We really liked the location. Very close to some fun restaurant, CVS and the Metro. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Jazz the manager was really great to deal with. The struggles we had were nothing compared to to the comfort and attentiveness of this hotel.

The airco didn’t work and after it was “fixed” it still wasn’t super cool in the room. We had a power outage that forced us to leave the hotel because the room was unbearably hot. We returned by noon time and there still wasn’t electricity to we went downtown. We came back at night and the power was back but the airco did not work. The rooftop pool was very small and hard to get out of. The last step was way too large.

The art Gallery was a beautiful lil treat, bed was so comfortable we sleep through 2 nights of plans and weren’t mad at all, 12 PM checkout time is a blessing and a lifesaver I hope y’all never change it, Eli at the front was mad welcoming and transparent about parking: explained the price for valet and also let me know that there is often street parking which saved me $210 in parking for the UHaul van we used to get down here. Complimentary coffee was a great way to start my day, the ambiance in the hotel was exactly what we needed for an anniversary trip. Next time we’re in DC we know where to go

Pool was great and quiet !! Location by metro trains and busses was great. Staff were helpful. Great food in the bar was good value. Close to many cafes and restaurants. Rooms were large and cleaned daily. Tv connected to my phone. Was good for a solo stay for 6 nights. Safe area and lime bikes all over the streets to use. Bar was fun and pool was a great location on rooftop. Amazing clean hotel. Snack bar and office facilities like printer. Didn't use games room downstairs.

They took money from my credit card without asking

I recently stayed at a Marriott and was truly impressed by the outstanding service I received. As a Marriott member, I already had high expectations — but the staff went above and beyond to make my stay special. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly hospitable. One of the team members even helped carry my luggage to the lobby without me asking — a small gesture, but it really made me feel cared for. Their kindness and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. I also appreciated the late check-out, which made my departure much more relaxed. It’s those thoughtful touches that make all the difference. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!

The only downside to my stay was the elevator situation. The elevators were quite slow and often crowded, which made getting to and from my room a bit frustrating at times. I do wish there were more working elevators to better handle the flow of guests.

I loved everything about The Ven, especially the staff! I initially booked a three-night stay but ended up extending it to two weeks. The location is perfect, nestled among beautiful embassy buildings and just a five-minute walk from the Dupont Circle metro station. Front Office Manager Julie was incredible—she truly made me feel at home and well cared for. Jin and Ryan at the front desk were also exceptionally helpful. Having stayed at hotels around the world, I can confidently say I have never encountered such a friendly and welcoming staff. My room was fantastic—spotlessly clean, with a lovely street view. The Ven truly became my home away from home, and I will always stay there whenever I visit DC!

Nothing!

Comfortable, clean, very close to Metro, seemed safe, pool had great view and was amazing in the mid July heat of DC, free book, library, bar, restaurant, play room, exercise facility, tea room. Sleek modern look. Great smelling toiletries. Totally functional bathroom facilities. Glasses of water available on main level. Cookies and lemonade that was fresh tasting in afternoon.

Pillows were too lumpy and thick. I didn’t ask for a change out but could have. One travel companion liked the pillows. Sleek look meant little storage space for clothes. More places to hang towels would’ve been helpful.

My room faced north so I had a lovely view of Kalorama. The cleaning staff refreshed my room every day which was nice because a couple times I brought meals up to the room to watch the news.

While the menu at Fred & Stilla's was very nice, I ate four meals there and did not like that I had to order at the counter rather than order with a menu in front of me at my table. That seemed too fast food-like for a 4-star hotel.

Fantastic location. So many great places to eat nearby, at reasonable prices. Easy walk to the Metro. We were there for sightseeing, and this was a perfect spot. Hotel is nice, the breakfast was very good. Quiet despite the location in a fairly busy area. The staff were excellent, and helped us with directions and dinner recommendations. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The beds were small. We booked a room with 2 double beds for 2 adults and 1 child. My wife and I are both average to thin build, and near average height, and we could not comfortably share a bed. At 5‘11“, my feet were hanging off the end. We got the room we booked, so no false advertising or bait and switch. I think we saw double room and were expecting 2 queens, because this configuration is pretty standard in hotels these days. Just pay attention when booking if you’re large or tall.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, our room was beautiful and clean , and the food was great! This hotel couldn't have been at a better location. With many places in walking distance and even a huge food and organic produce market open on Sundays I believe until 3:00.

The only area I feel could use some work is their rooftop pool area. That wasn't very clean. There were cigar and alcohol trash laying around and it wasn't kept up very well

I liked the breakfast included in my stay, the spacious room, coffee machine , locker and refrigerator in the room, and the quality of towels were good. The gin space was satisfactory. Also the location of the hotel, a quiet and very friendly location.

I did not like the curtains of the rooms, they are not on the same level as the hotel. It is an item that needs replacement asap.
