Great location near airport and close enough to downtown Charlotte. They had an airport shuttle available, although we didn’t need it. The warm cookies at check in were a delightful surprise and they had an allergy free option available if needed, and I appreciated seeing the inclusivity on the treats. Room was also spacious, cozy, and had a comfortable bed.

The location from the lobby to the rooms was a bit of a hike and only 1 of the 2 elevators was working (and front desk staff didn’t appear to be aware because they directed us to the broken elevator) We had no issues with this but I see how this could be an issue for someone older or with mobility issues.

Our flight was canceled, hotel was close to airport. Free shuttle to and from airport. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Shower was amazing, great water pressure!! Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were pump bottles in the shower, not the small complimentary bottles, so there was plenty. Bed was very comfortable and pillows were perfect for neck support.

Breakfast was not complimentary, $18.00 per person. It was a buffet with fruits, cereal, pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. You could also order an omelet if desired. The food was good just beware it's not included in the price of the room.

I was having a really crumby trip until I got to the hotel. In the middle of the night the front desk rep was kind and welcoming. Now the morning Front Desk Clerk Juan was the embodiment of customer service. At 8am in the morning I was greeted with out of this world Charisma and willingness to assist. I was never supposed to be in charlotte had a horrible time u til I came across these two employees who treated me above and beyond when no one was looking. Mind you I walked in looking homeless and was still given star treatment! And I got a warm cookie! I didn’t even no that was a thing! Great job guys. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Gricelia

Check in was smooth & ladies that checked us in were fantastic & very helpful with some of our requests.

Checked out at 4am & desk person not very personable. After we left the room card at desk & got the shuttle to airport. our daughter in law forgot her wedding dress in the closet, she took shuttle back but early morning guy would not let her in! Said it’s only a digital key. we did not have a digital key, we had a key card. Finally a woman came into work & she understood & let her in. All ended up ok but did not to be so difficult.

I didn't have breakfast because I had an early flight out. I especially want to praise the shuttle driver, Steve. He was attentive, kind, and prompt. I really enjoyed my conversation with him and he is a shining light for all! Jeff, the evening manager, was very helpful and kind when I was stuck at the Atlanta Airport on a ground stop and couldn't be at Double Tree to stay on my second reservation.

facilities were fine

They charged me twice for the room. When I pointed out to the rep that I paid on line, she said DoubleTree does not do business with Booking.com....which is false (they indeed charged booking.com directly when I paid...found out later). At the time the rep shrugged and said I'll just have to call Booking.com. This was a significant source of stress.

My flight was before the breakfast time. Have to leave before the start of breakfast.

The shuttle schedule, my flight was at 5:05Am. Front desk staff did not tell me that shuttle doesn’t start in the morning @ 4:00Am , until I got to check out. Have to 21.40 for cab. I think u should pay me my cab money back.

The hotel was quite close to a flight path (or at least one of the flight paths) and while that was a bit noisy when outside it was surpringly not noticeable when in my room. There was a reasonable gym and a small pool, but I didn't swim. It was a short walk 5-10 minute to some restaurants and a 7-11.

It was all OK.

The room was great, I however think for the money a breakfast would have been nice. I was disappointed to realize it was $20 a person

The room was very comfortable and the amenities were nice. The view out my window of the trees was so relaxing. Very pleasant stay.

Less salty food and ripe melon chunks would have been nice. Also, no one could give me directions to a simple nearby place. I couldn’t get the personal coffee maker to work,
