Location was great, facility was clean with a lot to offer families and couples. Rooms had everything you would need to feel at home.

We had the upper unit which requires you to walk 20 stairs up and down everytime your off and running, this is when difficult when you have knee issues, like I do. When checking in at 4pm we asked for a lower unit. The front desk staff said there was no availability with no house keeping to clean rooms that might of been available. She told us to come back in the morning ( which is inconvenient when you've hike 20 stsirs up with your things), she said maybe there would be something at that time again inconvenient. The facilities was not crowded at all, the bottom units were available for several days. I did not appreciate the attitude and excuss I was given, we were given the same attitude when checking out. Not the greatest way to start and end your stay.

We participated in so many activities!! We had a quiet family gathering, and my 20-something kid just couldn't stop dragging us to some of the art, painting, building, etc., activities at the resort. We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and paddle boats!! Our rooms were amazing. We had a suite with bedrooms, and it was odd, as it was two connected suites, so we had two kitchens, but I have no complaints there. There was lots of storage and plenty of space. We had a blast!

Sometimes, we could hear our neighbors below slam a door, but I think that was more the neighbors' fault than the resort's. Also, be aware that you're only allowed a certain number of vehicles per suite rental. They do offer overflow parking. We were sad that the large slide was closed, but we knew that before going.

Location was perfect. A touch of the “woods” feel but very close to the beach. The staff were all extremely helpful and nice. From the previous reviews, I knew the thin walls might be a problem so we took a fan for the bedroom and that drowned out the noise while sleeping. There is tons to do just at the resort itself! My kids didn’t want to leave!

A “semi” private parking lot for resort guests helped with getting to the beach; I say semi because there is a sign that the parking is for resort guests but the gate is gone so anyone can access it. Not sure is it says on the booking that the laundry room is actually shared with your neighbor but we stayed in the one bedroom and had to share. Not a deal-breaker but a little inconvenient. It is a little dated but still really nice! Cleanliness could have been a bit better but again, not a deal breaker.

We always come for the pool and the privacy. We also enjoy the lake with the turtles. This visit was a little less than what we had come to expect.

We love Beachwoods, however, this last trip was a little less than the stellar resort destination we have learned it to be. The Hot tub bleached out a bunch of peoples bathing suits, the Main water slide was closed with no re-opening noted, there was a baseball tournament local that brought MANY ballplayers/kids who in lieu of having the big waterslide to play on started playing in the children's splash area and were too rough for them. The arcade was closed for renovations on the floor. Then lastly, the activities we planned to attend were canceled at the time of the activities due to staffing from what we were told.

Very good location. A little dated on the outside, but inside was very clean and refreshed. A hidden gem in OBX!

Some noise from construction on other units early in the morning and the sales staff makes a few attempts to get you to attend a sales seminar about their vacation “club” (timeshare).

Great, clean, modern 1 bedroom apartment - quiet location. Is located behind the local Walmart but you'd never know it. Staff was very helpful - offered suggestions as to what was available at the hotel and recommended tours and restaurants. Lovely surroundings - big pond with fountain and deck chairs. The outdoor pool wasn't open yet for the season but the indoor pool/kids' pool/lazy river/hot tub/splash park were wonderful. This is a throw back to the resorts my family went to for a week every summer. I want to come back and bring the family and stay longer.

Everything was perfect wish we had more time.

This is my 2nd time staying here. I love everything about it. The condos are clean, and you have everything you need in the kitchen to cook. There are trash bags, dish soap, laundry soap for one wash, even shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and hand soap in the bathroom. I love the outdoor pool, the resort having it's own private parking lot for the beach. The staff are always kind and helpful. While we were there, we went ahead and booked for next year. Everything we come to obx, this is where we stay.

The slide to the indoor waterpark wasn't open, or the arcade.

The daily fee is charged to the room. It looks like for the most part it is a time share and then some guests like us come and pay the daily fee for internet and access to all facilities. It is very clean, quiet and comfortable.

The shower was broken and leaking water. We did not stay very long so we did not try to get it fixed, the staff were very attentive and friendly.

I did enjoy the space the room had for my young one to run around. The kitchen area was a perfect area. The indoor pool was very nice for the Rainey day

Even though the room was spacious, the bed in the main room was quite small. The room could’ve had a king size bed but was given one with a full bed. It wasn’t comfortable with my two kids who wanted to sleep with me and not on the pullout. The inside pool was nice but there was small pieces of concrete from pool floor all around.

We traveled with family. Enjoyed the extras, paddle boating, turtles, water park and being close to attractions and of course the beach nearby. Friendly staff. Our room was smaller than last time which was our only disappointment we are returning guests. Fitting for a weekend stay. Thank you for making our weekend stay special. 😎

Wish our room was the one bedroom deluxe with more room especially with active children sharp corners on furniture. We had requested the same room as our stay last year. It was not provided and the resort was not full. We paid more this yr with less space. I Looked at accommodations to compare from last yr and noticed the room we were in was half off what we paid. Only wish we had the larger room as our last stay. The deluxe room would have been more fitting as requested but not honored. That was the only disappointment. We didn’t complain as we dealt with it for the weekend. Maybe you could comp us another stay.
