I have been visiting Cape May for many many years. I even have stayed at this property 30 years ago as a child. It was fun to come back with my own children for a quick trip. Wish we had more time- the I likely would have booked a house/apt but the hotel is good is you like historic buildings and it's in a great location to walk to town and beaches. I appreciated that there was complimentary chair/umbrella service at the beach. The restaurant/bar on the patio is absolutely lovely- offering live music- and delicious food and cocktails.

I was shocked that the pool closed early every evening- 6 pm is unfairly early for families with children. We only could use it for a few minutes after leaving the beach when we were told it was closing. Knowing how much my children like pools, I would not have booked the hotel if I knew the hours of the pool were so limited. The hotel is also very old and white the rooms are updated, the walls are thin and there are a lot of stairs to climb if you are elderly or have mobility issues.

Older property, no elevator, someone helps with your bags, nice breakfast and bar inside. There is nice places to sit outside, two roof areas to sit as well. There is parking in a lot. Good food and coffee bar. The rooms have window AC so on really hot days the room may not be cool. Bring beach chairs, towels and umbrellas if the beach is closed for swimming you can use the beach but the third party provider can be closed. There is a nice pool with chairs and umbrellas plus a small kids pool. No food at pool but drinks are aloud. There is music outside as well.

That there was a third party provided for beach items. Since beach was open they were not.

The building was cool and we enjoyed hanging out by the fireplace in the lobby. We had a room with an ocean view, which was really nice. It was convenient to be able to walk everywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The voucher for the coffee shop was an awesome bonus.

The hotel website specifically says there’s live entertainment on the weekends in the off season, but we were told that’s during peak season only. Very disappointing since that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The room was nice but more furniture to put our stuff on would have been good - especially night stands next to the bed.

The building/its history was cool, the kitchen and cafe had great food and drinks, the staff was great

Looked a little beat up on the outside/ needs to be painted. I didn’t like that you had to rent the refrigerator/seems like that should come with a room, seemed cheap. Also the AC did not work and they had to install one in our room but it was not placed properly, big gap in window so didn’t effectively cool the room.

You cannot beat the location and the view! We could see the water while laying in bed, and it was nice to grab a coffee and go sit on the beach early in the morning. The mattress felt new and firm. The walls, sheets and towels are all a lovely crisp white. The mini split kept us warm on a cold night. On a warm night we cracked the window for the fresh ocean breeze.

The building is old and Victorian. The woodwork and tin tiles in the bathroom are very pretty, but the slight slope to the floors is a bit disconcerting until you get used to it.

I loved the nostalgic feel of the Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We liked the live music during cocktail hours. It was helpful having the pass for the beach chairs and beach passes that came with the room rental.

We enjoyed the property very much and the only thing I wish they had was more hooks in the guest rooms/bathrooms to hang wet towels and bathing suits. I also feel that they need more merchandise with the logo. Maybe plastic souvenir cups instead of disposable plastic cups.

The ambiance, service and location was exceptional! we loved staying here! when our room was very hot due to heat wave, Jill the manager put in a portable ac and it did the trick! gathering on the porch for breakfast and night caps made our family weekend even better! Inn is centrally located for beach, shopping and restaurants

Our 3 rooms were all on separate floors - would have liked to be on the same floor or at least1 floor away Pool sun loungers uncomfortable -

Location, history, parking, and staff. It was great that we were given coupons for breakfast, free rental of chairs and umbrella for beach, and beach tags. We also enjoyed the fire pits and comfy sofas in the yard to wind down with a glass of wine and chat.

I didn’t like that I had to rent a refrigerator for the room, but even with that I thought the price of that was too much. I was glad to that we got two beach tags, but there were three of us. The only other thing was the price, but you couldn’t beat the location. I am usually a bargain traveler, so it bothered me to pay so much. However, we were traveling with family who needed to stay somewhere with a kitchen in there room, we wanted to be close and that hotel didn’t have any rooms that could accommodate us, so we decided that we’d stay at the Inn.

1. Location was perfect. 2. Free parking. 3. During our stay in December, during the holidays, the breakfast in the dining room on the weekend was great; however, on Monday morning, there was limited amounts and selections of breakfast items available. 4. Staff was very helpful.

1. The Noise! Our room was on the 2nd floor above the lobby and it was very noisy in the evening (past 11:00 pm), preventing us from sleeping. The staff said they asked people to be more quiet, but they didn't listen. I would stay at the Inn again only if I could request a room away from the front staircase. 2. Suggestions: a. Put up signs throughout the lobby designating 'quiet time' for guests during a specific time, for example, 11:00 pm-8:00 am. b. Have a hot water dispenser available for guest who want to brew their own cup of tea or other hot beverage. It was not convenient asking staff to leave the front desk to get hot water from the kitchen.

Live music was awesome! The food and cocktails were good too. Lovely old building but could use some work.

Room was minimalist- no decorations! Also breakfast service on Sunday was slow- we waited so long for a server we just left. Sunday 7/13. Pet peeve- no free coffee in lobby OR machine in room!
