Very central location close to old town Hanoi and easy walking distance to all the attractions- Train street and the old town and lake. Communication with the management was excellent- Ms Diep contacted me directly via WhatsApp prior to arrival to let us know if we needed any assistance we could contact her directly. We booked an airport transfer for our early morning arrival into Hanoi (at 1am) and the driver then also messaged me with his exact location was waiting when we came through arrivals. No payment needed immediately, we paid for the taxi room and other services (laundry) the night before checking out- credit card accepted (3% cc charge is standard in Vietnam) the room itself was spacious and clean (we booked a bigger room with balcony) with good air conditioning and WiFi. Huge bed, good shower with very hot water. We didn’t get the room cleaned every day as we didn’t feel it was necessary but when we did the room was cleaned well and bedding and towels changed. Staff were excellent throughout especially the young ladies on reception. Staff- 10/10.

Not really a complaint but traffic noise could be an issue for some- to be expected on a busy street in a busy city. There may be quieter rooms towards the back of the hotel.

The room that we had booked was very small and had no ventilation, but we were able to pay extra and upgrade to the deluxe room which was spacious and had a balcony too. The staff were super helpful with the upgrade as well as guiding us for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. Really appreciated the fresh fruits and Continental breakfast options as we are not used to Vietnamese foods. The location was the best part, right in the heart of Hanoi Old Quarters so we could easily experience the street food, the night life, the night markets.. the overall vibe was great. The tours picked us up right from the hotel too.

The main thing I didn't like was that there were two rats running in the corridor near the reception when we got back late (around 10 p.m.) one night.

The location is amazing, there are so many restaurants and cafes in walking distance. The train street is 10 minutes away from the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially Ms. Kim. We ended up extending our stay for one more night and Kim arranged everything even though the hotel was fully booked. She also arranged our bus tickets to Sa Pa and made sure everything went smoothly. She gave amazing recommendations about nearby restaurants and places to visit. We enjoyed our stay a lot, big thanks to Ms. Kim.

The room was a bit small, and there was no window, but it was comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the Old Quarter, near Hoan Kiem Lake and all the places worth visiting in the city. Hotel staff were very helpful with our requests as well, and even booked us a motorcycle and pointed us to worthwhile places to visit. Very friendly staff and front desk and rooms were very clean. We stayed for three days and they even offered us an upgrade once the rooms were available although we didnt needed upgrading as the room we first stayed in was fine.

As soon as you arrive at the hotel, you can see the friendly welcome and the rush to serve you. The services and rooms were very nice. The hotel was a very important issue for me to have a very nice holiday experience. I would like to thank all the employees, I hope to see you again.

Thank you so much to all staff at Starlight who helped me enjoy my short time thoroughly in the old quarter. Especially Diep & Bich who took great care of me and made me feel very safe and welcomed. I received 5 star service. My room was very clean and functional. I recommend room 601 with the balcony! A special thing to wake up and enjoy coffee and yoga on the rooftop before another day of walking. I will return and visit this hotel again.

Heart , Mai, Nam, Loi - Very Warm staff, rooms small but very clean. Very comfortable stay. In old quarter near all attractions.

Needs a Fan as the AC becomes very cold and need a few hooks in the washroom to hang clothes, needs glasses for drinking water.

The women were really nice especially the one on reception who booked us our trip to ha long bay.

The breakfast. The guys who’s were running it were sat on there phones and chatting eventhough lots needed restocking. One day I asked for more bread and he didn’t really acknowledge me just spoke to me while he was still on his phone. They also weren’t cleaning the tables.

It was in the old quarter, so super accessible to everything, many local food spots and was walking distance to most things on my list. The room was nice and peaceful, the staff are lovely and super helpful! Would definitely stay here again! Very happy!
