Historical hotel recently renovated. There were a lot of historical aspects and decorations throughout. Staff was extremely helpful and conscientious. Breakfast was satisfying. More of a b&b vibe or maybe a boutique hotel—17 rooms. Sits on top of a hill, so it has awesome views. There is art throughout for sale; definitely part of the community. One if a kind experience. The fluffiest towels ever!

Because it is an old building, there are a lot of levels you have to take steps, so not good for everyone. Have a chairlift to the first floor.

Location was awesome! Some other reviews talk about no elevator, the place being dark and dingy. You go there to experience the HISTORY of this place, not all the frills and amenities of a Holiday Inn! If you aren't into staying at a 1800's spooky old hospital then don't stay here! But those of us who appreciate the history of this place and a chance to experience a ghost encounter, this place is awesome!! Staff went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. Thanks Brad!!!

Nothing really. Breakfast was on the "light" side- special breakfast bread (banana), hard boiled eggs, fruit, orange juice, coffee. It would be good to have a breakfast "buffet" toaster, cereals/milk, microwaveable "breakfast" sandwiches, gluten free options. They just don't have a large staff to do an expensive breakfast service. They're doing the best they can with the staff they have. Maybe expand the housekeepers role to preparing breakfast (if interested).

Gentleman at check-in was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Showed me where everything was and took order for continental breakfast. It was Valentine's Day when we stayed and there was a beautiful red rose and small bag of chocolates in the room which was a very special touch. I took the rose home with us and it lasted longer than any rose I've ever had...at least 10 days!!! Thank you!

Heating could have been better. The only heat was a space heater which was adequate for the room but didn't warm up the bathroom very much especially after a shower.

If you like B&B's, you will love it. It is an old house with lots of charm and history. We stayed in a room that was haunted and was an operating room, but sadly, we didn't see any ghosts. One guy ran the place, took orders, and was in the bar at night. There is no WIFI, but the 5G in the town is better than in any major city I have visited. Just used my hotspot.

Breakfast was OK, but they should have let us know we could have gotten coffee earlier. Other than that, I had no complaints. Not sure what I am supposed to write.

1. The immediate personal tour with Bill, followed by wonderful hospitality 2. The pool room where my kids and I could enjoy some games together 3. The guests and staff all treated us like family. The good kind not the kind you block and will only speak to on a holiday. 4. The room was spacious and clean. 5 last but not least, there was a lovely complimentary breakfast that we got to enjoy that was light but easy and enjoyable. Many thanks to the staff and visitors that made our stay so amazing!

A small desk or table in the room would probably be nice. But we decided to use the pool room bar area to eat our food instead of locking ourselves in our room. And everyone was welcoming and delightful!

The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the hotel. We also enjoyed the pub in the evening. It was a good experience and I would recommend the hotel to other visitors.

I booked 2 rooms, 1 double and 1 single. Somehow the single person received the larger room and I’m not sure why. The room was okay, but I’m just not sure why it was set up that way.

Beautiful historic building. Very clean. The guy that runs it was amazing, very friendly, gave us a tour. Was very impressed at the way he didn’t mention the “haunted history” in front of our 10 year old. He simply told us to check out the YouTube. We enjoyed the pool table.

Everything was great!

Very cute And full of stories!!! It's a pretty old building, but we were expecting that. It was neat and clean. Staff was super helpful and friendly!

The price was more when we arrived at the property. The worker was not able to do anything about it.
