Easy walk to center of French Quarter.
Due to high ceilings or no carpet, was able to hear noises above/aside. Bathroom sink wasn’t draining properly but not a deal breaker since I was alone.

Great location, amazing and helpful staff. All of them made us feel at home, comfortable and welcome. They helped us in every way possible.
The hotel is an old building which adds to its charm, but the floors could do with insulation as we heard all the heavy footsteps from the above room. Guests leaving at certain times of the night/early morning hours should be advised to do their packing during day time hours so as not to disrupt other guests sleeping. Also the website should be updated to reflect that the restaurant is not part of the hotel, that guests can get 10% off food and that they close at 9pm

Great location, at the quiet margins of the French Quarter, near Canal st.. Very central and convenient in terms of attractions and public transportation. The service at the front desk was excellent. Staff was helpful and nice. The room was very spacious, and included a sitting area. It had a refrigerator and microwave. Complementary tea/coffee in the lobby 24/7.
There was an unpleasant smell in the hotel, somewhat musty. After a minute you don't feel it anymore, but on the moment of entry it is perceptable. The window in my room faced a very close and active parking lot building, so the curtains had to be shut, and there was not enough light in the room, to my mind. The room was cleaned 3 times during my 6 days stay. Shower gel was missing all throughout my stay (I used shampoo). The coffee in the lobby was a wonderful surprise but milk was missing.

The location was great. It is walking distance to things we wanted to do in the French Quarter. I liked the availability of refreshing water in the lobby, especially because we were there during a very hot time of year. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Our room was overlooked in the cleaning rotation a couple of days. Thankfully, it was taken care of when we alerted the staff. The staff were polite, but only one really seemed approachable. The microwave sat directly on the refrigerator, which sat on the floor. I found it odd that it did not sit on a piece of furniture.

Loved the location. Within walking distance to everything in the French Quarter. Yet, far enough from the noise of the crowds. Hotel staff were very friendly. Housekeepers did a good job on ensuring our room was clean and fresh towels available daily.
We noticed the Hotel had a bit of a musty smell when we got out of the lift towards our room on the third floor. Water pressure in the shower was very weak. No coffee making facility in the room, had to go down stairs to the foyer. The dispensers were not always filled. Unfortunately, you could easily hear the guests moving about on the floor above.

The location is literally unbeatable if you're a first time visitor to New Orleans. To your left you can easily walk around the French Quarter and see the main sites, also a lot of the tours started nearby. To your right is Canal Street with the Street Cars, Casino and Magazine Street. In terms of facilities, we love that we have a great sized fridge and a microwave for those later nights when the main restaurants are closed. Bed was large and comfy, always have enough toiletries, fresh towels and the whole place always looked and smelled clean.
Not necessarily a "didn't like" but something that can be improved is we expected our room to be serviced the day before we checked out as wanted to have a clean and fresh room on our last night. It didn't get done but luckily we had enough fresh towels to freshen up before we left.

Location, price, staff. Hotel was the best price for it's location. Rooms were typical for an order hotel with room size and some rmodel, staff was great and responsive to our requests, the fun part was walking right into the French quarter, BIG tip the restaurant next door was the best food we had in New Orleans
Lighting in the room. Number of electrical outlets

I have only positive things to say about this wonderful hotel. The value for money was genuinely astounding. I got a suite consisting of king size bedroom, living space, and bathroom for an astonishingly low amount of money. I genuinely cannot believe how much space I got for the money. On top of that, the hotel suite is beautiful and full of character. The AC system worked perfectly, everything was clean and tidy, and my room was serviced during my two night stay, linens replaced etc. The location is ideal whatever type of visit you’re planning to take to New Orleans. Handily, there’s a small store very close by for any snacks and amenities you may require. A genuinely fantastic hotel, one of the best I’ve stayed in, particularly when factoring in the cost.
I don’t think it would be fair to say a single negative word about this hotel.

The two best things about the hotel is its location and Latisia at the front desk who solved all the maintenence problems we encountered
The Maintenance of the hotel is not functioning properly. When we arrived, the safety deposit box was already locked. The toilet did not flush properly and overfowed and we were shown two additional rooms to move to. Also in these rooms, the saferty boxes were locked. Maintenance needs to be seriously revamped

Great location, short walk from everything but quiet right there on Decatur. The front desk staff was so wonderful both at check-in and the next day. We were only there for one night but it was such a cute and classy place to stay.
I don't know what the deal was with the shower in our room. It seemed like it was missing the second door, but maybe it was supposed to be that way? It looked recently remodeled, nice tile with pristine grout and very modern shower door hardware, but there was only one glass shower door on these fancy modern looking wheels on the track that were caulked into place so that it wouldn't slide. The side of the shower door was sealed to the wall with caulk too. There was no second door to close to the shower and the top of the shower door wasn't even a double track that would support two doors. You just stepped in and turned on the water and tried to get warm in the drafty shower stall.
