The rooms at the Modern were the most comfortable our group experienced on a 3 week roadtrip. We loved the walk-in showers, the very cozy beds and bedding, and the restaurant in the evening. We also liked the branding - very cute.

I was a little disappointed in breakfast, especially at the price of this hotel. After a wonderful dinner the night before I had higher expectations for the breakfast offering than microwaved eggbake or banana bread. We arrived in the middle of breakfast time and there was no more orange juice and the server was reluctant to make more. The coffee was good!

I always enjoy my stay here, today this place really started to grow on me as my go to spot in Boise. This time I was placed in a large room in the adjacent building rather than in the garden style rooms. Honestly I loved it over here and it was so quiet! I enjoy the simple breakfast downstairs, it's wonderful. It's not the cheapest but I suppose for the quality it is absolutely affordable. My favorite part of the rooms are the modern and beautiful showers. It is a great walkable location downtown. Modern is a great safe quiet place to get some sleep and tasty food and drink in Boise.

The staff are all amazing! Great vibe at this place that has been updated in a super fun way. We needed a pet-friendly place since we were traveling with our large dog, Hank. The room was spacious enough for our things plus Hank's bed. Immaculately clean and the bed was SO comfortable! Quite peaceful even though being in a downtown area. Nice choices for the free breakfast.

The dog "lawn" area is quite small, though there was no problem walking around the neighborhood for more exercise.

This is by far the coolest and most unique place I’ve stayed! Rooms were beautiful and so clean. They even gave you adorable little gift bags! I was only there one night for a medical appointment, but will be back for a longer stay for sure! Also, the staff was so helpful and friendly!

The complimentary breakfast was so good, i loved the homemade feel to it. Little Frittatas and banana bread and yogurt parfaits. Their coffee was really good too, i guess they have their own blend that is made just for them. We happened on one of their themed weekends, that was so cute! I am gonna keep an eye out for more of those as we didn't have too much time to enjoy that.

I liked everything.

We appreciated the luxurious updates in our suite. Bed was very comfy and decor and amenities were everything we needed. The surprise for us was the incredible menu prepared by an exceptional chef. Absolutely all the staff were extra friendly and more than helpful. We arrived at the Modern by referrals from some lovely ladies living in Baker City. Keep up the good work.

Hard to think of anything.

This is a traditional motel that has been refurbished. There is free parking and breakfast. The breakfast was much better than similar priced chain hotels, with frittata (veg or meat), good orange juice, fruit, yogurt and granola and decent coffee.

Rooms are small due to its motel roots, but also very spartan, some funky decoration would be nice.

Very modern upgrade from 1950’s motel, and is truly a “modern hotel”. Breakfast is real food and excellent coffee and tea, unlike every other hotel we’ve stayed at. This is the third time we’ve stayed here over 5 years, and we pay a bit more to stay in one of their suites — essentially 2 1950’s motel rooms combined into a nice suite. Good restaurant but we prefer for dinner to walk to downtown — lots of good restaurants within 1/2 mile.

Parking is limited but we’ve always found a space.

Great spot, fun stay! Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom with big with a new rain shower. My room opened up into the courtyard with firepits and fun seating. Breakfast, dinner and cocktails in the hotel restaurant were all delicious. Wonderful, walkable location for fun spots downtown. Would 100% recommend!

Easy access (even with road construction), great downtown location, wonderful amenities, thoughtful, stylish remodel, good parking, , comfy bed, ample hot water in shower, friendly, knowledgeable staff, on site bar breakfast, snacks. Above & beyond helpful (I left my phone charger in my room & it was mailed to me). Recommend.
