the maintenance person, chris, was professional, neat and speedy in the task he was doing in our room with replacing the light. the front staff was polite and professional.

we would have preferred not having to run the dishwasher once checked in.the pervious guest didn't wash the dishes nor did the staff check behind that guest when flipping the room for my check in.also the amount of noise on the floor above us, rude kids asking alot of noise. the bathrooms were pretty clean, could use a little more attention.

The location allowed easy access to shopping,dining , and especially historic sites. Staff was friendly and helpful especially the assistant general manager, Tapree Turner. Ms. Turner provided locations for dining as well shopping. She provided items that were missing from my room. Breakfast had choices and food was hot and tasty.

I had made a late reservation and I was assigned a handicap room which was spacious, doorways were wide and a wheelchair could be used in the shower. I am not handicapped but my younger brother uses a wheelchair. I usually check sites for him. The shower head would not have worked for him. It was too high for him as he only has 1 leg and he could not have reached it. Also the location of the dishes (above microwave) we’re not reachable for someone in a wheelchair and only 1 leg.

You need to have an age requirement on the website. Personally I am 18 and traveled for the Cody Johnson concert and arrived and didn’t accept me because I wasn’t 21. This was a major shock as in the past i’ve traveled and stayed at hotels and they didn’t care about age. I was lucky because my brother was in the area but if this happen to someone on different circumstances then it would mess anyone’s plans up.

Suites are spacious, with kitchenette, and extra sofa bed. Pillows and linens are soft and clean. Breakfast is the best I've had in a while, with waffle, pancake, and hot oatmeal stations, scrambled eggs, sausage, skillet potatoes, etc. There's even a taco station with salsa, cheese, and chopped green onions. The kitchen lady is always checking to replenish.

Front desk man/lady is sometimes absent for too long. Wanted to inform them of a loose table that needed tightening, but they were nowhere to be found, even after ringing bell for a while.

The reception when I arrived was warm, friendly, personable and professional. It only took a few minutes, and since I had been traveling most of the night, I needed to get some sleep. The room was quiet, clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with plenty of towels and other bath accessories. I also liked that the hotel is right across the street from Barracks Road Shopping Center.

The breakfast was a little light on options.

The mattress on the bed I personally slept in!, 2 bedrooms, 3 tvs, kitchenette, 2 full bathrooms, fireplace, Keurig, separate living area.

People above us were EXTREMELY loud! Needs better sound insulation between floors. Poor water pressure and toilets are hard to flush properly. Bathrooms were in need of some updating. Better choice of tv channels and larger tvs.

I had recently had hip surgery and requested an Assessable room. We got a two bedroom suite, with a living room and kitchenette, and three TVs. It was a great room.

It would have been nice if the complimentary breakfast was open until 10 am. We got to breakfast at 8:45 am and I felt a little rushed and in the way of staff trying to clean up and put stuff away.

Room set up ,friendly check in

I was talking off guard when my door room was entered by staff. I couldn't even enjoy the rest of my stay thinking someone was going to burst in my room. And i still don't understand why that happened, Very strange and unprofessional. It was not my check out day and it was after 1 o'clock , and was told they thought i checked out that day. Did not sit well with me at all.

Our team was there for a tournament. Having a restful night and having everything go as smoothly as possible were important. Sonesta offered that. Staff was accommodating and helpful. The rooms were clean and in perfect condition. Breakfast was fine. It's an easy walk to shops/eateries at Barrack. We could even walk to main part of UVA campus (which was a plus when the roads were blocked for an event).

We could here noises from other rooms -- although very minor.

Breakfast was better than expected...better than similar presentations at comparable hotels.

We were not made aware of a $100 additional fee temporarily added to our credit card. The $100s was dropped from our account within three days following checkout.
