The room was great, it was promptly cleaned, had all the amenities I wanted. Loved that there were firm & feather pillows already in the room and I didn't have to request firm pillows as I normally have to.

I would have LOVED to know that a 45,000 person conference was going on across the street ahead of time, I obviously must have been living under a rock, but there was nothing on the site or anywhere indicating that it would be a zoo. Half my bad, and half the hotel's bad in not advertising it.

Facilties are comfortable and I got a really nice room with a view of the city. Most comfortable bed I have slept on (will reach out to them to ask about the model. Haven't slept this well in a while!) bathrooms are clean and updated. The feel of the hotel is excellent

Frankly everything was great. I wish there was a different way to work the destination fee / restaurant deduction as this is a nightmare for reports and reimbursements but other than that it was all really smooth.

I don't like The person in charge of the check-in, honestly, seemed a little rude to me, and lacked professionalism in customer service; rather, I found him a little racist. And well, when we left, the people to bring my car took more than 45 minutes to arrive, but they very kindly apologized because they had a lot of cars to bring; that's understandable, but the attitude of the person at the front desk was terrible.

The staff at the W are incredibly kind. We had two different work reservations with a day overlap and they went out of their way to secure one room so that we wouldn't have to check out and check in again. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. We also enjoyed the reusable bottle of water and water fountains available at every floor. In-room service is great. We have stayed at the W on multiple occasions during work trips and it remains a solid choice.

You can’t beat the location of this hotel. Across from the Moma, next to the Gold Club, walking distance to tons of restaurants, museums and shopping. We are quite familiar with this area and have stayed many times at the Hyatt Regency and Marriot as well as the Nikko, the Line, Intercontinental, and Zelos. The W is by far our favorite. The decor is awesome. The rooms, while small are quite functional. The bathroom is large and the shower is great, just remember to press the 2 buttons and turn to get the hot water. There is a child safe lock that foiled us the first time showering at 4am. The bed is very comfortable. The blackout shade had no light leaks! They didn’t knock on the door until 12:30 Sunday morning. There is a $35 not optional destination fee that must be used in the bar/restaurant. This is something that all hotels have been instituting. It got us to hang in the bar which was nice. But they double charged this fee and added a tip of their choosing which we were not happy with. We chose the cheapest king room on booking, I think it was called wonderful. The adjectives denote how high your floor is. We were placed on the 6th floor. There was zero street noise.

The child safe hot water buttons in the shower. Why is this needed. This is not a family hotel. We were double charged the $35 destination fee and weren’t given an option to choose our own tip at the bar.

location - It is the closest hotel to the convention center and it felt safe. room- It was very modern, clean, and spacious with a terrific city view. staff- They were all friendly.

communication - The hotel's daily $35 food and beverage credit needs refining as there is confusion among the staff about the policy. My husband and I had to inquire about it nearly every day of our 6-night stay and we received different answers about how to implement the credit, depending on which staff we spoke with from the front desk to the food staff. On our last day, we inquired three times whether we still had credit for the last morning and were told that we did and that it would show up on our final bill. It did not. I called a week later from home and was told that a request would be made with accounting and to expect a credit within a week. It has been over two weeks since that call and there has been no word.

I had a convention at the Moscone Center West and I loved the location. Very easy walk from the room to the convention center and no hassle with public transit. We were dropped off at the hotel and didn’t need to park a car which made the whole stay a breeze.

I think the light in our room as you walk in (2703) was broken which is a super minor thing. And also the hotel kept placing and releasing holds on my account even after checkout which is a little annoying because I wasn’t sure when the room would actually be charged and completed.

The position of the hotel is conveniently close to the city center, that you can reach by walking distance. The breakfast is served at the table, so there is no buffet, your choice is then limited to one main course order per person, which is fine because it's very high level. There are relatively less homeless people in the neighbourhood compared to other streets, which is usually not something to note for an hotel, but in San Francisco you might wanna know that before booking a stay.

Our room was not like the one in the picture, it did not come with a view, despite being at the 8th floor, we had to look at a grey building few meters away covering the whole big window, before you book try to ask for a room with a view. When you have the breakfast included keep in mind that you are in the US, so you will probably leave a gratuitiy, not a big deal, but if coming from Europe you feel awkward about this as the recommended gratuity is pretty much the price of a breakfast in europe. Finally, there is a bar downstairs, which is quite nice, unfortunately on our last night the whole bar was reserved because of a private party, so guests of the hotel weren't allowed, this shouldn't happen without informing guests.

I wasn’t aware of the 300 dollar deposit upon arrival. Although you get it back in about 7 business days, I think that’s a little too much for a deposit. On top of that we called the front desk to ask for the parking location. They didn’t give us a parking location, but rather told us to pull in to the valet parking lot, so we did, not knowing that we would be charged 90 dollars. So just watch out for these expenses when you stay here.

The hotel staff and manager were very kind and supportive. I felt safe and comfortable as I was traveling by myself for conference. The breakfast menu was great and even the staff there were very nice and kind to me. Overall I felt welcomed at W hotel.

I would prefer if there was a kettle and tea bags added next to the coffee machines. Because I prefer drinking tea over coffee and it was hard to get hot water unless I request for from hotel restaurant .
