Nice room, comfortable bed. The breakfast could have been better — it lacked variety both on the first and second day.Another advantage is that the hotel is centrally located. If you're here for business or just want to explore the city — Downtown Houston in particular — the location is excellent. There's also a barbecue place nearby, , where you can grab a good local meal. Definitely a convenient spot for getting around. We also took a sightseeing tour on a double-decker bus, which let us ride around and see the main attractions of the city. The bus stop was within walking distance from the hotel, which made it very convenient. In just one day, we managed to see all the key sights around Houston and even made it out to the Space Center afterwards. Overall, we had a great time!

I would improve the breakfast. I really missed having bacon or sausages. On the first day, the only hot option was meat patties, and on the second day — again, meat patties, even though the label said "sausages." Usually, there’s some rotation — one day patties, another day sausages — but that variety was missing. I really think a bit more variety would make a big difference. As for the room — well, it’s a common issue in many hotels — the windows didn’t open, so there wasn’t much fresh air. Although, to be fair, in Houston at this time of year, opening windows isn’t really an option anyway, because of the heat. So overall, it was fine. We’ve been waiting quite a long time for the deposit refund.

The staff were most accommodating and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The shuttle drivers were professional and genuinely friendly, and engaged in conversation easily. They got me to the convention center and back promptly and made every trip a pleasure.

Using refillable soap and shampoo dispensers is a good first step toward sustainability, but I always cringe when I see those insidious coffee pods and other single use plastics. There are better ways to provide coffee that are as easy and more environmentally conscious. The property provided breakfast, but the dining facility was not open for lunch or dinner. Perhaps this was only temporary, but the dust on unused bar fixtures and menus suggested that it has not been open for some time. My lunches and dinners were at eateries next to the convention center, but I can imagine that not having an on-site restaurant would be a problem for many guests.

The staff were really friendly and helpful...nothing was too much trouble for them. Although we didn't use it in the end, the use of a shuttle bus was helpful. Breakfast was a lovely selection in a bright cheery room and the free access to the computers in the lobby was fantastic when trying to sort our flights out. Being on Main Street was great for access to the metro system. Would happily stay there again.

The parking wasn't free but I don't know how that compares to other central hotels. The lack of a bar was a shame. It might have been a nice end to a day with a drink if you didn't want to wander the streets in the dark but I guess that's why they offer the shuttle.

The breakfast was very good, not as varied as I would like but good, the room was very comfortable and cozy.

Not all the staff was so friendly, we had problems getting in and it was the first time we were staying at the hotel, we didn't know we needed an access card and instead of helping us open the door, they only saw us from the front desk and we were waiting for someone to open the door for us, one of the guests opened it for us. Other people were very friendly and accessible, no problem at all, I understand that not all of us are in a good mood and it is valid but I think it was very obvious that we were arriving because of all the luggage we had and obviously we had no idea how to manage the entrance or exit of the hotel.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—very close to the metro station, which made getting around the city easy and convenient. The room was comfortable and clean, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were particularly supportive and friendly, especially David and Miriam, who went out of their way to assist with anything I needed. The breakfast was also good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We will try to get the same room next time, and there will be a next time. It was a good size, with the bedroom and bathroom in a separate room. The bed was comfortable and just everything was great. I have no complaints here. We didn't have to utilize the breakfast this time, I chose to sleep in instead. I look forward to the next visit.

The parking garage is kind of a nightmare, especially if you drive a large vehicle. But we managed. I was able to locate one ice machine at the far end of the hall we were at, which made it inconvenient.

The room was exactly what we needed for work having a separate living room it made it seem more professional and clients did not see our beds and stuff that we loved.

We asked for a late check out and it was given the only bad thing was that we were in meeting and housekeeping kept trying to go in and knocking to see about check out at 11. they went at 10:45, 11,15, 11, 45 and 12,15. i know the times because we had to pause notes. that is why i gave 9 instead of 10. i dont know if it was just housekeeping or front desk did not communicate with them but it was annoying.

The property was very well maintained, with an excellent shuttle service to local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was reasonably stocked with cereals, fruit and cooked foods. The staff went above and beyond to help with recommendations to local restaurants and things to do in the area. The rooms were spacious and clean. Only thing I would suggest would be to advertise the gym across the road to guests. I only found out about this on my second to last day so didn't have time to check it out.

Holiday Inn Houston IHG checked ALL of our boxes then some! When we first arrived, we had to be buzzed in. To go in, you have to use your room key, regardless of the hour. Nice security touch! Once we got in, amazing Joshua checked us in seamlessly, and made us feel super welcome! After we got in our immaculate, spacious, inviting room, we got a personal text from Joshua making sure everything was indeed okay. My husband also spoke about the front desk representatives David and Tim who were very helpful in assisting him with the shuttle. Mr. Melvin and Mr. Lester were lifesavers! We had a teenager and 20 year old with us. The way the King Suite is situated, you can completely close off the bedroom from the sofa bed/kitchen area. This was soooo nice for the girls and us! I had THE BEST bubble bath in the tub after contending with the flight/airport. The bathroom amenities are plentiful and nice. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. We hate we didn't get the name of our housekeeper because she was PHENOMENAL! Please give the employee for 503 our sincere gratitude for making our room spotless from the beginning of our stay until the end. Speaking of the end, our flight was canceled TWICE! The hotel manager and Ushi turned a potentially devastating event, into a simple formality. Ushi was very patient and walked us through how to make sure we were booked not once but twice and we are very grateful for her! Thank you so much Holiday Inn Houston IHG for making our Texas trip a success! May more people be as blessed as we all were by staying at your hotel.

We didn't like that we didn't get the associate's name who prepared and maintained room 503 because she was Amazing!
