The service was exceptional. They really go above and beyond and respond to requests nicely. I love the way the rooms were laid out. The shower gel provided smells amazing, the beds were comfortable. The location is very central, being surrounded by spas, food, coffee and markets.

The hot water. Unfortunately we stayed at the wrong day as it suddenly got colder. There was limited hot water -- you had to run it for sometime (10 mins) to allow the heat to start coming through, but the pressure would remain weak. I know it's not fully the hotel's fault and they tried to resolve it for me, luckily we only stayed for 2 nights. The staff excellent customer service was so high, we all tried to see pass the issue.

Location was super central in the old quarter, comfortable and clean rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Helping organise tours and providing good recommendations.

The room was tidy, organised and stocked with all sorts of different items. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very quiet even though we were in the middle of the Old Quarter! The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. They kept our expensive bike on their property to ensure safety which was a very kind gesture! The buffet breakfast was great! All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

We booked the room for one main reason.. The bath! However, it didn't work correctly. There was not enough hot water to even cover the feet, as well as a faulty drain that allowed all the water to escape quicker. So it wasn't possible to use it at all which was a major disappointment. Another noticed lacking feature was that the aircon was slightly broken which affected its use. Also, absolutely no view. The bedroom and living room look straight onto a bland wall. Other than these issues, it was a very pleasant stay.

Central location, worth the money

Anyone who put your card in booking.com should be careful, I only use my card to book the room then my credit card has been scammed, they took all money in my account, it happend to my friends too, it is really shame when Booking is the big website but not trustworthy . I am so disappointed and never use my card to book the room through Booking.com, I just want to warn everyone.

Situated right in the middle of Hanoi Old Town, the Media Central is an attractive hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. The elevator services all rooms but the breakfast room and rooftop bar are up one or two flights of stairs. Breakfast is not copious but more than adequate. The rooms are well designed and furnished, bed was comfortable too. Good bathroom, shower, etc. The foyer is comfortable and cool, unlike many others in Vietnam. A real oasis after battling the Hanoi heat. The spa is well priced and the staff are experienced and very good. All the staff at this hotel seem to be very happy and enjoying their job. It is a delightful happy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

No city view as promised from room 205.

Excellent location in the middle of the old quarter. Staff was extremely friendly and had some good food suggestions. Room was very spacious and clean. The massage I booked in the hotel was excellent, my back felt better than it had in months!

Very clean, the front smelt really good. The bathroom set up was very good. My HK Dad said even it was set up like a 5 star hotel, even though it was a budget hotel. All it’s missing was a gym and a slightly bigger reception, it definitely can be! Dad thought it was very worth the value, and enjoyed the bath tub! The breakfast buffet was enjoyable - especially the banana pancake, which you can order from kitchen. The street and location was amazing - right next door is The Met pho restaurant which provides amazing vegetarian/IBS options for me, but also meat/seafood for my parents! Nhan, the lady boss who owns the hotel (3/4 months old) was super nice to us, upgraded my parents’ room for free (but in return, kindly reminded us to write a good review which I would of anyway) and even gave us extra water bottles when we left for our flight. She also allowed us to leave the luggage in the reception after we checked out, since our flight was only 8:30pm. Congratulations Nhan! You did such an amazing job with your hotel business, and I wish you every success despite only staying for one night. I definitely will come stay again, next time I’m in Hanoi!

Not many windows, but that’s given in all hotels of Hanoi. And if there was a window, it would be too noisy. Some of the walls are a tiny bit run down, but again it’s given in a budget hotel in Hanoi.

Great location, friendly stuff, good place to stay

The room with „window“ is close to a room without window. We had a room, which was facing into the inner courtyard of the hotel. Daylight was barley seeable.

Customer Service -Nancy was incredible and such an asset to the hotel. We have travelled extensively throughout the world and her customer service was above & beyond anything we have ever experienced. She reached out prior to our visit to assist with anything we needed AND reached out after we left to ensure we got home safe! Never in my lifetime has any company checked we got home safe and sound -this is next level service! An experience we will never forget, thanks Nancy!

It was a great property in a fantastic location-could have had a little more on the breakfast options.

The media was in a great location, the staff was knowledgeable and helped where ever they could. To the point I felt spoiled. Miss Helen bent over backwards to accommodate us us and booked us into the excursions we wanted at prices we couldn’t get ourselves and even on excursions we felt we were treated special because of her. Miss Ling gives the very best of massages and spa treatments. Miss Ling’s massages puts any other massage I’ve had in my country to shame. I felt like a new person. Miss Ann goes above and beyond her call of duty. The staff is friendly and beyond helpful. I can’t express how happy we were that we picked this hotel for our stay in Hanoi. The breakfast were great as well. I love their Vietnamese coffee!
