The room was large and its layout was better than average (including more then enough table space and seating). They even have separate restroom and bathroom. The view from the 6th floor was nice. I actually enjoyed walking towards the river/historic area. In my book it was not far or boring at all. You say it's farther from downtown, I say it's closer to other historic squares such as Pulaski. I actually enjoyed the lower 8 squares more than those located closer to the river. Also remember that there's a free shuttle going in circles (aka Forsyth loop - see www.connectonthedot.com/new-dot-express-shuttle-services for details). The parking situation was not an issue contrary to my expectations. There's a 5-level public garage on the same block. Basically, one building behind. We arrived around 6 pm, stayed for two nights, left around 10 am, and it cost me under $40.

There's a breakfast area but my reservation didn't include a meal plan. I'm not sure if I messed up making the reservation or there was additional charge. I frown upon paying for parking as much as the next guy. But I recognize that in this case it was a top urban location, not an empty field next to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I really liked the location in the historic district. The tree lined streets are beautiful! We were within walking distance of many homes and squares. Th visitor’s center was just two blocks away. As a first time visitor, I really enjoyed the historic trolley tour.

Because the room was on the busy Oglethorystreet, it was quite noisy due to traffic. While the room was very clean, the lack of trash receptacles and plastic bags was a problem. My daughter was on her cycle and did not have a discreet way of disposing her sanitary supplies. When we returned to our room in the afternoon and evening, the bag we had used for the bathroom waste was sitting in the hallway next to our room entrance for hours. Ew.

Location was perfect, centrally located. Staff were wonderful, it's been quitting front desk, housekeeping, valet and the breakfast staff. The breakfast was always well stocked and warm. However, I wish they had more variety for the eggs and meat in the morning. The room lay out was a little odd with the two bathrooms, but we made it work. The beds were not as comfortable as I like but definitely not bad. One of the biggest problems was the extremely slow, and often broken elevators. Not the hotel's fault at all, but we tried to park in the garage behind the hotel and it was closed (broken) and unable to be accessed on our first day, which caused us to have to use valet. Once you check into valet they charge you for the entire stay immediately. We probably could have moved and gotten a refund, but we just gave up at that point due to the garage issues. During a busy check-in day the housekeeping also missed servicing our room one day. We didn't realize it until about dinner time and housekeeping was gone for the day, but we just asked clean towels to be delivered, and they were brought up immediately. Overall, it was a good stay and we enjoyed the hotel.

Wish there was a little more variety in the hot food for breakfast, then maybe add another waffle maker, as that always had a line. but otherwise the hotel is great.

Jamie the office manager was a gem. I appreciate her amazing customer service. My family and I were traveling for the USATF Junior Olympics. My children love this hotel, the accommodations, pool, easy access to downtown district and not far from the beach. I made several attempts while traveling there to make reservations by phone and online. Due to me traveling, I was having issues getting through and phone dropping. When I was finally able to reach someone I was informed that the rooms were sold out. My children were so disappointed, so I was determined to see if we could still take a chance and hope there was a cancellation. I continued to drive and when we arrived to Savannah I stopped at the hotel and was greeted by Jamie who assured me that she would be able to accommodate me. She was able to accommodate our entire stay. I appreciate her taking the time to understand my frustrations. We more than enjoyed our stay and we will continue to stay at this location Everytime we are in Savannah.

The house keepers did not clean out room the entire stay, even after requesting more than twice.

The front desk help was great and recommend places to eat and things to do. We decided to stay another night because of the suggestion made by that young man. Place was clean and it was a great stay beside when we went to leave. When we got there we had to unload our lugguage ourselves. On our 10 trip that was the only place we had to unload our own lugguage.

When I came in the lobby no one was at the front counter and went to get my car from Valet. There was a lady asleep at the valet desk, I stood there for awhile (because I did not want to scare her, I made a little bit of noise and she still did not wake up) then I ask if I could get me car. Then we had to load our own luggage. (pn this 10 trip with 3 ladies over the age of 70 that can not handle thier own luggage at all. One on a scotter and another with a walker. The lady that worked behind the front counter (after I had to ring the bell at 6 am) she came out. I had questions about the bill and was very rude, could not explain the bill to me.

We went to Savannah for sights. The hotel located in the "downtown" area near historical district. It is about in 15 minutes of walk out of the River Street. Everything is pretty close. Savannah is a tiny town though so if you don't stay in the outskirts everything will be in your walking distance. There is a good parking garage just for $5 on weekends, so we paid $10 for two days and it is just one block out of the hotel or less than 5 minutes of walk. Hotel also has $40 valet parking, but I don't like valet parking at all. The hotel is pretty clean. Suites are roomy. Beds are comfy. We had separated shower and restroom in our suite (I mean toilet bowl and a sink in one room and a bath tube/shower and a sink in another room). Easy to check-in and check-out and they freeze just $1 security deposit on your credit card, compared to many hotels that freeze something about $100-400 we have stayed in. There are coffee maker, small fridge, microwave, iron in the room. We didn't go to a GYM so I can't tell you anything about it but where we did go was a pool. And it was good. They have a type a spa hot tube, unfortunately only 4 nozzles worked. But we still enjoyed getting in cold pool water after sitting in hot. The breakfast was amazing. Great choice: cereals, oatmeals, coffee, juice, viena waffles, toasts, scrambled eggs, turkey patties were served. It is a buffet type of breakfast - self-service.

Not much to say there. WI-FI ! You can't just connect to the hotel network and enter provided password. You have to sign up on their web-site to get an access to WI-FI. So we had to use our carrier's 5G and it due to the walls it was slow in the room. We didn't like parking in front of the hotel. When you need to check-in and unload your vehicle the parking lot is too tiny. No biggie but like I said only 4 nozzles worked in the spa. So it is all rather nitpicking.

The room was very nice and very spacious. Perfect for our family of 4. The trundle bed/couch was great. The kids felt like they had their own bed in their own little area of the room. The free breakfast was better than most. Great location too!

We would have liked the king sized bed like we booked, but we were told that booking.com over sold that room. they gave us a double queen on the end of the hall, that was larger than the other rooms to make up for it. Also, we thought $40 a night for valet was a bit pricey. Everything was in walking distance, so we never even used our car.

The location was great, walking distance to everything. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was good.

The room was musty and smelled bad, it was very noisy. We could hear everything in surrounding rooms and outside. Overall this hotel wasn’t worth the high price I paid.

Cameron was amazing! He greeted us every time we re-entered the hotel, asked questions about our itinerary, and gave us a map of all the good places to eat in the area within walking distance from the hotel. The valet people were top tier too. Lil mama with the glasses, buddy with the dreads, and guy with the golds were all professional and down to earth. All we interacted with had a "can-do" and "I will" attitude and just seemed to be enjoying work and life.
