Adequate and free parking. Rooms were clean. Beds were pretty comfortable. Room 360 (spent an extra night in this one) was much better than 159. It was brighter and smelled better. Nice beach view too. The people in the office and housekeeping were very nice and helpful. Rob is wonderful. Great location. Sahara Cafe right across the street with good food.

No elevator. The room I got when extended our stay an extra day was on third floor so quite a climb with back and knee problems. Room 159 had an odd smell, like hermit crabs or something. Rooms really need updating. There is no one in the Empress office. Have to go to Sahara office.

Beds were comfortable, location was great, pool was clean and perfect temperature. Staff was accommodating and upgraded us to an efficiency room for no extra charge. Housekeeping does a great job of bringing clean towels every day. Air consitioners in each room (2 room efficiency).

No elevator. Comforters were awful material and very heavy. Staff was not readily available in the office. Toilets were weird and kept clogging.

We loved that it was close to the beach, our whole family of 7 could stay together in an apartment-style room, that there were 2 bathrooms (comes in handy with 5 girls) and it was clean.

We had to ask for pillows for 3 of the beds. You also have to make your own bed daily as housekeeping only brings towels and takes trash. However, housekeeping only came and brought towels a couple of days at the beginning of the week then stopped... so we had to go ask for towels and take out our own trash the rest of the week. We always tip housekeeping well so not sure what the issue was... but we wish at least the light housekeeping would have been consistent all week.

We got a room that was a mini apartment. It was 4 bedroom and 1 1/2 bath. Not knowing when I booked it. Was just me and 3 kids so we each had our own room a bathroom was never a problem. A full kitchen was awesome because we saved so much money cooking our self. We stayed 5 nights. Was our best place ever staying at OC and plan on going back in 2 years and hopefully booking same room.

The room was super clean but starting to get out dated. The TVs were not clear picture. Just need a little up date on furniture and carpet. Otherwise was a great stay.

I like the location. My goal was to get as close as possible to the boardwalk and I was successful. Great location!

I wish check in and check out were in the same building. I would have liked if the other guests would respect the no noise after a certain time. We were woken up at 1 a.m. because of a very large family that decided it was best to be loud and party. Not the motels fault the guests were loud but I feel the rules would be enforced a little bit more.

I liked that there was a pool on site and it was very close to the beach.

The pool was dirty. Toilet paper floating in the water, and a banana peel was in the pool filter. The blinds in the room were very dirty and the beds were very uncomfortable.

Location to beach, pool, 1st floor

We were on 1st floor. People above us were loud all hours each night, even after several complaints to manager who did address issue when he could. Ice machine was down with only 1 available in different hotel. Pool closed at 8 which wasn't biggie

Spotless room - so nice to enter your motel room and find it so clean and smelling so nice. Pat is excellent at keeping things pristine and she's also friendly and helpful. Sharon, at the front desk welcomed us so warmly and made sure we knew we could contact her if we needed anything. The beds were comfortable, and we wish we could have stayed much longer. Location is great - less than a block to the Boardwalk - a very quiet section of the Boardwalk. Convenient to everything we might need: food, coffee, golf, etc. They also have a nice, clean pool!

Everything was great at the Empress. We felt very safe in a well-lit parking lot and surrounding area. We loved our stay and couldn't ask for anything more.

We loved the location, the staff were great with towels and toiletries and the like. It was kept clean. It is an older property but everything is well maintained.

There is a slight musty smell, could be from being shut up in the off season, but other than that no real concerns.

Very clean and friendly staff. Location was perfect for me as I wanted to be close to the beach. The free coffee in the lobby was a bonus. Check in was fast and easy. If you come early you are able to get a pass for parking and use the pool. Lots of coupons in the lobby as well.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the outdoor shower water is freezing.
