I am a return guest and will stay again on my next Hanoi trip. It is a small hotel in the heart of the old quarter. On arrival you are greeted by a big smiling welcome. The rooms are nice and clean and have a super comfy bed. The brekky is a great way to start the day. A special mention to Mike and Chloe....love your work 😁

The location is also ideal, with many popular attractions within walking distance. Breakfast satisfying, with a good range of options. Overall, The West Hotel & Spa is a good choice for its comfort, location, and especially its outstanding staff who make every guest feel truly cared for.

One area for improvement would be the room cleaning schedule — guests would benefit from more timely housekeeping to ensure everything stays fresh throughout the stay. The Bed is a bit hard but did not disturb our sleep much

The hotel was in a prime location at the Old Quarter. It is 5 minutes walk to the heart and centre of all the actions such as Ho Kiem Lake and the famous Note Coffee house. The night market is also right outside the hotel. What made our stay enjoyable was the warm welcome from the staff especially Leo. Apart from being so friendly, we were very impressed with his attentiveness and professionalism. He exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to made our stay comfortable. Thank you again, Leo. You are amazing!

Great location, lovely breakfast, very comfortable and amazing staff. Really enjoyed our stay @ The West Hotel and Spa. Special shout out to Chloe and Lyn at Reception who are so professional and were so amazing in looking after our every need. They were a highlight of our stay. Mike the manager was in contact directly after our booking and ensured we were taken care of from the moment we landed at the airport to check out. We have already rebooked for three nights prior to leaving Vietnam. Great time, amazing staff and looking forward to staying again very soon 😃

The helpfulness and excellent customer service of the staff, especially Travis who went out of his way to help me resolve a credit card billing issue with a merchant. He even called the merchant to seek clarification on my behalf. He also recommended a few restaurants nearby for our dinner which turned out to serve excellent food. Chloe and another guy (didn't get his name) at the reception were very helpful too. Location was excellent as it was close to everything. We were lucky that there was a night market selling crafts, food and souvenirs right in front of the hotel on the Sunday we were staying there. The train station is about 800m away.

On our first night, we stayed on the 6th floor. The water pressure for the shower was very low and showering was very slow. We were subsequently given another room on the 4th floor after our return from a night's start at Halong Bay. The second was much better. There's no space in the bathroom to place our toiletries. This seems to be the problem with all the Hanoi hotels that we stayed in. Breakfast was meh. Better to skip the breakfast and eat at the one of the many eateries nearby.

This property is in an exceptional location, right in the Old Quarter and you step outside the door on a Fri or Sat night right into the market. The staff were exceptional and could not do enough to help. The owner organised all of our trip details for Ha long Bay and the cruise was brilliant. Whilst there I fell ill with a bug and the staff were so helpful and caring. We had our laundry done there and it was returned to our room whilst we were out for the day. On our last day we had to leave early for the airport but they let us have an early breakfast and even packed some sandwiches for us to take to the airport.

Service wise, we'd say that West Hotel and Spa never failed us. Sir Mike and Ms. Chloe, as well as their crews were attentive to their guests' needs. For the location, it's easy to find and is situated at the heart of old quarter. You can reach some tourists spot, cafés, and restaurants by foot. Also, the night market which happen from Friday to Sunday is near the hotel. But it's not that noisy during that time. As for the family room where we stayed at was clean, spacious, and well-equiped. Not to mention the early check-in and early check-out process were smooth. We'll definitely book the hotel again if we come back to Hanoi.

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Old Quarter - surrounded by shopping, restaurants and very close to the markets. The room was very comfortable, the bed large with nice linens and the bathroom clean and bright. The desk staff in the lobby were so gracious and friendly and they served us a welcome drink when we arrived as we got checked in which we appreciated as we were hot and travel weary. The breakfast was nice, several continental type options as well as cooked selections, both Western (eggs) and Vietnamese (Pho).

We didn’t have an outside window in our room, however, we were aware about this when we booked. I had a passing hesitation about whether we should upgrade to a room with a view (and another exit). We ended up just going with it as first reserved and honestly - we learned that’s not unusual for the budget we were trying to stay in, for inner City hotel rooms in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Can report that for the amount of time we actually spent in the room, was a total non problem, the hotel more than made up for this in other ways and it left more budget to spend on activities/shopping/dining.

Chloe the Manageress was an excellent hostess. Her recommendations for restaurants were very good she even booked one of them for us. She also printed off important documents for us, and booked transport to the airport. Their system for refilling glass water bottles for our rooms was very good and saved on plastic. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast was very good.

Unfortunately there was traffic noise - but that is because of the location. Also, the local tannoy system, giving announcements was opposite our hotel- but this only operated twice a day for 10 minutes each.

Wonderful location, central to everything. We were in the middle of Old Quarter and right by the Hoan Kiem lake (3min walk) so all the lively festivities were within walking distance from us, if not right outside the building. On the weekend, there's a night market too that was happening right outside in front of the hotel. With all that, and we stayed here the night that Vietnam won their soccer match against Thailand so everybody was celebrating on the streets, so you'd think it'd be too noisy to sleep. But our room was pretty quiet and we didn't have any noise issue! It was actually really fun seeing the locals celebrating. Our room was really nice and clean, with good use of space. The property has an elevator which was great for moving all of our luggage in and out. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious (really recommend trying the egg rolls). They even had pho as well if you ask. Overall, an exceptional stay and we'd definitely stay here again next time we visit Ha Noi!
