The room was comfortable for the most part. The temperature control was very reactive. There was plenty of room to move around.

The biggest issue was the baggage accommodation and closet size and features. There was no way to open a large suitcase except to put it on the bed. A folding luggage rack would have solved this. Also there were just a few hangers so coats had to be lain somewhere else. Also a smaller issue was the size of the restaurant and short hours for breakfast. Breakfast was very good though. Restaurant very small and no lunch service at all. None of this would keep me from staying there again. Staff was exceptional.

The property felt very modern and inviting. It was a 2 block walk to MBTA North Station/TD Garden which was perfect for my business trip as I had to ride the commuter rail to my job site. You were within a 10 minute walk to most anything in the North End. Gordon Ramsay Burger and Mike's Pastry were highlights. Staff was incredibly helpful, particularly the evening/overnight staff. They helped us get checked in a bit early. Bed was super comfortable and loved the huge TV to watch from bed. For a smaller room footprint, we never felt cramped or lacking. The bathroom was perfect. Great amenities with the restaurant and vending areas in the lobby. Would always look to stay here when coming to Boston!

Nothing!

The location was within walking distance to lots of attractions and great food with the north end being so close. The street the hotel is on doesn't get a lot of foot traffic so there was no issue with noise even with td garden being just down the street. The room was perfectly sized with two double/queen sized beds and a separate bath. Hairdryer and coffee pod maker were provided in the room despite what other reviews warned. There was no cleaning service during our stay but we had plenty of towels for 6 days and could have asked for more if needed. Everyone was very friendly.

It would be nice to have a list of amenities available in the lobby listed in the rooms for quick reference. Also, there needs to be some clarity about the breakfast and whether it is complimentary or not as there is a memo posted near the elevator that implies it is. It wasn't a big deal as we ate out for every meal (and Boston has great food so you really should be eating out) but I thought it was confusing.

The location is amazing, and I love the design and decoration in the rooms

My only complaint would be is that I think there is too much bleach used in washing the linens because both myself and my partner left there with a terrible red rash on her skin from the sheets and could do a bleach in the hallway while leaving the room the next day after checkout so I’m assuming you bleach the linens which is understandable however definitely is not rinsed enough or something cause we both left there with very red rashes that would indicate clearly some kind of a bleach burn from linen

I was so cautious of staying at the Onyx after reading unpleasant reviews, however, we were greeted in the lobby and checkin was no issue. Upon entering our room, it was clean, updated and very nice! The room, while not super roomy, comfortably fit two queen beds and the bathroom was very nice with a spacious shower that had a waterfall shower head. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash smelled great. Beds were clean and comfortable. Larger TV than you would typically find in a hotel room! Cute decorative fireplace that added to the home-y feel. Location of hotel was very desirable as TD garden/ Amtrak and MBTA are very close (2-3 min walk). Breakfast was simple but plentiful!! Nothing was ever understocked and staff were very attentive. I appreciated the more simple breakfast of cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, danishes, juice, coffee as you could get a light breakfast before heading out without it taking up too much time from your day. On our day of checkout, they held our luggage for a few hours before we had to leave so that we could get some more sightseeing in before our departure from Boston. I would definitely stay here again.

View from the room window was less than desirable, it was of another building, but a window sheer curtain covers the window that lets in natural light but the view isn’t noticeable. We were fine with having the hotel be in a great location over great view from our room.

Loved the location, both in the city and proximity to the T, the decor, the beds were comfy, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for the Boston Marathon.

Our coffee maker was broken, but the staff had me get free coffee from the restaurant. Thankfully they were open when I needed coffee :) We also had some issues with the hot water only working from one of the shower heads the last two days.

The hotel was very clean and the location was awesome. Centrally located & a lot of things were within walking distance. If not the T was 3 blocks away. I did read the reviews before I left and some reviews said they didn’t have a blow dryer. There was one in my room.

There is no parking. I had read it was limited parking but the only parking is valet & that’s $65.00 a day. There also wasn’t any resturant or bar on site. I’m not sure if they are remodeling or what was going on.

Room was beautifully decorated. Especially the bathroom! The detail was immaculate. From the led lighted mirror to the colors in the room. To the beautiful hallways. The bathroom had news paper print wallpaper and marbled counter. Definitely nothing I’ve seen before.

For how beautiful it was, I expected more comfort. The mattresses definitely needed a comfortable topper. Bed was very hard to sleep on. The pillows were very uncomfortable! It was nice that they were feathered pillows but all were too slim, ended up leaving with neck pain because of how uncomfortable they were. The mattresses and pillows do not fit in with how beautiful the room was. Also, the shower curtain was not long enough to fully cover the tub. My only complaints

Location was excellent, staff were attentive and friendly.

Had to wait over an hour to get our car from the valet due to there only being two staff on. This was the night following a concert, so the hotel was full with concert goers looking to leave the following morning. The staff did the best they could, but management should have scheduled extra help. The app for the valet parking was also not working that morning. It was chaotic and confusing due to the lack of staff working.

Beautiful, modern and updated rooms, gorgeous bathroom and shower, comfortable beds and little special touches like a dim focus light next to each bed and a foot bar in the shower for shaving your legs. Very close to TD Gardens and government parking garage.

Construction was happening in the lobby so there was a lot of plastic sheeting, and just a direct path from the door to the check-in desk with one bench seating. A number of shuttered businesses nearby.
