The facilities. The staff. The proximity to downtown.
The door code did not work for my room. Staff helpful with alternative solution. The approach road to the property can be better for walking (under construction). The path to Whole Foods can be intimidating under the bridge. Better to do the shopping during daytime.

Apartment style property, with hotel feel! We had the split level studio and it was like a home away from home in the heart of Austin. Was super cute to have a bed up a separate spiral staircase and the kitchen was super handy It was modern, clean and very quiet despite the touching distance proximity to the city. I think this due to the building having long stay residents Really liked the pool area which is stocked with striped towels laid out on beds daily
Building work :( unfortunately there is intense building work on two sides of the property and our balcony looked out onto this (building demolitions and works over the river) Surprisingly didn’t hear it when sleeping (ie early morning) but obviously if you sit on the balcony it’s not a comfortable experience Imagine this will go on for 6 months to a year as an FYI

Great location to get to the main areas of the city. The room is a good size and has a full kitchen. The temperature control is easy to use and the Aircon not too loud. Overall a really comfy stay!
If you book the parking online it says it's $50 per night but if you ask for a parking permit in person it's $35+vat. Not sure why there's a difference in price. The housekeeping staff are REALLY quick to move in after you leave with suitcases. We were doing a couple of trips to the car and within a few minutes they had cleared our groceries and food for our day ahead and we didn't manage to get it all back. The hotel were very gracious and gave us some money back so that's all good, just be aware that they are very efficient at clearing out if your suitcases aren't present. The park nearby that our room had a view over is currently a building site. Not much the hotel can do about that but it's not the best view

Loved my stay! Felt like my own little apartment which was perfect for my stay. Lovely decor, great little kitchen, big bathroom, was perfect for my needs. 5 min walk to target and Whole foods as well. My room faced the courtyard which meant people can see in, not super bothersome for me and allowed nice view of pool and sounds of water fountain. Would’ve preferred a city / private view but all booked up
WiFi was poor but hotel promptly gave me another code once I mentioned something about it. Tub wasn’t draining when I arrived but lovely maintenance man Chris fixed immediately upon telling hotel. Fair amount of dust hiding behind bedside tables but otherwise super clean. Gym is subterranean so I preferred working out in room. Pool not heated

The location is excellent; it is a very walkable neighborhood with grocery stores and restaurants just a few minutes away. You don't really need a car to go from there to downtown. The apartment was very nice, definitely suitable for longer stays. It was also very quiet, and the staff were great. Last, but not least, it is quite an affordable place.
I felt totally safe in the neighborhood, even at night, but there are some camps nearby set up by a local homeless community, which might make someone less comfortable. But they are people like everybody else, and they did not bother anyone.

As a first timer it was a little confusing as to how everything worked. There is little to no street parking and I thought I had pre-payed for the garage so I drove down the ramp, but didn't have any instructions as to how to open the gate. I had to reverse up the ramp...which wasn't great. But I parked in a NO PARKING zone and walked in and the staff were incredibly helpful. I had, in fact, pre-paid for parking, but something went wrong with the transaction. The staff were able to quickly help me and I did not get a ticket while parked illegally. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe on the property. Passcodes are required for access to hallways, the garage, etc. I would definitely recommend to others and I will certainly stay there again myself.
Confusing initial instructions for a first timer. Once I knew the lay of the land..it was easy.

I stayed at Placemakr Downtown Austin with a friend after a work trip to explore the city, and overall, we had a great experience. The location is fantastic—close to the main streets and attractions, making it an easy and walkable base for getting around. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly kind, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was very spacious, and I really appreciated the thoughtful layout, with a clear separation between the bed and the living area. The small kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The balcony view was toward a construction site, but it wasn’t a major issue. One thing to note is that, like much of the city, the area has a visible homeless population, which can feel a bit unsettling at times. However, we still found it to be generally safe. Overall, a great stay with excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a prime location. Would definitely recommend!

good location, not too far from the main places to visit in Austin, close to convention center. Staff was exceptionnally friendly. Due to a short connection, I didn't get my luggage and they were able to reception it when it arrived in the middle of the night. I got a quiet appartment on the interior patio. The appartment itself had a separate bedroom. Kitchen ustensils were few but enough. Would have appreciate salt and sugar. There was tea & coffee.
that you receive the code to enter the apartment on your mobile. Fortunately, the reception staff send it to me by email, as I don't have active mobile network in US. And that this code was too long and difficult to remember. Hot water in the shower was sometimes not enough. There was a plate in the kitchen that was put back in the cupboard without cleaning.

Very friendly staff and very helpful. Location was close to downtown and Rainey which was fun. But also being so close to the freeway was a bit sketchy with lots of homeless. But they never bothered us
The 7 digit passcode to use the elevator everytime was a headache. I rode up and down multiple times past my floor if you couldn't enter it fast enough. Also, the very limited streaming TV. No way to just watch a local TV channel. I don't want to log into all my own streaming accounts just to watch tv. had to leave and find a place to watch the NFL playoffs when i just wanted to relax in my room

Loved my temporary home for a week in Austin. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable modern studio apartment with wonderful view from balcony. Was nice to have a kitchen even though not doing any major cooking. Great location.....easy walking to places around town. Whole Foods and Target just a few minutes walk away under the freeway. Rainey St with many restaurants also close by.
I did think that all the delivered packages stacked near the front door in the lobby did hurt the ambiance of the place.....
