Excellent location, walking distance to the White House and the National Mall as well as other museums and restaurants. Easy access to public transportation. The area is VERY well served by buses and is an easy walking distance from two metro stations. Our room was very spacious, quiet and had a very comfortable bed. It had a Lavazza espresso machine with pods (similar to Nespresso) that we absolutely loved!
Housekeeping service was very inconsistent. Sometimes we had missing towels or dish soap, no water glasses, etc. We lost a white t-shirt that probably got scooped up with the bed linen and never found. Lobby service was also not the most helpful, e.g., no help getting a shower cap (why is that not standard toiletries?) or change so we could tip the staff. Also not particularly helpful with answering questions. My other main pet-peeve is the facility fee of $34.76. What is that for? We couldn't even get a tea bag from the lobby and you're charging us a hefty daily fee? That is usually only seen in resorts with tons of amenities.

Location was neither too much central nor too much far from the centre of the city area. Some guest might find the rooms rather "old", but I, having lived in London, UK for several years, found the room something familiar! Frankly speaking I enjoyed spending 4nights in Beacon.
In the morning of the 3rd day, there was water leakage from the celing in the bathroom. Though it did NOT happen again during my stay, worse water leak my happen.

The hotel is in a great location. There are plenty of nice restaurants and bars within a short 15-minute walk. Also, the main tourist attractions are not too far away and can be reached on foot if one doesn't mind roaming around. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom needs renovating, but at least the water was hot and the shower had nice pressure. Daily coffee and water were nice touches.
The room was not particularly bright, even when the lamps/ lights were on. Also, I had some issues regulating the air conditioning (partly because I am more familiar with Celsius degrees). Some choices (see location of the TV and "closet" IN the bathroom) were a bit odd.

Great location within walking distance from the epic Washington DC sites. Also near to lots of bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Closest metro station is a 10 minute walk. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are large, spacious and clean - we (booked two deluxe double doubles).
There was nothing really to dislike however a couple of minor points where that the hotel decor is a little tired and dated but the space you get inside the rooms counters this. No refrigerators in some of the rooms (deluxe is the basic room!) however they can be requested on a first come first served basis which was great.

The room was very clean and spacious. Really nice and the pillows were so comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was very friendly as well as helpful.
That there was an additional cost for parking and it wasn't a small fee. As a paying guest it should be free of charge especially in a city where there is no parking.

The hotel room was quite good size-wise for two persons, the bed was comfy and big enough for two friends to sleep beneath each other. Bathroom has been great, except for the slightly dripping sink of our bathtub. Upon report to the hotel reception, they wanted to look into it. It didn't bother us too much, as we closed the bathroom door at night. The nearest metro station is about 12 minute walk away, Farragut West.
The windows are not really sound-proof against noise from outside. It always sounded as if the window was halfway open. It's not been too bad though. Also maybe two separate blankets in the double bed would've been better, we didn't ask for a second one though as we sorted it out ourselves.

The hotel was in the perfect location, close to DuPont Circle. The staff was excellent from the welcoming, Diane Contreras was so sweet and helpful. Always the rest of the employees in the concierge including their manager were so nice, friendly and ready to help. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and beautiful. The housekeeper was always very attentive and ready to please you with anything you needed. I would recommend this hotel for a good stay in Washington DC. Thanks a lot.
No complaints.

The room was really spacious and overall clean and comfortable, good for 3 people staying 4 days, the air conditioner was weird it was not responding well to adapt to the temperature we wanted, coffee machine was great, there were always enough towels and toiletries provided ... at the beginning not enough water was given but from the second day on i
I was having a fever one day and really needed help with a cup of hot water and one of the ladies in the reception was not really prompt to help or provide the correct information, another guy when I came back helped me out!! but I would say in the reception we did experience good treatment and terrible treatment... the ones that did a good job, great!!! but the other ones, terrible!!! =( service needs to improve, that is what you are there for!

The hotel was centrally located within walking distance to a good number of restaurants, store entertainment places. The room was clean, and the place was quiet. The housekeeping ladies were great very friendly and upbeat and whenever I saw them in the hallway they would ask if we needed anything. They kept the area very clean.
The front staff was friendly but did not go above and beyond in any way. The staff did not inform us of any extra's deals they may have in connection with tours, spas or anything about the city. I had read thru the reviews, so I was aware of the hidden fees and that the hotel was an older one.

Dated but functional. Walking distance to the trains at DuPont circle, Farrugot North and Farrugot West. Walking distance to The White House and longer walk to the Mall. I also walked to George Town which is quite far. The hotel room was spacious with basic amenities like coffee and water. The carpet is really old and for those with allergies it might be a concern. The bathroom is dated but the toiletries were good. A mini fridge would be a good addition to the room.
