Ms. Lily, Ms. Mint and Mr. Bong made our stay extra special. Actually all the staff did including the woman manning the breakfast buffet and the staff at reception. They gave us directions to the money changer and arranged an airport taxi for our return trip. They even packed breakfast for our early morning flight to Manila. The rooms are very clean, Netflix and aircon worked great. Good selection for breakfast buffet. Keypad is within walking distance from other attractions and in the midst of the frenetic highly charged but delightful Hanoi daily life. Some attractions like St. Joseph Cathedral and Hoan Kiem Lake are a bit farther but one can walk. The trees on the roadside shield you from the hot sun. I would stay here again.

There’s nothing I didn’t like

Really spacious room, comfy bed and clean bathroom! Perfect location, close to Hoan Kiem Lake, food, night markets, restaurants and bars. Shuttle buses for day trips or transfers can pick you up directly from the hotel lobby. The staff here were all amazing, working hard to make sure we had a great time

Everything was amazing. We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. The room were comfy and we surely would love to come back again. The location is at the heart of Old Quarter and very accessible by grab. The staff (Kelly) was super friendly and she helped out alot!

Nothing that i dislike.

1. Staff are really friendly and helpful. I could not have asked for more from them. An absolute joy 2. They allowed me to store the luggage at the hotel on check out and also when i went on an overnight cruise at Ha Long Bay 3. The bed is the most comfortable one of all the hotels i have stayed in Vietnam over 2 weeks 4. there is a lift and also a porter to help with luggage 5. wifi and AC was good 6. spacious room and quite quiet 7. really good location and i was able to walk everywhere in the Old Quarter

The below points are just me being picky. You will see i have still given a 9/10 overall as these are all minor points and didn't affect my overall experience that much: 1. The bathroom looked a bit old in places (e.g the bathtub) 2. as others have mentioned, no natural light. However, it does say in the booking that the view is an inner courtyard so can't complain as it is clear from the outset 3. there was only green teabags. Would be good if there was black tea and milk 4. 3% surcharge if you want to use a credit card to pay

Convenient location in a quiet street with many local shop. Suitable for tourists. Room is cozy, clean, big bathtub. Smart TV with youtube and netflix to enjoy stay.

Stay on 3rd floor and the wifi is not stable, cannot connect when in toilet, and even in bedroom, wifi keep log in and log out. The light is quite dark, internal window doesn’t help much. Smell control system in bathroom needs to improve

The hotel is very nice and clean, the room was very spacious. The breakfast was really good with many options of Vietnamese cuisine but also European, lot of fruits and vegetables and fresh juice. The staff was very nice and helpful. We booked overnight stay at Ha Long bay cruise through the hotel for a good price, got airport taxi and the hotel provides service of washing clothes beside other. They were very helpful and prompt also when I left my passport at the hotel and needed it delivered to the airport. The area is in the Old Quarters, so the streets are quite busy during the day and the evening, but we got good sleep anyway. A lot of good restaurants and shops nearby. Very pleasant stay.

Truly thankful that I chose Keypad Hotel. It became my sanctuary and a place of rest. I came here during Têt and I couldn't wait to go back. Bed and pillows were remarkably soft. They have different options of food for breakfast. Smart TV came with instructions both in Vietnamese and English, laundry was quick, clean room and bedding, has iron and other essentials for a comfortable stay. Lily and Ruby (receptionists), the cook, the man who helped me with my tub and the younger gentleman who opened the door with a gentle smile, the woman who cleaned my room; these people made my stay here worth remembering, just pure kindness you get from them and they smile so much it could make your day! They enjoy talking to guests and are very friendly. The lady who makes breakfast allowed me to pack my food and on top of that she gave me her chopsticks. I found it difficult to leave and was torn between staying a day more or catching my flight. It was like leaving a family who treated me very well, and that I wouldn't see them again until my next stay.

I didn't like that I had to leave already!

Great location, great staff, everything you need for a stay.

Was noisy some of the time, but cannot be helped, it's in the middle of old quarter!

I enjoyed how clean the property was and the helpful staff allowing us to check out before dawn. They even had some local snacks to try!

There is no cable TV (watching international TV is lots of fun in other countries) and the wifi is very unstable.

If you are looking in a budget and want bang for your buck, look no further than Hotel Keypad at 24 Hang Ga street. The location is excellent and at the centre of old quarter with all major tourist attractions in Hanoi within walking distance. Room is adequately sized for two, with wardrobe, decent toilet, Netflix, workstation, electronic safe and mini bar. Near to innumerable cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants and you will be spoilt for choice. Motor Bike too is available at a nominal fee. Property is good and provides more than the charges. The help desk team Ms Lily, Ms Hoang Ly and Mr. Manh are awesome are always approachable and solves all problems and makes you feel at home. The help desk people are always ready to help and go that extra mile in solving the problems. Our helmets for the got drenched in the rain. Manh and Hoang Ly provided their helmets in exchange for the wet ones! Breakfast was great with choices from atleast 03 meat dishes, (sausages, fish cakes, ham) with Beef or Chicken Pho, fresh cut fruits, cereal and local Vietnamese dishes, bread, yoghurt, eggs to order, pancakes, coffee, juice and tea. The lady chef at the breakfast was almost mom like and made sure that we were fed well each day and insisted on trying different things. Overall a nice team behind the hotel which made our stay memorable. Thanks to the team. Highly recommended this hotel for its excellent location as well as service.
