The location is great. We got a room with a view and the view was spectacular. We liked the fact that it was about three or four blocks from the wharf but still a bit off the beaten path; walking distance to everything!
I would not say this is a fancy property, but you would have to pay twice as much for that privilege – and I don't know if you'd get as sweet a staff as works here. We looked at a few rooms before we decided on the one with the view. Hands-down, this is the room to get.

We were in town for an 80s themed birthday party so the retro decor was perfect. The room was clean and smelled good, and we had all the amenities we expected.
The grout in the bathroom raised questions. The black color was inconsistent on the walls and the floor, and was not a good choice for projecting a feeling of cleanliness. Fortunately the room did appear well cleaned so we weren't too concerned.

The purpose for the trip was a little stressful and the woman at the desk when we checked in was extremely kind, courteous & helpful, just the sweetest person. She upgraded us to a very private room with a beautiful view, covered parking. We would definitely stay there again. The view was fabulous and it was close to many wonderful places to explore.
Toilet malfunctioned the last night, but, that happens in the best of places.

Great location! It's an older motel & the rooms are small & nothing fancy. But! They have kept the rooms very clean & well maintained & the bed's are comfortable. This last trip, they let us store our things in their garage because we were there early & even moved it all into our room when it was ready & let us check in early. The staff were so friendly & went out of their way to be helpful. We have stayed here over several years when catching the ferry to Canada & will keep doing so.

We requested a top floor that faces the marina. It was perfect!! More than we expected!! Even standing at the "entrance" of our room was a spectacular view of the mountains behind us. Super friendly staff, great continental breakfast, walking distance to all the shops, restaurants "AND" the ferry.
There was absolutely nothing I DIDN'T like about this property. Clean, close, and friendly!

We spent only one night as we took the ferry to Victoria BC the following day. The location was good: close to ferry, walkable to Safeway store and coffee shops, rooms were very clean and had everything we needed, free breakfast was provided and the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The view was fantastic and room big. Staff very nice and could walk to restaurants. Bed comfortable.
Room and bathroom a bit older, but the size and view made up for that. Breakfast basic: cereal, yogurt, waffles, hard boiled eggs, coffee, milk. Maybe not big selection, but certainly good enough and much better than nothing.

The room was very clean and organized, with a clean washroom equipped with nice toiletries, a hair dryer, a coffee machine, and a small fridge. It is very close to the downtown restaurants and marina. Breakfast was great too. There is free Wi-Fi and ample parking. The lovely mountain view is a bonus. What else could you ask for?

The rooms were very clean and staff was so friendly. We left something in our room and they were kind enough to put It outside on our car for us to grab when we returned from lunch! Never had a hotel do that before.
There was an odd smell in the outside of the hotel, but the room itself was very clean. Also didn't love that the blinds didn't close all the way so there was a really bright floodlight beaming into our room.

Clean, convenient, helpful staff, furniture in good condition.
Minor things: Unable to work the timer in the bathroom, without which no light. Curtain only partly blocked the bright light from the parking area. Door to elevator room is extremely hard to open.
