The room was fantastic, very spacious and with furniture, hangers and racks to organize things - considering we stayed for 4 nights. The bathroom was spacious, with shower in bathtub with curtain - so the space wouldn't get all wet after a shower. Useful complimentary toiletries. We asked for extra blankets (it was winter) and we got them no problem. Staff was very attentive, specially the women in the evenings. They arranged our taxi to the airport. They allowed us to combine cash and credit cards when checking out, which was convenient to use the Vietnamese dollars we had left before leaving the country. A few short blocks away from Hoan Kiem lake, supermarket 1 block away.

Location is excellent as walking distance to many restaurants and services. Staff is most pleasant. The room was a good size and serviced daily. Air con does not blow directly onto tbe bed. Plenty of storage.

Balcony is filled up with air con units, which is common in a lot of the older buildings. Floor was very dusty to a point. My feet were black in no time at all. The noise from outside could be loud, and the windows and balcony doors are not double glazed.Bath leaked the water from when you showered, by design. Strange.

We stayed at Lucky Central Hotel four times within 17 days. We went on 3 trips from 1-4 nights during our stay and they always stored our luggage for free, a huge benefit to us. We chose the “Deluxe Double room” and got #303 twice, and then #402. Since we are not smokers, we ended up in a room that the previous guests smoked. They changed us immediately to another room. Then for the last 2 nights we chose the “Deluxe Twin room” but ended up getting #201 an upgrade. This room was much bigger and had a separate living room. The hotel is a bit outdated, and the rooms are dark. However, the hotel was in an excellent location in the middle of the old Quarter and about 5 minutes’ walk from Hoàn Kiếm Lake. We loved walking the 1 mile around the lake. Negatives: The Deluxe room with a queen-size bed was very small. Also,it was dark as the window was small too.

It’s in the center of the city , very easy to go anywhere , to take a coffee ☕️ to visit puppets show , many cafes around , lake is close ! Room was clean , shower is hot , have water bottles , the stuff of hotel is very responding. Air conditioner is working well . I only stayed one night before going back to my home country. So all was good. To check Hanoi I think it’s great location.

Amazing location in Old Quarter. The room was surprisingly quiet (we were at the back), large, good air conditioning and the beds firm but comfortable. As long you realise it is an old property with dated bathrooms, hence the low price, you will appreciate it is great value for money. They also did our laundry for a good price.

The shower is over the bath so it’s slippery getting in and out.

Lucky Hotel though centrally located, the rooms are very silent. The owners are always smiling and very, very helpful. The market area is around the hotel, so no need to spend on travelling. Most of the tourist spots are walkable. The superior rooms are huge and have a palatial feel...antique furniture, rarely found these days.

It would have been nice if they had a Washing machine and Dryer, but they were kind enough to take our clothes and give it outside to wash. But then... the owner, Ms.Zoom went out of the way, to help us with our laundry.

The couple who run this hotel are incredible. They are so unbelievably kind and work such long hours. It is clear they really care about the hotel and their customers. I felt very safe and comfortable here. The balcony was extremely spacious and cute, the AC worked great. There was maid service everyday. Overall very great stay and the staff really made you feel like it was a home away from home. When I was rushing to get my stuff together to check out, one of the maids told me not to rush even though I was a few minutes after the check out time and then helped me double check my room to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything.

The shower sprayed water out of the tub which made a bit of a mess but this was fairly minor. I just felt bad for the maids that it seemed like we were being messy.

I like the quaint look of the hotel. It’s very affordable (booked the executive suite 3 nights for only around $130) and the location is right at the center of the old quarter. Everything is within walking distance. The room is also very spacious and quiet at night. The mattress is hard but surprisingly when you lie down, it still feels comfortable, maybe the soft pillow makes up for it. It has a hairdryer, bidet and fridge too. Super worth the price. This is actually a replacement hotel that I booked at the last minute since the hotel that I originally booked told me 2 days before the trip that they had to cancel my reservation. I’m so grateful to Lucky Hotel.

The rooms are not very luxurious but very spacious for Hanoi and contain everything you need. The best things about this hotel are its very central location, without the street noise, and the extremely helpful, smiling and friendly staff. I recommend it for a few nights in Hanoi!

I couldn't find out how to get breakfast at the hotel. It would also be useful to have "clean" and "don't clean now" signs.
