Booked online and asked for early check-in due to having to stay in town longer for additional testing at Mayo Clinic. They texted me with early check-in availability and we went right on over. We were met by Josh, who was simply amazing, showing us to our room and around Salt Air Inn and Suites. It is a small groups of suites but homey and CLEAN! We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was clean, the rooms were clean and the employees were awesome!

It was clean and well taken care of. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered snacks and bottled waters/drinks as an added/appreciated perk. They also had bicycles you could use during your stay. The room had an apartment sized refrigerator to store stuff. We brought plastic ware, but could have used paper plates. There wasn’t any dish soap or dish towels. But there was a small microwave and paper towels. The place was conveniently located to restaurants and bars and the beach.

The soap cakes were like hard hockey pucks. And the shampoo was like using dish soap for your hair. Definitely bring your own soap/shampoo/conditioner. Also, no shade in the pool area. They have a sunshade fabric hung, but metal chairs are underneath it 🔥

I was traveling alone and arriving late at night, so I had some anxiety about booking a place in a city I’d never visited before. This hotel went above and beyond my expectations. The exterior was well lit, and I appreciated being able to see my vehicle from my room. The neighborhood felt safe, which gave me immediate peace of mind. The room itself was exactly what I needed—small, spotless, and incredibly cozy. It was clear that the owners truly care about their guests, from the neatly folded towels to the complimentary bottled water waiting in the room. Those thoughtful touches made my stay feel welcoming and personal. I would absolutely stay here again.

I loved the layout of the property. It’s unique and well decorated. The hotel room itself was lovely with a well functioning ac/heat unit and plumbing. Seems like it’s been newly refurbished. The furnishings are clean and nice, I had a room with a lovely walk in shower I wish I had had more time to enjoy. I also really appreciated a hotel room that didn’t have stained and sticky carpeting (so gross) - instead it was tile which kept the air in the room much fresher than most chain hotels. it was a great little find and I will be back. The man at the front desk was amiable, helpful, and kind. He was also very knowledgeable about the area.

The only real disappointment was the bed! It was a king, but it’s a little dilapidated/worn. I’d suggest the property owner replace the mattress. The breakfast on offer is more like some ‘morning’ snacks. It didn’t bother me, there’s a McDonalds a 2 minute walk away, but if you’re counting on it to be a hot breakfast spread, I’d recalibrate those expectations. :)

Room was absolutely spotless (I don't think I have stayed in a cleaner room and that counts many months at five star hotels around the world, including hospitality capitals such as the Emirates). Room included a free drink upon checkin, bike rental, and fishing (with bait and a rod) from the pier that the hotel co-owns. Excellent value for the money. These free additions really made the day special. More of a homey than a corporate type place, which was nice.

The "free breakfast" was just some granola bars and Quaker oatmeal packets, though they were nice enough to provide a free combo meal at McDonalds if you asked. While I appreciated the gesture, a higher protein breakfast from fresh ingredients would have been much more preferable given that I have avoided McDonalds for decades for health reasons. Still a good value room proposition, however, and I would definitely stay there again.

The room was exceptionally clean and well-equipped. The pre-check in communications were thorough and helpful. This is a traditional motel, but the owners have done a nice job in terms of making it more upscale-ish. The property is ideally located to reach the beach as well as the many restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

I understand why the rooms have tile floors and no carpet given the proximity to the beach, and tile is easier to clean - and the rooms are very clean. However, I wish there was a throw rug or two so that the room felt a little less sterile

Breakfast was packaged sweet rolls or breakfast bars and whole fruit. There are meal cards to McDonald's next door too. No community room coffee. Liked the salty snack and cold drink refrigerator on arrival The free bicycle usage was terrific Very friendly responsive staff The cute sand vibe at the small outdoor pool

Not a healthy breakfast Road noise w my room next to what is a busy road Picnic tables are on the small grounds- I can smell the cigarette smoke in my room when folks are out there Walls are somewhat thin- loud neighbors were hard to ignore

It was great and we enjoyed it The place was very clean super unique I would recommend it to anyone that's looking for a different experience instead of the brick and block hotel on the beach!!!!

Absolute nothing oh !!

It is ideally located close to the beach and great restaurants. The staff is very friendly and solicitous. Complimentary drinks and snacks are a nice touch. There was free parking on site with overflow space right next door.

My room was fairly spartan and perhaps a little “tired”, but it was clean. It had a kitchen area with a table and chairs, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and sink, but no dishes or silverware.

I've stayed at various spots in Atlantic Beach while visiting my parents a few times each year. This was my first time to Salt Air, only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The room was sparkling clean, with great climate control and all the necessary amenities. Staff were very responsive and they even offer a free beer or bev of choice and little snacks.

The bed was not very comfortable. While all the little freebies were awesome, I would encourage them to put more money into more comfortable mattresses. Parking was a little tricky but that's just the way it is at the beach.
