Great location - within walking distance to many places including Train Street and Lake, weekend night market. Friendly staff at reception and doormen were very polite and welcoming. Nice to have a refreshing drink upon check in . Room was well furnished and clean , shower pressure good , room size good for the twin room . Mattress firm and 2 pillows per person 1 firm and 1 softer . Air conditioning was excellent. Linen used clean and white . Had Selection of English channels on TV - Got a staff member to tune tv . Breakfast was simple but adequate. Overall good find !

No indication on booking.com about surcharge of 3% for card payment - please add this important information. I was taken aback as when booked it said all charges accounted for. Rooftop pool is small - not worth a visit . Rooftop seating very limited. Shower door seal not as tight so water leaked out . When I booked my room it said it had lounge access - this is false information . There is no lounge or facilities for use . Breakfast room one staff member coughing ++ , no mask on . Would not recommend the spa - staff there were talking to each other throughout our massage . Not calming or relaxing at all . At the end of session one staff asked for tip even before payment.

The breakfast was good with both Continental and Vietnamese dishes and a lot of fresh fruit. Very comfortable bed

The bathroom only had a tub with a manuel shower and no protection from the water so the floor got very wet. Could be fixed with a shower curtain.

The hotel is so conveniently located. It is just perfect to find various restaurants, shops and tour operators.

We stayed in a family and its bathroom was not really good.

Very central to everything in the old quarter. We were able to walk to all sites we wanted to see. Staff were excellent and very helpful. They had an excellent service booking manager Hana who was a great help in organising tours. Breakfast was Very good.

We enjoyed the pool area the first few days but unfortunately it did not cope with a lot of people becoming milky towards the end of our stay and not inviting to swim in. Be warned if you have a room with a large double bed, the shower over the bath is very tricky to manage without getting the whole bathroom wet. Only twin bed rooms have a separate shower, no bath.

The hotel is in a great location in the centre of the Old Quarter, close to shops and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and big. We had a seating area, a king size bed and lots of space. The staff were great, friendly, always smiling and helpful and helped us order taxis and work out where to go for a walk we wanted to do.

The breakfast was not great, the selection was limited and its very cramped, hard to get to things on the buffet when busy. The bathtub was missing a shower curtain and the angle of the shower means that the bathroom floor gets soaked. Neither things were a huge issue, and would not stop me from staying again, but spreading out the buffet and changing the angle of the showers would be an improvement

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were so friendly, and spoke amazing English. Mila was so quick to help us, and she was so informative of places to eat or see. She even helped us with our activities which were not organised through the hotel. It was close distance to all the main attractions, we felt like we were in the heart of it! The pool was also a lovely treat after such a hot day!

The bath tub / shower can be a little slippery & hard to get out of! We didn’t mind so much, so it wasn’t too much of a hassle. I do think it could be risky for others though. It’s also not fixed to the ground. The spa downstairs was a bit unprofessional. We were sure to ask what the service entailed, only to find out half way through that we would have to pay additional for Gel polish so we didn’t end up getting the full service done that we thought we had paid for. Maybe an English barrier thing, but we weren’t impressed by the spa area at all - especially considering how amazing & professional the rest of the hotel was.

Great location! Everything we wanted to do was walking distance but it was far enough away from the beer street that it wasn’t noisy at night. Breakfast was ok, just standard with a few Vietnamese options too. Pool was good too, small but does the trick. Staff were fantastic, looked after us from start to finish and set up something nice for our honeymoon.

Only issue was the shower, it was a shower head above an open bathtub, it was impossible to shower without getting everything soaked or holding the shower head the entire time. Paid to get my hair washed instead of dealing with it… otherwise everything so fine. Just an FYI for others

The hotel is located in central Hanoi near the old quarter which is perfect since this is well connected to all the major amenities. Hang Dau (Or the famous shopper's paradise is just a 5-minute walk along with the scenic red river which is just 500 metres away. 10/10 for location. The room was very spacious. We got upgraded to a larger room at the same price which was a bonus but even the standard rooms are spacious enough which is great considering this is right in the middle of the busiest part of the city where space is a constraint. However, the view from the room is not much and overlooks neighboring building unless you take a room at higher floor. The swimming pool isn't much to speak of. Think of a slightly large bath-tub and that's the swimming pool, however it was clean and well maintained. Breakfast spread for non-vegetarians is great (with English breakfast buffet) but vegetarian options are very limited (just 1-2 main dishes apart from desserts). The staff were very courteous and always eager to help. We had a great experience with Silk Queen and would highly recommend it. Pro : If you book any day tours from Hanoi, then choose this hotel because you'll get free pick-up and drop from here. All tour operators provided free pic-up and drop service to this hotel. Con : Not really a con for me, but since the market is nearby weekends can be quite busy and filled with traffic but this was a positive for us and gave us a chance to experience the hustle and bustle of the city and witness the frenzy up close.

Breakfast options for vegetarians could have been better. Most of the plug points in our room has some loose contact and/or were non-functional. Not sure if this was specific to our room. Would recommend choosing a higher floor (floor 6 or above) if you want to have a view of any kind from your room.

The staff at this hotel were genuinely friendly and polite and always there to help with commendable english and communication skills. We had a generously sized room for 2 adults and a tall child. Hotel details about the number of beds and that they could do a double and Queen/King size bed was one critical factor in deciding on this hotel. Pen and scales in room didn't work but they provided a few unexpected extras, I.e toothbrushes and house shoes/ thongs. The breakfast cooks were open to learning how to cook poached eggs, a family favourite. The breakfast buffet was very limited for space and included many different cuisines however mostly average due to this factor. Overall, this hotel was fairly priced and the staff were very engaged and responsive to guests needs.

Very minor but I missed having a face washer and would have been good if we were able to borrow a plug adaptor. As is the case with most hotels more hooks to hang our towels in the bathroom would have been beneficial.

Excellent location making to easy to walk around the Old Quarter. Staff were very friendly, helpful & professional, speaking good English. The room was a good size and very quiet, with a comfortable bed & pillows. The roof top pool was a nice space just to sit for a while, even if it was too cold for a swim. All amenities were provided and it met the description & photos

Buffet breakfast was a bit ordinary - had an egg station but they just gave the cooked dishes to anyone who showed up, unless you stayed there & claimed your order!
