I loved the flags outside celebrating Pride Month. The rooms were small but efficiently designed and well decorated with tasteful art choices. The perks outweighed the fact that it wasn’t beachfront. I also appreciated the morning coffee, and the nice, locally sourced toiletries. The staff was also upbeat and approachable.

The only way this stay could have been better would be if we had a bit more room, but it won’t deter is from coming back.

Beautiful , tasteful, modern surfer boho vibe decor. Super clean. Quality touches like throw pillows, art work, Bluetooth speaker, sewing kit, clothes steamer, real mugs for coffee, ice, good quality white towels. Very easy check in process. Just enter your code into the door keypad. Walking distance to historic area, restaurants, beach, and grocery store. Other things I didn’t have time to experience like the rooftop and the bicycles.

They thought of everything. Very impressed.

The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. The mattress was very comfortable and lots of pillows to choose. The bathroom was very nicely remodeled with a walk-in shower. Appreciated body wash, shampoo, hair dryer, fridge, microwave and coffee maker being provided. Nice to have the option to borrow the bikes. Front office staff was super friendly. The air filter in the room was also great to have.

Parking was an issue. It said 1 space per room but it seems some may have had more than 1. Spaces are also very tight. We were a little surprised to find that dogs are not allowed on the rooftop terrace since it's a dog friendly hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 3:45pm but the code to the room didn't work until 4pm. I understand it's electronically programmed that way but it would be nice if the room is ready that access could be given early.

All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful with local recommendations. There was also a book in the room with local recommendations - this clearly took some time an effort to compile The room was very clean, everything was in working order and most of it looked new. Parking was good. The spaces may be a little small for larger vehicles, but there is plenty of room to park on the road.

I like how clean the place is and smells good even if it accommodates dogs. Great amenities, free coffee in the morning , free beer or wine in the afternoon. Close proximity to the beach and WashingtonMall. Near the dog playground the restaurants, Acme. All walking distances from the Center of the town. Accessible and has ample parking space This is our 2nd time to stay here with our furbaby.

The location was excellent. The decor was stylish and amenities including bikes and beach passes were all great. The bed was huge and very comfortable and most of all, the Boarding House was dog friendly.

The pillows were flat. Housekeeping would be better every other day rather than every three (for stays of more than three nights), particularly as the place is dog friendly.

The room was squeaky clean, the bed was very comfortable, and much information was supplied in the guide. The shower is spacious and easy to use. Our host in the reception was friendly and informative. We enjoyed tasting one of the wines he offered. We also liked the rooftop patio that looks out at trees and sky. We don't have a dog, but there was no sign of dogs having been in the room.

I can't think of anything to improve.

Beautiful property, the room was clean. The location was perfect, 2 blocks from Washington Square and a 5 minute bike ride to the beach. The location was perfect.

The deadbolt was malfunctioning frequently but I eventually got it to work correctly so I felt safe at night.

Was walking distance to eateries, shopping and a supermarket.Was able to walk our dog in a field across the street.Room was comfy, clean.Morning coffee and happy hour were nice.

The bed was too soft for my and hubby’s liking. It felt like sleeping on a large feather pillow that sunk in, was hard to get out of and to turn in bed.

They literally thought up everything that someone would need while staying in Cape May. The staff were exceptional and extremely helpful. I would recommend the Boarding House to anyone who wants to stay in Cape May.

Parking in the lot is a little tight and limited, but there is ample street parking on Lafayette.
