It was clean, nice room , in old quarter so plenty of places to eat and see within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous, you could even order from the menu as well as different options available already.

On arrival I asked where I could get a sim card and a staff member took me on his scooter to a place where I paid way more than I should have. ( Realised after doing some homework later on) A scam. Was not happy and when I questioned the guy he suddenly cldn't understand English. So be warned. Find your own sim, plenty of shops selling them close by or get one from the airport. Not cool a staff member is doing this to tourist's.

The hotel is very nice. When we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed. There was a staff to carry our luggage for us. And we were welcomed with fruits and drinks. And the receptionist introduced us to a map of Hanoi. And introduced us to the Halongbay and Ninh Binh tour. We booked a tour to Halongbay and Ninh Binh at the hotel. And the tour was very good. We booked a deluxe room with a window, they gave me a nice honeymoon room with a balcony. We thank the hotel. Hanoi Phoenix Palace Hotel. It helped us have a really happy vacation. We will introduce my friends to stay at this hotel. And we will come back to stay at this hotel many more times.

The location of the hotel is superb. Staff were very friendly. They packed us breakfast twice when we had to leave very early in the morning. Rooms were small and needs refurbishment. House keeping was good and the bathroom towels were changed every day. There were no coffee powder in the room. Only tea bags were given. Breakfast was ok and gets over very fast!!! Overall we had a very pleasant stay here

We used this hotel as our base to explore Hanoi and different places in the North of Vietnam (leaving our heavy luggage here while on tour for 2 or 3 days away from town): extremely convenient hotel to discover the centre and all the attractions of this vibrant city and its surroundings. It provides the perfect atmosphere to rest after a long day in town. The staff is warm and helpful with information, tour and taxi reservations etc… Highly recommendable!

The hotel is located in the old section of the city but it is a great location. With shops and attractions nearby. The building is older so expect some issues. We had a burned bulb in our nightstand lamp (fixed). The TV had snow on all channels, not very enjoyable (not fixed). Had one issue with wifi but generally worked. Had a window but no real view just back of some building. Don't expect hand towel or a second pillow etc. The breakfast is adequate but hoped for more veggies, perhaps some pastry and orange juice, bacon more often. We had a taxi mix up at the airport etc. Having said all that I had to give them high ratings because the staff was friendly, helpful and bent over backwards to make us feel at home. Laundry practically next door with under 24 hour turn around at a cheap price. All and all a good value for $100 for 4 nights. Booking's some $476.00 or something was ridiculous for this property. Also booking.com wasn't helpful despite calling them twice!

A few things but as I mentioned it at the price we finally booked it was a deal! It is not a A25 property (where we stayed prior at 35 percent higher price.)

Breakfast was delicious and a big hit with the kids. We loved the size of the room as well; there aren't many places in Hanoi that have big enough spaces to accommodate a family, and the space was very generous with enough beds for 5. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, and the location was in right in the heart of the Old Quarter.

The room closest to the street was pretty noisy throughout the night and in the morning. It made it difficult for the children to stay sleeping.

We spent 8 nights with 4 years old. It was a one bedroom queen size room, it was so small for the three of us. So I asked for an upgrade, and they gave us a free upgrade to the family room with two bedrooms. We were so grateful for that. The staff are so nice and helpful, especially Anna. She speaks English very well and so friendly and nice. The location is also so strategic, which is near to all the main tourist attractions. All by foot distance. We chose this place because we didn't want to stress out by taking any transportation.

The building is old, it was overall clean. But we found some cockroaches during our stay, which was not fun.

Location was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Air con and fan worked well to keep things cool. The breakfast was good.

It was all good. Breakfast can get a little crowded as guests from the other hotels in their group use Phoenix Palace for breakfast. 8am seems to be the peak time but they serve between 7-10 so you can easily avoid the peak time.

Staff were very nice , especially Anna. Location was central to attractions & my room was comfortable. Anna could tell I wasn't really very comfortable staying in hanoi as im not a fan of big city kinda stuff so suggested I go away for a few days. She booked my bus/ferry to cat ba for me & kept my suit case @ th hotel so I wouldn't hav to lug it around. Amazing service , when Anna realised I was back she was so happy tht I'd unwound & had a good time. Thanx to all the staff but especially Anna.

Good location, friendly staff, good breakfast options, and super fast service, too. Clean room, the one we had had a small balcony, so that added to the charm. During our stay, 2 of the kids had birthdays, and the staff arranged for 2 complimentary cakes and fruit platters. We didn't even ask for it. It was really nice and sweet of them.

In the room, only the tea option was available, but at breakfast, they had amazing coffee... Apart from that, this hotel gets a 👍 from me.
