I stayed in a 16 bedroom dorm it was little crowded and stuffy, 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets to share, then moved to 6 bedroom dorm, it was better. bed was soft, maybe too soft for some people, rooms are cleaned regularly, friendly staff, good location, one thing I didn't see mentioned in the reviews was the big tchoutchou train that nearly misses the hotel. there were few trains going by late at night and couple more in the morning

The location and staff are really good. Dorms are also comfortable and air conditioned rooms with balcony view.

They don’t provide free water and also you’ve to pay to rent a towel.

Good location, you can do everything walking, many options around for food, shopping, tourist spots. Beds are comfortable, with curtains, good privacy.

We struggle a little bit in the check in cause the receptionist doesn't speak English, so was a little bit difficult to communicate with him. Also the showers are not good, starts hot and gets colder after 2 minutes, and the weather was freezing when we stayed there, so we needed a hot shower.

I saw some bad reviews, but when I actually experienced it, I was very satisfied. The room is clean and comfortable with a soft mattress. The hostel is located in the center of the old town so it is very convenient for going out, shopping, and eating. David staff is friendly and helps us as much as possible. Especially The price is more reasonable than other hostels I've stayed in. I will definitely come back and choose Ha Noi Eastern Gate Hostel

the facilities is more than my expectation. It's really modern and comfortable. There's a balcony with the view of the railway. The location is also a good point as being Pho Co area, so I don't have to spend a lot on travel expenses. I have a praise on staffs, they allowed us to sit in the common room when waiting to the fly hour. Thanks a lot.

It was a bit noisy cause I had to live with other people but I think that is avoidable. I think the hostel should provide shampoo, towel,... as other places. To be honest, I don't have any criticization.

Good for a quick stop for two or three days. The staff very nice, they save me a bed and allow me to so the check-in at 7am, I really appreciate that!

The restaurant and common area that appear on the announcement, are from previous years. They remove all that. So, please, take the pictures 🙂.

It’s a great time to me, If you love quiet, this hostel is the choice for you. Spacious and quiet space is a plus. Great location and good vibe. Especially I can see the train pass by my room which is so cool. The staff also very helpful and friendly. They helped me booked a tour to Ha Long Bay and Ninh Bình. So far so good. You can bring any thing food drink and seat down side lobby . Staff good , owner good he allowed early check-in and delay check out without extra money.

everything was clean and the staff was extra nice! i left today and came back after a few hours to pick up my backpack and as my bus was running late and it was like 35 degrees, they let me stay for a while inside the hostel to relax and not die unnder the heat. I was not a costumer anymore but they didnt care and they treated me really nice! thanks so much, the least i can do is leave a great review! this hostel is great!!!
