worry constantly about my car. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast would always be a plus. A microwave in the room would be great but Honestly everything was fine and I have no complaints. It is an older motel with kinda old furniture and fittings, don't expect a 5 star hotel with brand new everything. But it was absolutely perfect for me.

This motel is situated on Lombard Street, in a relatively quiet area of San Francisco. It is just a 10-minute walk to the famous hairpin bends from this motel. We arrived early in the morning around 8.30 AM & found the reception closed (we couldn't inform the arrival time before). However, they opened the doors at 9.00 AM. Though there was no designated luggage storage, the receptionist agreed to keep our luggage at the reception until we roam in the city. After the check-in in the afternoon, we received a room on the ground floor and it quite aligned with our expectations. The room was equipped with a mini-refrigerator. The bathroom was spacious & it was clean. Hot water was available throughout without an issue. Bathroom amenities were provided, along with towels. There was a designated parking space that could accommodate 10-15 vehicles at a time (we didn't use it though). Overall, it was a pleasant & comfortable stay.

The location is perfect. Within walking distance to Fishermans Wharf, and lots of restaurants on Chesnut street. Nice quiet place to stay and FREE parking. A big deal in San Francisco. Lot's of transportation options too. Buses go by every few minutes to all parts of the city. Older but well kept. Friendly staff. No breakfast but good places near by. Good place to save some money and spend it on some great food nearby.

No breakfast but most motel breakfasts arent much anyway. Better to have a real breakfast at a nice close by restaurant.

The front desk attendant was on break when we arrived, but left a note to call if anyone needed him. Mr, being in the hospitality industry myself. Didn't want to interrupt his break, so we went to get a drink. Wonderful neighborhood, with lots going on, but no rifle Raf that we saw. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Check out was a breeze WE WILL STAY THERE AGAIN, DEFINITELY!!!)

The guests next door were a little noisy, but not so basic that we felt the need to call the front desk.

The motel was fine; met every expectation. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Check-in was quick and easy. I stayed here for a procedure I was having early the next morning; it was close by and, quite honestly, made it easier to get to.

The parking area was very tight, so you better know how to maneuver your car. Other then that, no complaints.

With the price I would say it was a good stay. Cheaper than you could find in SF with free parking. Trust me you would want the free parking if you drive here. The room is fairly clean and could use some reno in the future like repainting but overall I will recommend it

More tv channel maybe English instead of just Spanish

This was a typical American motel, room was comfortable and clean but could do with a bit of a refresh and some TLC. The location was good for us although we did not appreciate how much uphill there is in San Francisco, so walking was not an option. We would recommend Alcatraz and the Big Bus Tour but avoid the Aquarium at Pier 39, the Science Academy in Golden gate Park has a much better Aquarium and lots else to see. Enjoyed the cable car but very crowded.

Lack of tea/coffee making facility

Safe place, where you can park your car right in front of your room. The price was good for the service, even though everything was not perfect.

When we arrived in our room, the bathroom was smelling a bit, but after having opened the window, it was ok.

The hotel is in a very good location and it’s pretty nice and comfortable.. we only stayed there for a night, which was the purpose, so it served us very well!! The cost-benefit is really good, the room has everything we need and it smelled really nice and clean when we walked in.. when in San Francisco for a night I’d totally consider staying there again!!

There was nothing I particularly didn’t like

location was excellent - walkable to many notable areas of San Francisco. Room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Staff was friendly and personable. Shower toiletries smelled delicious! Alarm clock made a pleasant beep instead of a terrifying screech.

Shuttle service to the airport wasn't available on the day we needed it - we didn't realize we should have booked in advance; would have been nice to be informed of that upon check-in (we were happy to hear the driver got to take some classes he'd wanted to take instead, though). Shower was a bit on the small side and water did pool at the the drain - a bathtub would have been ideal. In-unit temperature control would have been nice as the air conditioner would come on frequently and make the room a bit too cold at times.
