The hotel itself is a great mix of casual and upscale. Furnishings were nice. Bathrooms are spacious and nice as well.
The hallways seemed louder than normal - like doors opening and closing seemed oddly loud. People themselves were not loud so idk if it's the acoustics or what but yeah I woke up a few times. Bathroom lighting was pretty horrible for makeup application.

Great hotel not far from Subway and for walking to Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges (a must do). Nice size room, good bathroom. Staff helpful and kind. Restaurant for breakfast is slightly separate; it's Mexican, and open all day for food. Breakfast options are good though (eggs, bacon etc), and cooked to order. There's a good cocktail bar a few doors up in another hotel, called the Oak? I think. NY is very expensive to stay but cheap to travel around and the subway is as safe as any subway - we found lots of lovely people in NY. The Brooklyn Museum and Library is worth a visit, there's also a Transport Museum up the road but we missed the opening hours. And do, please, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, it's the most awe inspiring structure you've ever seen.
Nothing, all good for us

The hotel has a great location—there are shops, restaurants, and several metro stations from different lines nearby, so you can easily get to Times Square in about 20–25 minutes. The rooms are small but quite cozy, with a comfortable bed. In our room, a wall light kept turning on by itself, and the furniture was a bit scratched—but when you're in Brooklyn and Manhattan is just next door, do you really care about the furniture? The housekeeping team does a great job—everything in the room was spotless, and the next day our bed was neatly made. The bathroom was also very clean. Well done—you’re doing a great job!
The parking attendant behaves a bit strangely—somewhat condescending and not very polite, as if we owe him something. In reality, the car is taken to a different parking lot and then brought back upon request. The rules state that you need to request the car at least an hour before your intended departure time. However, our car was already parked across the street just 10 minutes after we made the request, and we were told to move it immediately. So essentially, it's the hotel staff who decide when I check out, not the guest.

The room is spacious, well-lit, and easy to navigate. The bed, pillows, and linens are comfortable and of high quality. Everything is clean and tidy. There’s a comfortable writing desk with a good lamp, and the TV screen is sufficiently large. The wardrobe is compact but includes an ironing board and iron. There’s even a microwave oven (although I would suggest placing it somewhere other than the suitcase stand!). The toilet and sink are comfortable, and there’s a large mirror in the bathroom, with an additional one in the hallway. The restaurant offers excellent service and delicious food.
The hotel is located on a small street, which can make it difficult for cars (including Uber) to stop in front, even for a brief moment, particularly during heavy traffic. The floor carpets are somewhat worn. It would be helpful to have a few coat hooks, as the walls are otherwise bare. Additionally, the shower lacks a portable head, and the water pressure cannot be adjusted.

This Holiday Inn stands at the top end of Brooklyn, and is very handy for several lines into Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn (I was making regular trips up to Greenpoint, so that was an important consideration). The room was good, quiet and cool, with a particularly nice bathroom and some great 13th floor views - I could salute Liberty every night before I turned in. There is a pool in the basement level, and it was lovely to swim every morning before the frantic activities of the day began. A lot of good breakfast places nearby for that schmear to start your day.
The behaviour of some of the other guests left a little to be desired - do you need to be yelling in the corridors? And smoking weed is best done somewhere else, not in a hotel. Not a criticism of the hotel per se, but some 'stricter guidelines' might not go amiss.

Great location, amazing amenities, and the best part was the 24 hour parking situation. It’s been so hard finding a good hotel with great parking and this is one we would come back to for that reason!
I booked and paid for what seemed to be two different rooms, one with a view and one simply on a high floor (full size beds and another room with queen size beds) and the rooms were exactly the same. I think a room should be exactly as advertised which in our case it was not. This however didn’t ruin the trip. We really liked the hotel and staff. It is simply an observation.

The room was clean, albeit small - the chair by the desk needed to be thrown away as the faux leather material was peeling badly. The bathroom was decent enough, although the hand wash needed to be replaced and they only gave me one towel. The lotion is very cheap and dries your skin out more than it helps. The bedding was clean and the pillows were super comfortable! Washers and dryers are free for guests. Hotel is centrally located between Albee Square Mall and Atlantic Center. A/C Hoyt and Schermerhorn stop is a block and a half away. I had a very enjoyable stay.
There are people who do not adhere to the rules and smoke weed in their rooms. I was on the 7th floor and you could smell it as you walked the hallways. Communal microwave in the lobby was dirty and needed to be cleaned.

The staff was very friendly/helpful. The hotel is nice but outdated, and the furniture and drapes are old/worn. For the rates being charged, I expected better. The restaurant on site was awesome. We ate there several times. All things considered, I would not stay there again.
Didn't like the fire alarm going off twice just before midnight (false alarm). The ice machine didn't work on our floor. I'm not sure if the parking is part of the hotel, but the staff wasn't overly helpful. Also, the cost of the parking is entirely too expensive.

Great location, easy access to the subway with direct lines around Brooklyn and into Manhattan. The pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room were a lovely bonus after long days of sightseeing!
The facilities and rooms are a bit run down. Hotel staff was friendly and accessible, but the contracted support services were not responsive (we had requested extra towels which were never delivered; when we follow up with the front desk they were shocked to hear the request had not been completed). Otherwise, great value!

This was a good hotel in a great location. Close to lots of public transport options and walkable to good food and restaurants. It was a walkable distance to Barclay's centre which was ideal for our stay. The bathroom was nice and modern, if not a little small, but to be expected in Brooklyn. We stored our bags after check out for no cost and the desk was always attended.
The elevators are very slow. Our room key stopped working part way through our stay which was inconvenient, although the staff did fix this quickly so no big issue.
