Hanoi Old Quarter is typically bustling during the day, but I was pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and quiet my room was. It offered a perfect retreat from the city's energy. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly accommodating and eager to help, offering insightful tips on how to make the most of your time and budget while exploring the city. For solo travelers, this place is especially convenient. They can assist with booking local tours and arranging transportation such as taxis or e-bikes. Craving a food adventure? Just ask, and they’ll gladly recommend great spots to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine. A truly wonderful stay—five stars all the way!

The hotel is beautifully and cleverly designed: our room was small but very pleasant because of the good design and amazing view of the lake. The staff were attentive and we had breakfast in our room each morning (thank you!). Everything was clean and functioned well. Our entire experience within the hotel was excellent, above and beyond!

This is no fault of the hotel, but the Old Quarter was not for us – it's extremely over-touristed with young hostel-party and adventure types, souvenir shops and massage parlors, beer restaurants serving hamburgers, etc. While the area has interesting architecture and history, it was almost impossible to engage with it. And though it's very central, because of the congestion (tourists & motorbikes & cars on tiny roads), what should have been easy 5-minute walks were almost always stressful 15-minute battles. Again, the hotel was pristine, but just to give other travelers a heads up about the experience of this location.

The location is great, IF you want to be in the middle of the Old Town, close to Beer Street and all the noise that entails. The staff is amazing and so kind! Hotel does not have a restaurant, but staff will fix a pretty decent basic breakfast for you and there are hundreds of eating places all around you.

Rooms are super small. Owner is supposedly an artist, but should not be designing hotel rooms. I was first put in a room that was so small, I had no place to put my suitcase. Stayed there for one night and was offered a slightly bigger room for the remaining nights. My bathroom mirror was 8 inches wide and maybe 36 inches long. Lighting was awful, but the fixture was pretty cool looking. The location is very noisy, but perfect if you want to be in the middle of Old Town. Hotel is at the end of an alley and next taxis cannot get to it. You have to meet anyone picking you up at the entrance to the alley.

Very trendy hotel with beautiful architecture - I was very pleased walking into my room. Great lighting with a window facing the narrow street. Staff were pleasant. Central location in Old Town.

Due to the room design, I could easily hear the people in the room above (especially from the shower and toilet area), and I presume they could hear the same. Also if the blinds by the sink & bathroom were not shut (even then they still had gaps), then other guests in the lobby could see in.

I loved this hotel i found the room and lobby had a lot of charm and were super cosy, perfect for a few night stay! the location was incredible i had no idea how central it was but at the same time tucked in an alley way gave us quietness. the man at reception morning and nice was so sweet i thoroughly enjoyed seeing him and having a small chat when i entered or exited the hotel, as i felt comfortable and safe. also a great thing was that our rooms had air con which was so nice to come back to from the humid days out and while sleeping!!

i liked that we had the option to get our rooms cleaned, however our beds were never made only towels changed. i didn’t need new bedsheets but just enjoy when the beds are made better than when i do it.

Staff is friendly and speak perfect English. They also helped book a driver to go to the airport, very good price, cheaper than on Grab. Very clean, good value for money. Good location, quiet street (even if it’s in a busy area) Only stayed 1 night, but I think they have good books available and local artists featured.

The rooms are a bit dark (missing some lighting especially in bathroom/shower). There was no toilet paper and no shampoo (only body wash). When in room you can hear people from other rooms or maybe from lobby talking (I was on the 1st floor). The neighborhood is a bit hectic at night compared to some other areas, but it’s a convenient location and you don’t hear the noise from your room so it’s ok.

CoCon House exceeded our expectations in many ways, The staff were professional in every way and went the extra mile to please - Friendly and welcoming - great amenities with a modern twist to the building design that allowed for privacy. The location was perfect and close to all you could desire from the Old Quater with everything within walking distance. We began our holiday here and loved it so much we returned for our last 4 days - Value - comfort - Quality.

Nil - Perfect the way it is.

This hotel is in a great location for tourists, especially first-time visitors to Hanoi. Despite its central location, it was surprisingly quiet in my 6th floor, city view room. The room was spacious, given the urban location, the room was Clean and everything in our room worked. Breakfast was amzing the staff were extremely professional, accommodating and friendly. Especially the lady at the travel desk, very friendly and willing to help, giving you useful information when you need it. I highly recommend booking airport transfers, trips through the hotel as the prices are very reasonable.

The location is perfect if you want to explore the old town by foot. The staff is really welcoming and here to help in a very natural way. If you want an espresso or if you want to know more about areas you can explore just ask them and they will happily assist (at least that's what thy did for me!) The lobby has a nice homey atmosphere and you have plenty of options for a cheap but tasty lunch or diner around.

The room had no real window (just narrow glass panels with no view) and it was smaller than I thought but at this price point I can't complain all the more that I spent most of my time exploring the surroundings. My first night was quite noisy as it was saturday night and the streets where animated but the next one was a lot more quiet.

Our room exceeded our expectations, the bed was extremely comfortable, great lighting (not too bright) and the large rain shower was much appreciated. I have no idea how this place manages to be as quiet and tranquil as it is despite being in the middle of the old quarter. The room also had comfy slippers, though they only fit women (too small for men’s feet). Location couldn’t have been more perfect, staff were nice and watched over our luggage as we explored the city on our first day, elevator functioned great for our 7th floor room.

Nothing, we loved everything about it!
