The inn has the perfect location. Right in the heart of the town. The free parking is also a HUGE plus and the lots is a good size so I wasn’t worried about my car. The free breakfast in the morning is good to get the day started and you can fill up before heading out with bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurts, cheese, and hard boiled eggs. The rooms were very spacious. Bed was comfortable and pillows were good. Bathroom has good water pressure and the body towels were like soft fluffy clouds. There is also a roof deck that you can hang out on and have some drinks. I got some pizza and sodas and went up with my husband for an awesome night cap. The front is also filled with some of the nicest women who gave wonderful recommendations and overall were great to talk to. They also have fresh cookies in the lobby that made for a great treat anytime you walk through the front door. We will definitely be back here anytime we stay in the Newport.

We loved the size of our room number 12, which has a bedroom and an alcove with a day bed, a table and 2 chairs and a cupboard, that had the TV on top...fridge underneath and kettle to the side. We loved having an elevator. We loved that they had a very good continental breakfast including yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast bagels, muffins or raisin toast. They also had a lovely fruit cocktail, multiple cereals, pastries, peanut butter and jelly, cream cheese and so much more. They also have very good coffee and a wide variety of teas. If you call them directly, make sure that you're calling them and not some 3rd party pretending to be them. They will work with you on the rate; other 3rd parties won't. Loved the rooftop sitting deck. It's a great place for a glass of wine or a cup of tea and it has a lovely water view. We even saw a cruise ship. Just bring your own wine or tea:-). It's a great bonus area.

Historic building, with individually decorated rooms and a welcome change from bland corporate chains. The room was large and comfortable with a good shower and all very clean. It also had a fridge. Slightly sloping floors, but that wasn't a problem at all and added to the charm. The location was fantastic, right amongst the harbour shops and restaurants and with a decent sized car park at the back, but still quiet at night. The receptionist was really welcoming and friendly. It also has a rooftop terrace area which gives you a different view of the area and is well worth going up to at sunset.

Nothing really to note, breakfast is a relatively basic buffet but it is good to have something and it does include fresh fruit too.

Very lovely, quaint hotel. The long porch out front was great for watching people walk by. The room was very comfortable and the staff were always there to help. The breakfast offerings, various cheeses, deli sliced ham, bagels, Danish, fruit, various cereals and hard-boiled eggs was more than enough to get our days started. The hotel sits in the perfect location, everything is just a few minutes walk. Excellent restaurants and shops nearby. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

There was nothing we didn't like, but we did have an event(got stuck in the elevator!). Jennifer, the emergency contact, jumped into action, made sure I was OK, then got the Newport FD there right away to rescue me. She moved us to the 1st floor immediately after and presented us with a very generous gift card to one of the finer restaurants in Newport. We will definitely be back!

The room was quaint, clean and comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet given its location on busy Thames Street. The continental breakfast was exceptional and the breakfast room was sunny and cheerful. The Hot water was plentiful in a clean and modern bathroom. Rooftop deck was well appointed with tables and chairs. The view was beautiful. Parking was plentiful with many shady spots. Location was a short walk to all of our favorite Newport restaurants, the library and public tennis courts.

The shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and bar of soap left my skin feeling tacky. The shampoo lacked lather.

The inn is charming and conveniently located. Onsite parking is a huge plus because even in early spring parking in Newport is horrible. The only thing we recommend is that the owner replace the existing slat blinds with room darkening blinds. Our room faced the street and the back of the inn sign. The amount of light in the room made sleeping difficult. We were also concerned that the main entrance door was open to the street for anyone to wander in.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was super friendly , the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was the cherry on the top, all the products were the highest quality and fresh. I was celebrating my birthday during that weekend, My wife asked the staff to prepare something during our breakfast on Saturday and they brought a beautiful cupcake with a candle, they even sang happy birthday. Thank you so much for the attention and care. We will be back for sure.

Comfortable bed. Excellent location. Very nice breakfast.

It is an historic property, built in the mid nineteenth century. Walls are thin and street noise was very loud and went late into the night. Photos on Booking.com are deceptive—our room didn’t look anything like the photo at booking.

I loved the location. In the center of shopping and restaurants. Perfect for shopping and dropping off packages.

I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. Maybe that they ran out of cookies. It was a treat to end the day and know that a warm cookie was waiting for you! So those nights you missed out 😢

Breakfast with a predominance of carbohydrates ... bacon and breakfast sausage could slightly enrich the choice a modest selection of proteins, ialso welcome to be oatmeal or cream of wheat as a warm food
