With my wife we spent one night only. The room was clean, silent with a comfy mattress. The professional receptionist welcomed us with a big smile properly explaining all the things we needed to know, providing us with a map of Tampa too. The riverwalk next to the hotel is amazing, was relaxing to have a walk after dinner joining other people and a little bit fresh air as well. In 10/12 minutes by foot in the Ashley street you can reach Downtown train last stop number 11 and take the old fashioned free train to Ybor city. We recommend to get off at the train stop number 2 and go to the seventh street, it's plenty of shops, restaurants and artigianal cigars' shop. The location of the Barrymore was good for us. It is by the Riverwalk and within walking distance of everything we wanted to explore. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One big plus was the availability of the hotel shuttle that took us to several places during our stay. One of them was Ybor historic neighborhood and Sparkman Wharf, among other places.

I think that the pool area could be improved. For example, my wife mentioned to me that there were no bathrooms near the pool--unless it was there and she missed it.

Easy check in and friendly staff. Good pizza in the restaurant eventhough we came very late in the evening. I bought a tasty large yoghurt (fruit parfait) for breakfast in the restaurant and the coffe was free. Good location close to the riverwalk. Very little service in the near surroundings, but not too far to walk to a number of bars and restaurants.

Horrible old wall to wall carpets in the rooms and corridors. We got the perception that it smelled. Remove them and replace with wood floor. The yellow color (we stayed on floor 9) is not pleasant.

The hotel was easy to find from the interstate. Nice area out front to park up and get checked in. Staff were very helpful and professional. Parking is easy at the side of the hotel. Hotel was comfortable and clean and I really enjoyed the stay. The hotel is in a good position for a short walk into Downtown Tampa or along the Riverside Walk. Didn't use the pool so can't comment on that. Breakfast was tasty and the Mango Wheat Beer in the bar before sleep was a pleasant first.

Nothing I didn't like - maybe I,m just easy to please. Even the trolley bus to Ybor City was free.

Love this hotel, great location to Tampa River Walk and all the attractions on it. Breakfast was great, and the attendant/ waitress is an awesome person. Her spirits was always cheerful and inviting. She made the morning cheerful and eager to get our day started. The hotel was clean and organized. I will return to Tampa, and this will be the place I stay.

If I had to pick something I didn't like, it would be that the hotel is an older hotel, but the cleanliness, staff, and definitely the breakfast attendant (please forgive for not remembering her name, I'm awful and remembering names) but all that made this a great place to sleep while in Tampa. Yes.. ill pick on the age of the hotel, but who cares... lol.. this is a great place to stay..

We enjoyed being downtown in Tampa and still having the peace of being in a quiet neighborhood. It was nice to be able to access our car whenever we wanted not waiting for valet or paying prices of valet. Convenient to the Riverwalk which was a plus. Also, liked that there are college students there so place is busy which is reassuring for safety too.

Housekeeping. We were asked at check in if we wanted daily or no housekeeping. We opted for daily but we did leave the do not disturb sign on when we didnt feel the need for it. However, the days it was left off, no one had come and when we inquired we were told we weren't on the list. The front desk was so helpful and understanding and it was a simple misunderstanding. They immediately took care of it and our room was spotless.

Great location! The staff were amazing! Genuinely friendly. Our room had a huge picture window with a view of the riverwalk/ water area. Quick access to the riverwalk! Beautiful. Everyone was very helpful and we took advantage of the very nice shuttle service. Plenty of pillows on the bed to choose from. Changed our towels and cleaned the room as needed. Super close to all the great restaurants downtown and Trolley and easy access to the major roads. The servers in the restaurant were awesome! We were able to play cards in the lobby at a large table and all in all made a great choice for our sister vacation!

The location was a perfect walk to both downtown and the ferry, and a good central location for Uber. The restaurant in the hotel was wonderful, and the staff was exceptionally friendly.

The front desk staff, while very friendly, were also quite open with verbally stating my room number in the presence of other guests within earshot, which was quite uncomfortable as a younger woman travelling alone. The bathroom counters are quite small (good for washing your face, not so great for hair hot tools). There was a place to buy snacks and frozen microwave meals, which was useful after the restaurant’s hours; however, the microwave meals left much to be desired.

The location and room was awesome. I had a wonderful view of the Riverwalk.

The hot water was not working well at all. There were roaches at night.

10min walking distance to downtown area, hotel provides free shuttle drop off and pick up within downtown/ybor area. Right across the riverside walk. Staff was very friendly, helpful with packages.
