The location is perfect to walk around to nearby attraction and city center. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly..really appreciate it.

The room is smaller compare to the picture. Compact room for the price. I took executive premier room very small compare to other hotels. The shower is either too hot or cold...hard to adjust the water temperature. The breakfast is simple.

The location was great, a quieter street just around the corner from the Ho Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter. We arrived on a Saturday to find the surrounding roads to be closed to vehicles during the weekends, which was very pleasant to walk around. There were plenty of places to eat, drink, and have massages close by. The hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to help. They also have a rooftop bar, too, with great views over the city. The rooms were spacious with large, comfortable double beds. The breakfast was very good too, a variety of continental pastries to congee and fried meats and vegetables, pancakes to noodles. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Having lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand for nineteen years Hanoi is just a short 1.5 hour plane ride for us. We have been to Hanoi many times staying in both hotels and Airbnb's. This time we stayed at the Sunline and l honestly wish we had discovered it years ago. There is nothing that is not perfect about this hotel, the location is fantastic and you can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in just a few minutes, a proper Vietnamese coffee shop, established 1946, is just outside the entrance and you are literally surrounded by shops and restaurants. Every member of staff from the guy who holds the door open through the reception staff, cleaners, waiters and bar staff were amazing. Breakfast was brilliant with a large selection of Western and Vietnamese dishes that changed pretty much every day. We will stay at this hotel every time we revisit Hanoi and you should too.

We did not like that we had to leave.

The Sunline hotel is in a premium, central Old Quarter location, only two minutes walk to Hoan Kiem lake. The rooms are well appointed, clean and modern. Importantly, it is whisper quiet at night (I guess good soundproofing), ensuring a great nights sleep with no horn honking. The buffet breakfast was varied and definitely enough for our Western tastes, from cornflakes, muesli, salad, yoghurt, hot food, breads etc. There's also a menu you can order from for eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, French toast and Pho. The rooftop bar is a great place to view the city and lake, and enjoy a cold beer on a hot day. Like everywhere else in Vietnam, the staff are just brilliant! We have returned twice to Sunline and will be returning again after our trip in Sa Pa. Thanks Sunline.

I would say the location was the best, in the Old Quarter, sort of 1 street back from the lake, but accessible within just a few minutes. Very little noise and one of the best rooftop bars around the area for height and views. So easy to walk further in the Old Quarter from Sunline. Within moments you are in the heart of the markets and all the shops, a relatively quiet street protects you from the heavy traffic. Staff were great from Checkin to Checkout. Very friendly and helpful. I did have breakfast and dinner at the hotel and was very impressed. I did a lot of walking around the old quarter, french quarter and further afield, would say this is a better choice as you can start off and head in any of the directions with ease. A very nice and comfortable bed as well, soft, lots of pillows.

I didn't feel there were any issues that didn't meet my expectations, so nothing I didn't like.

1. Location : The Hotel is so strategically located as it is surrounded by many shops and eateries esp the famous pizza outlet 4Ps Pizza just right opposite the Hotel. Also the highly recommended Met Restaurant and MIAs Restaurant, BRG Mart all within 2-5 mins walk away. Hoan Kiem Lake and Night Market/Walking Street is also just 2-3 mins walk away. Centrally located where you can take Grab to any places you want within short distance or can walk to any places (Train Street, Beer Street, St Joseph Cathedral, Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, Hanoi Opera House, Trang Tien Plaza etc) with ease. Can take OCT2 free electric shuttle bus to Mega Grand World Hanoi and the newly opened Vincom Mega Mall Ocean City from bus kiosk near Hanoi Opera House. 2.Hoan Kiem Lake is nearby where you can take the Hop On Hop Off Bus (Kiosk opposite Highland Coffee building) and Electric Car (near Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre). 3.Klook pick-up from Hotel. Since Hotel is located on a narrow lane and not main road, the operator will assign a person on bike to lead you and we walk behind him to where the bus is located, just a short distance away and not a problem at all. Very efficient planning. 4.Hotel - staff really friendly, efficient and helpful. Can speak English so communication is not a problem. Very grateful to have Jasmine and Alice for helping us in the reservation of airport transfers, restaurants and guidance. Efficient communication via Whatsapp with the staff, very fast response. 5.Rooms - we booked two Executive Room with Balcony & City View. The rooms are bright, very clean, toilet also very clean with strong water pressure, little noise from streets and I love their beds, so nice and comfortable with extra pillows. 6.Breakfast - Not many choices but their food were delicious and some dishes changed daily. I really enjoyed their breakfast with coffee and especially the soft fluffy pancakes and omelette (can choose your preference of cooking) so tasty!!

The room furniture a bit " old looking" so if can upgrade would be great. Also make sure TVs are smart TV. Other than that, everything is perfect!!

- Excellent customer service. Hani and the front of house staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, professional and helpful. We stayed a total of 6 nights (split up with a trip to Ninh Binh in between). The team assisted us with many questions throughout our stay, called businesses on our behalf when we didn't have a local mobile number, arranged transport and luggage storage etc. I was also impressed at the details they remembered about us! They must be dealing with hundreds of travellers at a time, but their attention to detail never wavered. - Location is amazing! So central within the Old Quarter. We were able to walk everywhere. Only took Grab occasionally for further destinations. - King size bed is huge and really comfortable mattress - Clean - Great water pressure/temperature - Breakfast buffet was decent

- More basin space/storage under the sink would be helpful. The bathroom size can be a bit squashy for 2 people. - Would love an alternative milk option with the breakfast buffet (one of oat, soy, almond)

- All the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Emma helped us with booking tours and travel which have been great. - It's a great location, pretty quiet street, and walking distance to several attractions and the old town - Good breakfast - The room was good, the enormous bed was great - Nice rooftop terrace

- The rooms are a little bit tired, but not bad at all, we were very happy - Some of the online photos have been edited with AI which is a bit misleading. The hotel is very nice, so it's a shame to reduce trust using edited images

The inhouse restaurant was a great bonus for breakfast each day and became our alarm clock to get downstairs for coffee and a varied selection of choices for breakfast. From croissants and toast to fully cooked breakfast both international and local with very attentive staff and extremely happy to assist. Always with a smile. Reception staff greeted us every day who could also advise on the area and helped locate transport to get to places of interest. The rooftop bar was excellent. Huu is an exceptional barman. The room was cleaned daily and the laundry service helped immensely. Our time there has meant a return visit is on the cards. we loved it all.

There was nothing I could fault with the Hotel, the staff , the price and the location.

We picked the Sunline Central hotel because of its location and from reading the reviews. We have to say it didn't disappoint. The location in the heart of the old quarter close to the lake was brilliant as it meant we could walk to most places. Coffee shops and restaurants are also very close by. The room was lovely and well presented, and the bed was super comfortable. It was also very quiet considering it's central location. The breakfast was exceptional. Lots to choose from for all. From continental, western, and asian tastes, there is something for everyone. With different dishes each day. All the staff are extremely friendly and will try their best to make sure your stay is the best it can be. We stayed for seven nights, and we can't recommend the Sunline Central highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we ever come back to Hanoi. Don't miss out on a lovely experience.

We don't think there was anything we didn't like. It's an exceptional hotel in an exceptional location with exceptional staff.
