The mansion was lovely and the staff were very nice. They include a breakfast with the room which was ok (not spectacular but ok) but it is not until 8:30am and there is no coffee in the rooms or anywhere in the mansion so if you get up before 8:30 which most people do, you have to drive to a coffee shop. It was nice but I would not stay there again. When you are only there for 1 night it is quite expensive for the nice building and an ok breakfast. Lots of pictures of the man who built the mansion, big pompous man wearing lots of banners and medals ...basically he inherited wealth. Perhaps I am just sick and tired of pompous men these days! I don't admire them! Actually all this guy did was build a big house for himself and served as an ambassador, a job which was awarded to rich men! He actually did nothing for society with his money except entertain A-listers.I gave the place an 8/10 because it is not the owners' fault that Mr Batcheller is no one you would look up to.

Staggeringly beautiful property, exquisitely restored with delightful staff who really want you to have a lovely time. Fantastic location, an easy walk through the very safe park to the high street, or walk along the main road if you prefer. There is everything you need to hand.

If you’ve an over active imagination and you like large, bustling chain hotels, the. This quiet, sedate and historic home won’t be for you. It has sweeping mahogany staircases and its right out of central casting. Halloween was a great season to be there. We loved it!

The accommodations were absolutely lovely. We stayed in the ‘Kate’ and the bed was super comfortable and the room so spacious with its own private bath. The property brings you back ‘in time’.

There was anything we didn’t like. Would recommend a sign in the parking area to enter through the front of the building, as parking is in the rear. We were disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy the inclusive breakfast, as breakfast was not served until 8:00a.m. And there was no coffee available early. Overall, a wonderful experience.

The building is so beautiful and unique. It is within walking distance to downtown. The breakfast was outstanding and delicious. I would not change much. A more generous serving of home-fried potatoes could be offered at breakfast.

The introduction to the property was somewhat curt and quick. It could be cultural differences between being in NY and us being from Colorado. Other than checking in, the rest of the staff was very friendly.

It was fun staying in a mansion with wonderful attention to period details in the decor. There were multiple rooms downstairs to relax or read in, and the bedrooms were nicely decorated. The bathroom was modern and clean. Keep in mind, there is no elevator and stairs lead to the bedroom floors, which was not a problem for us however. The included breakfast was excellent. The location was in walking distance to the park and shops.

Beautiful and clean place. This bed & breakfast was one of the best we've stayed at. The staff was very attentive in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Less than a mile walk to the race track. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Martha, the inn keeper, met us as we walked in, and was very friendly, and extremely accommodating, offering to help carry bags up to our room. I was struck by the beauty of this old home right away, and there was a very good feeling here. Martha was happy to answer all my questions regarding the home, and I could see that she loves this house. I am looking forward to getting back.

I cannot think of a single thing. For me, it was perfect.

This is our third time staying here and we absolutely love it. We love the charming character of the Victorian hotel. The staff is wonderful and the facility is clean. The homemade breakfast is a plus! We stayed in George's room and this was by far my favorite room we stayed in! Looking forward to coming back next year! I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Fantastic location as a base to explore downtown Saratoga. Take a walk through the park, and you're right at the beginning of your downtown Saratoga adventure. Walk back through the park, and you're back at the beautiful inn you're calling home for however long your stay may be. The staff are very welcoming.

The fact that our stay was so short.

The location is very convenient to SPAC and the track. You can walk into town, which is why we selected this location. Breakfast was delicious. You select from a menu the day before, which was a nice touch. Our bathroom was lovely and almost as large as our Amelia room. There is plenty of outside and inside space to enjoy. The refrigerator in the room was a plus, as was the ice machine, located downstairs. The mansion is extremely quiet and very clean, which we appreciated.

It would have been nice to have breakfast earlier. The first seating is at 8:30; we would have preferred it an hour earlier. Our bed was softer than we are used to, but if you like your mattress that way, then it was fine. The TV left a lot to be desired. We could not get the channels we are used to viewing, but then again, we did not come to watch TV. The mansion is being painted, which is a major job. We had a view of the crane, which was not scenic or private. The good news is this mansion is being well-maintained.
