This was the best property for the price in Wilmington during July. Was there to visit our son and get him moved into his senior year at UNCW townhouse. I had no car so I went back-and-forth to his place. In the meantime, I was as able to do a lot without a car. I could take a jog on the summer rest trail (1.5 miles round trip); take a bike from across the road over to groceries and Starbucks; do my shopping at Hannaford right in the same plaza. Go to any number of restaurants in the Lumina shopping plaza, right beside the Harris Teeter. Christina at the front desk was a wonderful customer service rep for Hampton Inn! She and the other staffers were the reason I stayed as long as I did. Caitlin (hope i remembered that right??)at the poolbar was wonderful; and everyone greeted me every morning with the smile.

My room had a window that didn’t close and I could hear loud music & groups at the pool until 10 PM - that’s when the pool closed. But I loved the location of the room on the first floor and further back, so that I could come and go and park easily.

Breakfast coffee was excellent! Bar in lobby was great !

Room 105 was too close to elevator...everytime the door opened it would chime ...all night ! Room was too close to housekeeping..getting their carts ready in AM very loud. Need signage on Rockwood Rd informing of hotel locations in business park...can't see from road. GPS says arrive at location but nowhere to be seen.

The room was well stocked and clean. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. The lobby is beautiful and well appointed, it has a bar available which is nice for those traveling who may want to sit and enjoy a drink with fellow travelers without going out, that’s a nice touch!

My only “complaint” is, for a higher star hotel, the sheets were not as comfortable as I expected them to be. They were not soft at all and smelled very highly of bleach. Also, the duvet was cheap feeling and uncomfortable. I’ve stayed in much lower star hotels with nicer sheets and duvets/bedding.

It wasn't too far from the beach about 15 minutes driving. The breakfast was great there was options of fruit, muffins, bagels, omelettes, sausage etc. The room was clean and comfortable.

The pool was closed for maintenance it would've been great for the kids to be able to use it especially since summer is just beginning and it's really hot out.

The food was good and the selection was great. The attendant was nice and very helpful. The set up was good with lots of room to enjoy the breakfast.

Leaving to soon. Next time we will add one or two more days. It was so nice to get the rest and comfort.

The lady that prepared breakfast was an absolute delight she was so nice. The breakfast was very delicious and filling. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. The a/c was great.

Only thing didn’t care for was room directly over the pool and kids were screaming it was not sound proof at all. Felt as if we were outside with them.

Pool and tiki bar was awesome. We stayed during the week and the vibe was laid back and family friendly. The breakfast and coffee is a bonus in the morning too!

Not much in walking distance. The steak house next door is a rip off for rich locals only.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great location for access to Wilmington and surrounding areas. Lovely pool and outdoor seating area. Genuinely would recommend to anyone!

Hands down the best experience was Christine the very sweet, kind, with amazing patience young lady that worked the front desk. She was truly amazing and apologetic, even though she had nothing to do with that. And Bar tender was good, drinks were on point.

First starts of with One of the beds had not been made, when we pulled back the comforter the sheets were crumbled and pulled to the end, the pillows literally still had the head print of whoever slept in it and hair on the sheets. The bathroom had also not been attended to once we compared it to the second room/ bathroom we were moved to, Second room just felt fresher. Breakfast? was beyond disappointing everything was uncovered and cold and we were extremely disturbed that the older woman working that area used no gloves and literally bare handed grabbed the last two omelets from one tray to transfer to the other. WHAT!!!! This was an interesting mouth dropping experience.

Only negative was our AC did not work. We check in July 4th, and it was hot, hot, hot outside. Once we got to our room, we quickly unpacked our gear, charging our various items to prepare for our scuba diving trip the next day. I noticed it was hot in the room, so I adjusted the wall thermostat and thought maybe it would just take a little time to cool down. An hour later, it was still 76 degrees. I called the front desk, and Ryan told me there wasn't much he could do at this point. Kudos to him for offering to switch us to a different room. But since we were unpacked and charging our equipment, we made the decision to stay in the hot room. Instead of repacking, moving to another room, then unpacking again. The room was a bit pricy, $300 a night, but it was a Holiday, so that probably explains the price hike.

Sorry - I got the likes and dislikes switched. Loved the pool. It was very refreshing considering our room was so warm. The hotel is located about a mile from the marina where we were to board our dive boat. It was close to the dive shop, Aquatic Safaris. Walking distance to the grocery store and several restaurants.
