The breakfast was very good, not as varied as I would like but good, the room was very comfortable and cozy.

Not all the staff was so friendly, we had problems getting in and it was the first time we were staying at the hotel, we didn't know we needed an access card and instead of helping us open the door, they only saw us from the front desk and we were waiting for someone to open the door for us, one of the guests opened it for us. Other people were very friendly and accessible, no problem at all, I understand that not all of us are in a good mood and it is valid but I think it was very obvious that we were arriving because of all the luggage we had and obviously we had no idea how to manage the entrance or exit of the hotel.

The staff were really friendly and helpful...nothing was too much trouble for them. Although we didn't use it in the end, the use of a shuttle bus was helpful. Breakfast was a lovely selection in a bright cheery room and the free access to the computers in the lobby was fantastic when trying to sort our flights out. Being on Main Street was great for access to the metro system. Would happily stay there again.

The parking wasn't free but I don't know how that compares to other central hotels. The lack of a bar was a shame. It might have been a nice end to a day with a drink if you didn't want to wander the streets in the dark but I guess that's why they offer the shuttle.

Room was comfortable and clean. Wifi was strong and the hotel was quiet despite being downtown.

We will try to get the same room next time, and there will be a next time. It was a good size, with the bedroom and bathroom in a separate room. The bed was comfortable and just everything was great. I have no complaints here. We didn't have to utilize the breakfast this time, I chose to sleep in instead. I look forward to the next visit.

The parking garage is kind of a nightmare, especially if you drive a large vehicle. But we managed. I was able to locate one ice machine at the far end of the hall we were at, which made it inconvenient.

The room was exactly what we needed for work having a separate living room it made it seem more professional and clients did not see our beds and stuff that we loved.

We asked for a late check out and it was given the only bad thing was that we were in meeting and housekeeping kept trying to go in and knocking to see about check out at 11. they went at 10:45, 11,15, 11, 45 and 12,15. i know the times because we had to pause notes. that is why i gave 9 instead of 10. i dont know if it was just housekeeping or front desk did not communicate with them but it was annoying.

The property was very well maintained, with an excellent shuttle service to local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was reasonably stocked with cereals, fruit and cooked foods. The staff went above and beyond to help with recommendations to local restaurants and things to do in the area. The rooms were spacious and clean. Only thing I would suggest would be to advertise the gym across the road to guests. I only found out about this on my second to last day so didn't have time to check it out.

Holiday Inn Houston IHG checked ALL of our boxes then some! When we first arrived, we had to be buzzed in. To go in, you have to use your room key, regardless of the hour. Nice security touch! Once we got in, amazing Joshua checked us in seamlessly, and made us feel super welcome! After we got in our immaculate, spacious, inviting room, we got a personal text from Joshua making sure everything was indeed okay. My husband also spoke about the front desk representatives David and Tim who were very helpful in assisting him with the shuttle. Mr. Melvin and Mr. Lester were lifesavers! We had a teenager and 20 year old with us. The way the King Suite is situated, you can completely close off the bedroom from the sofa bed/kitchen area. This was soooo nice for the girls and us! I had THE BEST bubble bath in the tub after contending with the flight/airport. The bathroom amenities are plentiful and nice. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. We hate we didn't get the name of our housekeeper because she was PHENOMENAL! Please give the employee for 503 our sincere gratitude for making our room spotless from the beginning of our stay until the end. Speaking of the end, our flight was canceled TWICE! The hotel manager and Ushi turned a potentially devastating event, into a simple formality. Ushi was very patient and walked us through how to make sure we were booked not once but twice and we are very grateful for her! Thank you so much Holiday Inn Houston IHG for making our Texas trip a success! May more people be as blessed as we all were by staying at your hotel.

The location of this hotel is right at an intersection and super close to the tramway. Parking can be on-site for a fee which helps if surface parking or parking lots are not available. The room was very clean and spacious. There was enough work area at the desk to get some stuff done. Breakfast was good even with the renovation of the restaurant.

The lobby was ice cold. Maybe those Houston days that are really hot necessitate this. However, it was really cold.

Miriam in the breakfast area is the most amazing human. The MALE front desk staff are amazing and very helpful and courteous. They were attentive, respectful, helpful, gave us directions about the shuttle service at the hotel which takes you anywhere and picks you up anywhere within a one mile radius i guess. there is a beautiful cafe called Mademoiselle Louise right across the street, yummiest cafe . the tram passes on the same street, but i am not sure where it can and cannot get you. it makes a little noise but it is not a big deal. Rooms are spacious and clean and bed and pillows are SUPER comfortable. the coffee in the breakfast area is really good if you are there for work/an event, most of downtown hotels are within a walking distance, there is a big CVS about 12 min walk, but that is probably the closest convenience store if you need anything other than snacks, which you can buy in the lobby

Monique at the front desk can be a little nicer on the phone and in person. would have definitely appreciated a little more variety at breakfast, but it was not bad airport shuttle would be nice downtown houston is EMPTY. if you are not there for a specific purpose such as work within close proximity, there is no point staying there at all. apart from some murals and grafitti to see on the streets, there is absolutely nothing to see unless you drive over 30 minutes away

Can easily walk into Downtown and there is a shuttle if needed. Breakfast had lots of options. Coffee machine in room. Very clean. Secure building. Most staff were very friendly.

We arrived for Happy Hour that was advertised on the tv, plus in the lift, only to be told in no uncertain terms that there wasn’t a happy hour and to return to the same place in the morning for breakfast if we wanted food! This person was very rude and this was no fault of ours.
